Concious packaging

Packaging is one of the biggest challenges for the retail industry in
regards to sustainability and environmental harm, 30% of world waste
comes from paper and cardboard. In partnering with NGS tech company
we looked to create a packaging that last longer. The challenge was about
representing the top qualities of the smartphone Odyssea; Dual sim,
good inner camera and adaptability without forgetting conscious design.

Relax and enjoy your balcony as you’ve never
done before, swinging from your Maca.

With three different positions, this hammock
promises a new life for forgotten balconies.

Creating swinging balconies

-

At first balconies played a social role, observing life “from above” gave
the lords and ladies a society privilege. Nowadays in Spain the balcony
has two functions; a platform of self expression where people hangs
flags and banners. And a storage area, where people leaves unwanted
objects and some exterior plants.
MACA wants to return the previous value of the balconies. By letting
people decorate their balcony with MACA we promote expression
and at the same time we give a purpose to the balconies using them as
hammocks.

Respecting the flora

For this first prototype a special pattern was designed insipired in the
characteristic leafs from the trees of Barcelona city. Respecting the flora
makes a visual merge betweeen the trees and the balconies.

Drink cava anywhere in summer!

-

VA is a packaging that preserves the temperature
of your cava wherever you go. It transfroms

easily into an ice bucket, a sand protecror and a
float spot to cool your drink in the water.

An effortless outdoors party

-

Drinking cava is linked to celebrations. During summer and thanks to
the good weather, parties can take place anywhere. The problem is that
is difficult to mantain Cava’s flavour at exterior spaces, because the bottle
needs to be preserved at low temperature. VA is a packaging designed
to transport and cool cava bottles, with the available resources at the
surroundings.

VA is a reversible packaging with a
truncated cone shape that lets the
product take two positions. The
floating position that transports,
protects and preserves tem-
perature of the bottle and the
reversible position that works as
an ice bucket.

more effectively and keep your motivation high

outside of therapy sessions.

Getting involved in their world

With research, we realized that speech therapy is an efficient way to
improve the communication ability and quality of life for people with
intellectual disabilities. With constant practice and appropriate follow-up,
speech therapy is found to be very impactful. However, speech therapy is
expensive. Also, current methods can be demotivating and therapists can
be hard to access.

LASI, is a customizable device,
tailor-made for people with
intellectual disabilities. LASI
is used by an individual with
mental disability undergoing
speech therapy to practise
personalized speech exercises
created by his own therapist.

Physical Feedback

-
Through speech recognition, LASI analyzes if the user performs the exer-
cise correctly, the system provides physical feedback in the form of lights,
vibrations, images or smooth surfaces, otherwise a facial reconstruction of
the user demonstrates the correct movement for guided references. It also
implements gamification and physical interactions to keep users motivated

and tries to achieve faster and effective speech improvement.
