WELCOME TO THE BALBIRNIE BUSH TELEGRAPH

We are delighted to announce that we are
revitalising the previous magazine which
started here back in 1993. Our new format is
digital only, publishing at the end of every
month.
We have also launched a new written 75
page Constitution for our brigade, which is
brimming with facts and anecdotes over the
course of three decades as a hotel. We
believe we are the first hotel in Scotland to
have our own constitution.

FINAL EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER FOR 2019 AND
SUBSEQUENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR 2019.

We’re delighted to confirm today that David Murray is Balbirnie’s 4th
Employee of the Season for 2019 and subsequently he has won the
accolade of Employee of the Year 2019. Well done David!

The employee survey was circulated throughout the entire brigade
via “Survey Monkey”.
Our company Directors have arranged for a wonderful Wine trip for 2
to a European vineyard, with all flights, transfers, accommodation
and meals included. This prize is in association with Inverarity
Morton. We hope you enjoy this wonderful and well deserved prize!

David has stepped into the roles of Duty Manager and Master of
Ceremonies, for Weddings.
Subsequent to special occasions taking place, Balbirnie House has
received many letters of thanks from our wedding clients, especially
expressing kind and heartfelt comments about David’s wonderful
hospitality and successful event overview. In the fourth season of
2019, David was wedding MC on the day that Balbirnie House
received the Haute Grandeur global award for ‘Best Destination
Wedding Hotel’, and early in 2020 is going to be attired for wedding
MC duty, in a 21st century kilt. Scotland Hospitality all the way.

THE BALBIRNIE HOUSE APPRENTICESHIP

We are delighted to introduce
our new Apprenticeship Project.

Balbirnie would love to invest in the new generation
to instil and inspire a passion about Hospitality. This
apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity and will
teach young individuals about multiple departments
within the Hotel and give them the opportunity to
flourish. It certainly looks like we will run the
apprenticeship with 5 individuals which will span
over a 2 year period. No formalised school
qualifications will be necessary. More information to
follow shortly.

LAUNCH OF THE NEW MENU

To launch our New Menus, we did a social media share. This received a wonderful reaction and
we are happy to announce that Grace Greeves won the competition for a Champagne Brunch for
4 and Catherine Sinclair won the competition for Dinner for 4 in our Orangery along with a
bottle of Champagne. We received such a truly great response from the competition, and you
will be happy to know that we shall do it again on our next season menu launch!

ANNOUNCING THE DATE OF THE BALBIRNIE
DUATHLON

This event always sells out, as it is truly a remarkable
occasion. The 8th Annual Glenrothes Triathlon Club Event
is to be held on Wednesday the 24th of June 2020. This
event will start at 6pm.

Also NEW for 2020 will be the addition of a 2 team relay,
a few of our team are joining.

For entry to this fabulous Duathlon you can register via
Entry Central in March. This event is so popular it has
been sold out every single year! We shall keep you posted

Afternoon Gaynor, We had the pleasure of experiencing
Chefs Table for the first time on Saturday.
Just a quick message to say thank you to
yourself and all the Balbirnie staff for all their What a fantastic experience! The food
was amazing, as was the hospitality, and
