Created modern, illustrated versions of Adam and
Aneesah to appeal to children
entertainment space. However, as we embrace faster, modern production styles and methods
and expand the franchise, we realized there was a need to develop modern, illustrated
versions of Adam and Aneeshah as a stepping stone in our strategy to move towards even
more engaging media uses such as in apps, games, learning activities and animated series.
After a lot of brainstorming and a lengthy creative process, we managed to create flat, modern versions
of both characters that were eye-catching, likeable, dynamic and true to the original characters.
Worked with software vendor to design and develop
an attractive and user friendly Adam’s World app
Since most children (and parents) these days are accustomed to the user experience o ered by
Netflix, Hulu and other similar services, we decided to use a platform that would o er a small
learning curve and give them a quick, familiar and convenient way to access the Adam’s World
content they had already grown to trust over the years.
07
Beta versions of Adam’s World app available on all
major platforms
This was a big milestone for us as we wanted to be available to parents and children around the
world, regardless of which device they used. So we made test releases of the app available for
people who wanted to view content via their web browser, for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and
tablets. Furthermore, since the apps supported wirelessly transmitting the videos to TVs and
projectors on the same network using Chromecast and Apple Airplay, this allowed content from
our apps to play on virtually any device or display, furthering our promise to bring quality content
to kids wherever they may be.
Developed the Adam’s World website for more resources
We realized that the impact that Adam and Aneesah have was too big to be restricted only to
video, so we developed a website to go with the app for offering other, secondary content such
as parenting advice, teacher resources, articles, tips, tricks, activity sheets and room to grow in
flexible and fun ways.

MuslimFest is a large-scale cultural-arts festival that has taken place across major North
American cities for over 1 5 years. The annual public event represents a nonprofit effort to bring
together diverse individuals and communities from across the United States and Canada to
enjoy and learn from different forms of cultural expression. The festival includes live musical
performances, comedy shows, creative workshops, art exhibitions, children’s activities, and
more. MuslimFest attracts a diverse array of local and international artists and musicians, a
multicultural bazaar, and kids’ activities that festival-goers look forward to every year.
MuslimFest is an award-winning collaborative program by Sound Vision and DawaNet. Our
mission is to position art as a community development mechanism for Muslim youth. The
festival also facilitates building bridges and friendships by bringing all different communities and
neighbours together. This represents a significant step in the direction of promoting tolerance,
diversity and multiculturalism.

every summer, MuslimFest has also organized smaller year-long programming and events
promoting cultural arts in major U.S. cities including St. Louis, San Francisco, Detroit, Boston,
and Chicago.
