การใช้ Have got และ have
Have got และ have ต่างมีความหมายวา่ “มี” เหมือนกันแต่ Have got จะใชแ้ บบไมเ่ ปน็ ทางการนัก ตัวอยา่ ง
ประโยคทีใ่ ช้ have (got) กบั have ดังน้ี
- I’ve got a terrible pain in my back.
- I have a terrible pain in my back. (เปน็ ทางการมากกว่า)
- They haven’t got a car.
- They don’t have a car. (เป็นทางการมากกวา่ )
ในภาษาอังกฤษใช้ have got หรือ have เพอ่ื บอกถึงความเปน็ เจา้ ของ, ความสัมพันธ์, คุณลกั ษณะ และอาการ
เจบ็ ป่วย และในบริบทดงั กล่าวนี้จะไม่ใชร้ ปู ประโยค Continuous (V.be + Ving) ตัวอยา่ ง

ความเปน็ เจ้าของ (possession)
She’s got two cats and a dog.
She has two cats and a dog.
ไมใ่ ช้: She is having got two cats and a dog.
Have you got a drill?
Do you have a drill? (เปน็ ทางการกวา่ )
I've got a new computer.
They haven't got any red chili peppers.

How many brothers do you have? (เป็นทางการกว่า)

She has a new boyfriend. (เปน็ ทางการกวา่ )
He hasn't got many friends.

อาการเจ็บปว่ ย (illness)
I have never had the measles.
She’s got a headache.
ไม่ใช้: She is having a headache.

Note:
รูปประโยคบอกเล่า S + have/has (got)+ O.
รปู ประโยคปฏิเสธ S + have/has + not + got + O?
รปู ประโยคคำถาม Have/Has + S + got + O?
รูปย่อ ’ve got / ’s got

จากจากนี้เรายงั สามารถใช้ have got ไดก้ บั ตารางเวลา/เหตกุ ารณ์ หรอื แม้กระทั่งสง่ิ ท่ีเป็นนามธรรมได้ดว้ ย เชน่

แต่รปู have got จะไม่ใช้กบั อดตี (past tense) จะใช้รูป (present tense) เม่อื จะพดู ถึงส่ิงตา่ งๆ ทก่ี ลา่ วมา
ขา้ งตน้ ในรูปอดตี จะใช้ have ในรปู กรยิ าช่องท่ี 2 คือ had ธรรมดา เช่น .
I had a racing bicycle.
She had terrible ill last month
He had beautiful cat but now it gone.
