BASIC TRACK ADN

• 39 Credit Hours in Nursing over 4 Regular semesters (Fall/Spring,
Fall/Spring) + 21 General Ed Credit Hours

• First Year each semester consists of :

• Nursing Theory Courses , Lab Skills Courses, Clinical Courses, RNSG 1301 and
possibly Gen Ed Course(s) (BIOL 2402)

• Second Year, each semester consists of:

• Nursing Theory Courses , Clinical Courses and Gen Ed Courses (BIOL 2420,
PSYC 2301 and Creative Arts/Language/Philosophy/Cultural Elective)

TYPICAL SCHEDULE FOR ADN STUDENT

(4 days a week-first year, second year is two theory and one clinical day )

• All other Admission Aspects Apply to Transition Students (Background Check,
Entrance Exam, etc.)

• Three Semesters of Nursing Courses BIOLs & RNSG 1301 Must be Current Within 5
• BIOL 2401*, 2402, 2420 Years

• ENGL 1301* * Complete Prior To Applying
• RNSG 1301*
(must be current within 5 years)

• Psych 2301 All Courses

• Humanities (Fine Arts) Elective
Completed

• Vocational Nursing Theory Courses, Lab Courses & Clinical Courses
• Same health requirements, BON criminal background check, and DO process

as described for both nursing programs.

ACADEMIC CRITERIA FOR VN

— BIOL 2404 OR Must be Current Within 5 Years

— BIOL 2401 AND 2402
— College Ready in Reading, Writing & Math
• Completion of application Online and when available All Courses

— Print Test Ticket off Website, Pay at Business Office & Be Aware of Assessment

Minimum “C” grade or higher, and within 5 years. Use top Maximum 4 points
