Youth Enrichment & Recreation

SING SONG YOGA –
Ages 5 to 11

Sing Song Yoga is a children’s based musical
yoga program in which song lyrics instruct children
how to get into the poses. Benefits of yoga in
children include: improved focus, body awareness,
strengthening and toning the body, increasing self
confidence, building coordination, and having a
calming effect.
Students should bring a yoga mat or towel to each
class. Cost for this class is $20.

CHAMPION FORCE ATHLETICS CHEER - Ages 4 and up

Champion Force Athletics Cheer is a fun and exciting program for students ages 4 through 15 with or without previous cheer
experience. Students will learn jumps, kicks, arm motions, stunting, cheers and chants, and learn a pom dance. Students
will learn the necessary skills needed for school cheerleading tryouts. Our program works to build self confidence, poise, self
esteem, and physical fitness. Register and pay at the first class.

Come join the fun and learn how to twirl a baton! Baton (TAPRC)
twirling is making a comeback as the latest and greatest
sensation! Our baton twirling classes not only focus on Youth Baseball and Softball: Spring 2018 registration

ART - INTERMEDIATE AND
ADVANCED MULTI-MEDIUM
PAINT
Ages 18 and up

This class follows a step-by-step approach to several types of
painting. Students will complete a painting during each class.
Prior experience is a prerequisite for this class. Instruction
working with acrylics, oils, and watercolor will be covered.
Students will learn/review color theory, division of space,
composition, and painting techniques. Some painting surfaces
will be provided for the class and a list of supplies will be
provided. Cost for this class is $64 plus basic supplies.

WATER AEROBICS – Ages 18 and up

Why not join the perfect class to condition the body? Water Aerobics is a fun way to do a high intensity workout with low
impact on your joints. This class is made to order just for you. No swimming skills are necessary, you will be taught techniques
on how to stay upright with feet on the floor of the pool. Whether you are young or old, male or female, really fit or not…you will
be taught the WATER ART method to help you gain strength, balance, and lose inches by tailoring the exercises just for your
range of motion. Have fun, make friends, and at the same time rejuvenate the spirit and mind. Session 1 and 2 are $44 each.
Can’t commit to a whole session? Drop-in to a class for $7 paid directly to the instructor.

AND SENIOR CENTER!

Thornapple Kellogg is excited to announce the opening of the TK Community Enrichment
and Senior Center located in the TK High School, 3885 Bender Road, southeast corner
of the building. This center will be available for our senior community members as a place
to meet, enjoy a variety of activities, and workshops. See the TK Senior Center Activities

schedule on page 8. We are starting out small and hope to expand the center and
programs offered. To access the parking for the center, use the driveway to the athletic

lobby parking lot. Use the entry door nearest Bender Road.
