fans every year. With a stadium seating
capacity of 6,500 a Saturday night at
Reeves Field provides one of the best
atmospheres in small college football.
Last year Geneva was ranked seventh

Coverage Policy Credentials: Credentials
for Geneva home games are issued to
working media only and should be requested
as early as possible. All credential requests
should be directed to Christy Lear, Interim
Director of Sports Information.

PRACTICE COVERAGE

Media representatives are welcome to cover
Golden Tornadoes football practice, but they should
notify Christy Lear of the sports information office in
advance for proper clearance. For interviews, please
allow 24 hours for requests.
Head coach Geno DeMarco will be available for interviews
after practice sessions. Please notify the sports information office with
any requests at least a day in advance.
Player interviews are not allowed during practice or while players are
going to the practice field. Player interviews after practice must be pre-
arranged through the sports information office.
Photographers may shoot only from the sidelines at practice. Dialogue
between players and coaches at practice is confidential. Please use
discretion in reporting practice in such areas as plays, formations
and injuries. If there is any question in your mind about what may be
reported, please ask Coach DeMarco.

POSTGAME INTERVIEWS

The postgame interview room is located at the end of the
athletic department hallway on the second floor of Metheny
Fieldhouse. Coach DeMarco, as well as any Geneva
players, will be available ten to 15 minutes after the end
of the game. Player interview requests should be made
to Christy Lear near the end of the game. Geneva’s
locker room is closed to the media and public.

CAL HUBBARD

GENEVA CLASS OF 1926

The only man to be inducted into both the professional football and baseball Halls of Fame

Relentless lineman, Cal Hubbard, played his collegiate football career at Geneva College contributing to the rich history of excellent athletics that Geneva is
proud to uphold. After playing at Geneva, Hubbard continued to thrive in his football talents at the professional level. In 1936 Hubbard retired from playing
on the football field and made a career at becoming one of the best baseball umpires of all time. In 1963 he was inducted into the football Hall of Fame
and in 1976 the baseball Hall of Fame, becoming the only man to be in both the football and baseball Halls of Fame.
