About Class Of Their Own
Class Of Their Own provide an
exciting range of play opportunities
in a secure environment for
primary school children aged
4 – 11 years old. Class Of Their
Own is based in Hove and is run
by sisters Sam Thomson and Tanya
Petherick.

As a family run business, we are passionate about providing local
children with exciting opportunities during the holidays.

Exploring Through Play

As a Class Of Their Own Play Explorer, your child will experience
a unique combination of freely chosen play and stimulating activities
in our eight well-resourced Play Explorer Zones, and through
our planned programme of Play Explorer Activities.

Play Explorer Zones In our eight Play Explorer Zones, each

Play Explorer will have access to a huge range of indoor and
outdoor play resources and activities which aren’t always readily
available at home.

for all ages

Games and outdoor equipment to get all children
active

For over 8’s, where they can enjoy each others
company and access resources just for them!

The important thing is that every day is different!

Whether your child is attending every day throughout the

holiday, or just occasionally, our aim is for them to find lots

they love about the club. Our enthusiastic team are provided

with a huge range of resources and will encourage children to

expand the activities as they wish.

Play Explorer Activities

Our new range of Play Explorer activities are pre-planned
adult-led activities.

These exciting, well thought out activities compliment the daily
theme and provide children with the opportunity to develop
specific skills and interests. Some activities will be large groups
working together on a project or playing a game, others are
individual accomplishments. All are child-centred activities with
the focus being on enjoyment and enrichment; children can take
part in activities, becoming absorbed in new interests or further
developing existing ones.

Who are the team? Our enthusiastic team members are hand

picked for their commitment, professionalism and fun attitude. All
staff members undergo a DBS check and go through our rigorous
training.

New Child Policy We understand that for some children (and

parents/carers!) the first day can be a daunting experience, whilst
others walk in without a backwards glance. To ensure that
everyone feels comfortable on their first visit, each new child is
allocated a dedicated Playleader to introduce them to the staff
members and other children, show them around the club, and pair
them up with a buddy. Reception aged children will be appointed a
key worker everyday to ensure they have great fun!

How to book...

Bookings are accepted on a first come, first served basis. For
full details of our holiday programme, or to book and pay online,
please visit www.classoftheirown.com or complete and detach the
booking form and return to us with payment.

Bookings are only accepted with payment and will be confirmed
by email upon receipt.

You may be able to claim up to 70% of your childcare costs back
through tax credits, visit www.gov.uk/claim-tax-credits to find out
more.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings may be cancelled and refunded up until 12th October.

From 13th to 19th October, bookings can be altered or cancelled
and a credit will be applied to your account.

Once the holidays have started, no alterations, credits or refunds
can be made.

What do I need to bring?

Children need to bring a packed lunch – free from products
containing nuts please – and a drink. We recommend that children
leave their best clothes at home as they may get dirty and bring a
waterproof, as we love to play outside come rain or shine!

What about snacks?

Our clubs are healthy eating clubs and we provide a delicious
and nutritious snack in the morning and afternoon breaks.
