Account Deadline Drawing Near!
Did you have a healthcare flexible spending account during the 2017/2018 plan year? If so, please be
reminded that the deadline for submitting claims for eligible expenses incurred between September 1, 2017
and August 31, 2018 is Friday, November 30. The maximum amount an employee can carry over from one
plan year to another is $500 if the plan is re-elected for the following year. Any balance remaining above
this amount will be forfeited.
If you did not renew the plan for the 2018/2019 plan year and your remaining balance is less than $100, the
balance will not roll over. As a result, please be sure to submit claims for all eligible expenses to ensure that
your carry-over balance is reduced down to $500. For a complete list of eligible expenses, please visit the
Chard Snyder website at www.chard-snyder.com.
