The first thing that Zig Zigler taught us Zig Zigler also tell us to set a duration time
about setting our goals and dream is to needed to achieve our goal. I will strive
write down the dream. We cannot just hard to make sure I can achieve my goal at
imagine the dream in our mind and wish the age of 31 (2026). I will graduate my
that the dream come true! Everything Bachelor Degree in Marketing by the age of
starts with the first step and the first step 25 (2020) and I will have approximately 5

To excel in industry, one need to
have wide network and resources to
utilise every aspects that can lead to
profitability. In becoming the huge
star in Marketing field, I build my
network with established companies
to learn the tricks and challenges in
industry. Future goal can be achieved
by starting to gain knowledges and
experiences dealing with the
industry. Next, I need maintain a
good relationship with my lecturers
as the main source of knowledge
right now is from them.

5) DETERMINE WHAT I
NEED TO KNOW

To stand higher than anyone to achieve
my goal, I need to equip myself with
unique knowledge; EXPERIENCES.
Knowledge gained from experiences can
help me become better in problem
solving which is the quality needed in the
industry especially Fashion. I need to
experience myself the environment
working in the industry at every chances
that I can get, especially during my
upcoming internship. Besides, knowledge
from experiences can be gained from an
informal sharing session with individuals
working in the industry or from a good
relationship with developed companies.
Furthermore, theoritical knowledges
from the book also need to be learned
and understand.

6) CREATING A PLAN
ACTION

Creating and executing action plan
will portray that we are serious in
achieving our goal. There are 4
action plan that I will do to become a
successful Marketing Manager in
FashionValet. First I will improve my
time management to be able to
complete more task in a given time.
Second, I will enhance my
communication skills to widen my
network in industry. Next, I will
strive harder to gain more
knowledge and keep myself updated
with latest demand of industry.
Lastly I will make sure to finish my
degree by 2020, suits with the
original plan.

7) YOUR SUCCESS

Fast-forward to 2026, Alhamdulillah I
might be able to living my dream to
work as the youngest Marketing
Manager of FashionValet! I will make
sure to work smart and work hard to
sustain the position as Marketing
Manager and use every soft skills and
my knowledges for the benefit of
FashionValet beside always
enhancing myself with new and
better skills and values that can
benefit myself, people around me
(friends, family and colleagues), and
also FashionValet.

MY S.M.A.R.T. GOAL

S.M.A.R.T. goal theory was invented by 3 scholars named George Doran, Arthur Miller and
James Cunningham. This theory invented to help everyone in setting up high quality,
achievable and worthy goals.

S - SPECIFIC

I need to be specific in setting up my goal. Before I can set up my goal, I will ask myself
with what, when, where, whom, why and how. My goal is to become the Marketing
Manager in fashion industry. I set to achieve my goal in 2026, which is the year when I
reach my 31st years old. My dream is to work in the leading company in fashion industry
which is FashionValet. I figured that I need to build and expand my network and
relationship with important people in the industry such as media influencers and
managers to increase my knowledges and enhance my soft skills to be valuable in the
industry.

M - MEASURABLE

The goal that needed to be set need to be measurable in the context of the
achievement of the goal. I want to be a Marketing Manager of FashionValet and my goal
can be measure by how far I am in becoming the Marketing Manager or whether I have
achieve my goal when I get the position of Marketing Manager in FashionValet.

A - ACHIEVABLE

Based on the duration I'm giving myself to prepare and equip myself with the right tools
to become the Marketing Manager of FashionValet, the goal is logically achievable given
the journey will go smoothly without any sudden obstacles.

R - REALISTIC

I need to make sure that my goal is realistic and can really be achieved with the right
plan and determination. Being a Marketing Manager in FashionValet is realistic and can
be achieved in reality. It is not the same with someone who wish to ride a unicorn!

T - TIMELY

Our desired goal need to be set in a timeline. The timeline of our goal exists as a guide
to always keep ourselves on track. It is also for the purpose of creating urgency and
increase self-drive motivation everytime the duration to achieve the goal shorten. For
example like I stated before, I will finish my degree in 2020 and will ensure myself to be
the Marketing Manager for FashionValet in 2026. That is a timeline!
