Dear St. John LaLande Parish Family & Friends,
We look forward to our 21st annual auction on
November 7, 2020. Although it will be different this year, we
anticipate a great evening. We have all learned to celebrate
with family and friends through technology, and this year
we will host our very first Virtual Auction. Our auction team
has done a terrific job of getting ready for the new format
which promises lots of opportunity for bidding, a “specialty
drink recipe”, and live updates from Zeke Montana, our
host, and John Falco, our auctioneer. We have partnered
with Summit Grill in offering a to-go auction meal for those
families celebrating at home.
Our school is a valuable part of our parish outreach and
one of the ways we can best share the “GOOD NEWS”
with the Eastern Jackson County community, making our
school and parish a place of peace and prayer.
One reason we are able to address the needs we have for
our school is your generous response. Proceeds from our
annual auction support our school’s nearly $1.4 million
dollar budget and provides us with funding for special
4
needs. This includes the establishment of an Angel Fund
for families who experience job loss or illness during
the school year, and the renovation of bathrooms at the
intermediate and primary levels.
We could not do it without you! Thank you for the many ways
you help in making this fundraiser an occasion for such a
good time. Thank you for making it a quality endeavor and for
making this an evening of fun, one that truly benefits so many.
Your gift in your generous bidding helps us continue our
long tradition of providing quality Christian education in
Eastern Jackson County. We tender a heartfelt thanks to
all! There are so many who have worked in preparing for
this evening. They deserve our greatest appreciation. We
are truly blessed!
Enjoy your evening! May God’s most generous blessings be
with you and your loved ones!
Father Ron Elliott Ann Wright
Pastor Principal

8th grADE GOODBYE
As we walk the halls of St. John LaLande for our last
year and pray the Rosary in the beautiful campus
garden, we thank you for your support throughout our
SJL grade school years. We will be prepared and ready
for success as a result of the lessons we learned from
our teachers and life we experienced through the
church of St. John LaLande. We ARE rooted in faith,
committed to service and dedicated to
academic excellence!
17
Fund-A-Need
This years Fund-A-Need
has two efforts:
The first one is the “Angel
Fund” which is for our
families who experience
economic hardship in the
form of illness or job loss
during the school year. We
have a strong program
at St. John LaLande
and want children to be
able to continue to experience that even during family
emergencies. Our goal is at least $5,000.
The second effort is to purchase “touchless” faucets and
hand towel dispensers for school bathrooms. With the
world changing daily, we need to prepare our schools’
environment for the best protection we can offer. These
touchless items will provide that. There is work to remove
our old fixtures and prepare to install these products. As
a result of our Mustang Raffle in 2019, this summer we
were able to renovate the middle school restrooms. We
would like to continue to provide improvements for our
intermediate and primary levels. Our goal is $10,000.
Your donations will help us continue to provide for our
students. Thank you so much for your support!
