You may remember in the December edition of Yello we mentioned Maria Charity news
Rackley from the Ilford store, who had been organising a food drive for the
Welcome Centre.
The Ilford team, led by Maria, continued their hard work and collected up all
the items, calculated them and placed them all in the unit belonging to the
Welcome Centre, accompanied by an inventory.
They collected 120 food items and over 160 comfort items and toiletries.
Another amazing effort and a huge well done to Maria and all the effort she
has personally put in to the charity work.

Some top tips from the Big Yellow blog for those everyday Life Hacks
problems........
Stop the slip
To prevent your clothes from slipping and falling off into
the bottom of your wardrobe, add a zigzag of glue to the
hangers. Remember to wait for it to dry first! This is a
really nifty hack to keep your clothes storage nice and
tidy.
Lucious Linen
Keeping the bed linen cupboard organised can be a bit of
a nightmare, especially with all the different coloured
sheets and duvets. Here's a great way to keep it looking
tip top - fold the bed sheets and put them in the
matching pillow cases.

Gauge where your fuel cap is
Surely the most commonly asked question when driving
an unfamiliar car is, 'which side is the fuel cap?' In most
new cars, you simply need to pay a little more attention
to your dashboard. There is a small arrow to the side of
the pump symbol showing which side it's on.
Hanging around
Doing the clothes washing is a chore on any day of the
week, but this simple tip should make it a little more
bearable. Use hangers for clothes on a washing line to
maximise the space.

Brain Teasers Tea Break
1. How can you throw a ball as hard as you can and have it come
back to you, even if it doesn't bounce off anything? There is
nothing attached to it, and no one else catches or throws it back
to you.
2. A man who lives on the tenth floor takes the elevator down to
the first floor every morning and goes to work. In the evening,
when he comes back; on a rainy day, or if there are other people
in the elevator, he goes to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes
to the seventh floor and walks up three flights of stairs to his
apartment. Can you explain why?

2. The man is of short stature. He can't reach the upper elevator
buttons, but he can ask people to push them for him. He can also
push them with his umbrella.
