PENGENALAN

Kepelbagaian dan kerencaman idea mahupun pendapat dalam
menghasilkan sesuatu karya yang sempurna merupakan sesuatu yang
menarik apatah lagi melibatkan 2 tokoh yang berbeza. Ungkapan
perbandingan dalam kajian ini merujuk kepada pendekatan tema dengan
membandingkan antara dua karya yang berbeza pada hakikatnya, tetapi
mempunyai persamaan yang tertentu. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk meneliti
ungkapan perbandingan yang digunakan dalam bentuk Novel dan bentuk
Cerpen. Kajian ini turut menganalisis persamaan dan perbezaan ungkapan
perbandingan yang terdapat dalam Novel Salina dan Cerpen Sesudah
Perang.

Secara umumya, Aliran Perancis mendefinisikan perbandingan dalam sastera
adalah sebagai ilmu bandingan antara dua atau lebih daripada dua
kesusasteraan. Manakala, bagi aliran Amerika lebih menekankan perbandingan
bahan-bahan sastera dengan psikologi, sosiologi, seni lukis, muzik, falsafah,
politik dan lain-lain. Inilah perbezaan besar yang membezakan kedua-dua aliran
ini. Oleh itu, kajian ini dilakukan dalam usaha untuk membandingkan 2 buah
karya antarabangsa yang didatangi dengan penulis atau pengkarya yang
berbeza iaitu A.Samad Said dan Anwar Ridhwan. Maka, apa yang
diketengahkan dalam

Maka, apa yang diketengahkan dalam kajian ini adalah melihat dari segi perbandingan
untuk merungkaikan perbezaan dan persamaan diantara kedua-dua buah karya tersebut
dalam menghasilkan sesebuah karya yang sempurna. Antaranya seperti cara
penyampaian penceritaan tersebut, gaya bahasa yang digunakan serta persamaan tema
berkaitan realisme dan ketabahan seorang wanita. Secara umumnya, perbandingan dapat
mengemukakan persamaan atau perbezaan untuk melihat sesuatu perkara yang lain
dalam bentuk huraian. Malah, boleh difahami lagi bahawa untuk melaksanakan
perbandingan pada sesuatu karya melibatkan pembentukan elemen yang sama untuk
melakukan analisis kepada sesebuah karya.

Novel Salina ini merupakan hasil karya Abdul Samad bin Mohamed Said atau lebih dikenali
sebagai A.Samad Said. Novel ini diterbitkan pada tahun 1961. Beliau merupakan seorang
penulis yang terkenal dengan karyanya yang mempunyai nilai yang tinggi. Novel Salina
yang dihasilkan oleh beliau merupakan sebuah karya yang memiliki mutu penciptaan
antarabangsa. Malah, novel Salina ini juga diangkat sebagai karya agung Melayu Moden
yang mengandungi pelbagai input yang boleh dijadikan sebagai panduan. Tambahan pula,
mengapa novel Salina ini diangkat sebagai sastera antarabangsa adalah kerana plot
penceritaan yang mengisahkan tentang kehidupan masyarakat yang diharungi dalam
realiti kehidupan manusia di serata dunia. Oleh itu, secara keseluruhan bagi novel ini adalah
mengisahkan tentang keadaan atau kehidupan masyarakat selepas perang dunia kedua.

Secara ringkasnya, bagi novel Salina ini merupakan novel yang diberi nama “Gerhana” pada
awalnya. Walau bagaimanapun, novel ini telah ditukar namanya atas permintaan penulis novel itu
sendiri. Malah, novel ini juga dihasilkan dengan cara yang serba moden sehingga menjadi sebuah
karya sastera antarabangsa. Bahkan, ianya juga dihasilkan melalui pemikiran baharu dan gaya
hidup baharu yang lebih moden. Novel ini sememangnya merupakan novel yang mengisahkan
kehidupan sebahagian daripada mangsa-mangsa Perang Dunia Kedua di sebuah
perkampungan kecil di Singapura yang bernama Kampung Kambing. Dalam pada itu, peristiwa-
peristiwa dalam novel ini juga terbina dan tersusun dalam cara yang penuh dengan daya
ketegangan melalui penggunaan teknik-teknik lintasan kembali dan imbas muka yang silih
berganti. Novel ini juga banyak memberikan gambaran sebenar kehidupan masyarakat yang
terdesak dan mengalami kepincangan keluarga dan sebagainya.

Manakala, bagi karya yang kedua yang dikupaskan oleh pengkaji bagi melihat perbandingan 2
buah karya antarabangsa ialah berbentuk cerpen yang diberi tajuk “Sesudah Perang”. Cerpen ini
dibina dan ditulis oleh penulis terkenal iaitu Dato' Dr. Mohd Anwar Ridhwan atau lebih dikenali
sebagai Anwar Ridhwan. Cerpen ini diterbitkan pada tahun 1976. Beliau juga merupakan
Sasterawan Negara Malaysia ke-10 dan juga merupakan seorang penulis novel Malaysia. Melalui
cerpen ini, pembaca dibawa menyusuri tentang kisah ketabahan hati seorang wanita dalam
mengharungi liku-liku kehidupan. Dalam cerpen ini mendedahkan kepada beberapa nilai dan
pengajaran yang dapat para pembaca contohi. Dalam dunia penulisan, penulis terkenal dengan
karya penulisan pendek. Cerpen Sesudah Perang ini adalah antara karya terkenalnya dalam
penulisan pendek pada tahun 1976.

Serba sedikit tentang umum mengenai tema yang akan dianalisis oleh pengkaji untuk melihat
perbandingan diantara kedua buah karya. Tema ialah sebuah erti suatu pemikiran atau dasar
cerita yang dipercakapkan serta dipakai sebagai dasar mengarang, menggubah, mencipta
sesuatu karya dan sebagainya. Selain itu, menurut Aminudin, tema adalah suatu idea yang
mendasari suatu cerita sehingga berperanan sebagai pangkal tolak pengarang dalam
memaparkan karya fiksi yang diciptanya dengan lebih sempurna melalui kreativiti yang
dihasilkan.

Manakala, bagi karya yang kedua yang dikupaskan oleh pengkaji bagi melihat perbandingan 2
