going to have very brief one-on-one meetings with some of the leaders at your campus to help you gain
a better vision of what is expected of you as an instructor on our campus.

The safety of instructors and students is a top priority for our organization. You will receive an ID Badge
that will allow access to the building, faculty areas and copy/printers. You will also receive information
concerning your position with us and our expectations of you as an instructor in the classroom. We want
you to understand all aspects of your new position as you integrate into our campus.

The faculty handbook outlines your benefits, responsibilities and policies of our organization. Please

complete OB100 New Instructor Orientation Phase I in Canvas before signing the Acknowledgement

new role and what a valuable member of the team you are. You will be learning a lot more during your
first few weeks here. Remember, there are a lot of people who are here to help you succeed so please

Phase II and Phase III: Canvas Training

Phase II – Train to Teach
It is imperative for our new instructors to be aware of and know important facets of their job in order to
be successful. The following trainings and acknowledgements for Phase II must be completed prior to
the term/module start. This phase of your training includes information that you will need to be
effective in your classroom, both procedurally and in creating an engaging learning environment. Phase
II must be completed before beginning Phase III.

Phase III – Instructional
Additional training in Phase III will need to be completed in the first 45 days of the term. You will receive
information on what is expected of you as an instructor in the classroom both professionally and as a
role model for your students. These courses are designed to provide you with the skills needed to be a
success in the classroom and to ensure that your students are successful. We hope this will be an
interesting learning experience for you.
The New Instructor Orientation Leader will help you schedule your sessions with a timeline of when
these will be completed.
You will complete all trainings on the following two pages and submit the signed, completed pages to
your New Instructor Orientation Leader to be placed in your personnel file.
Phase I, Phase II and Phase III sessions are located in Canvas. Instructors will access instructor courses in
