Welcome to our UK & European
Holiday brochure for 2017.

Once again, we are offering a small handpicked selection of tours to both
the UK and Mainland Europe that we are sure will love.

All our tours will be on our modern, Air Conditioned coaches that will be
less than 5 years old with our experienced, friendly drivers.

Our European tours benefit from the services of a courier to provide
refreshments during the journey.

All the hotels we use will be 3* or above with a lift to all floors (where

available) with half board accommodation (unless otherwise stated) and
all rooms are en-suite.

All excursions and entrance fees, boats, trains etc are included unless
stated otherwise (*)

Door to Door service is included on any tour of 3 nights duration or

more.

Perth, Scotland
Mon 20th - Fri 24th March 2017

A former capital of Scotland, the city of Perth is steeped in Scottish
history. Located alongside Scotland's longest river, the Tay, Perth is
recognised as one of Scotland's premier culinary centres as well as

being ideally placed to explore the fascinating local area.

Included Excursions

Falkirk – We take a boat onto the World’s only
rotating boat lift, The Falkirk Wheel. An

engineering marvel, the wheel transports boats
115ft between the Union and Forth & Canals.

The Kelpies – At 30m high and weighing more
than 300 tonnes, these incredible horse heads
are tribute to the horse power heritage that was
vital to the early industry of central Scotland.

Scone Palace – A site steeped in Scottish rule for
1500 years, we visit the crowning place of

Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II. The
Palace now hosts an outstanding collection of
antiques, rare artefacts and renowned gardens.

Isle of Man

Sun 7th - Thu 11th May 2017

With a wonderfully preserved and unique heritage and culture, this
will be the first time we tour the Isle of Man. The cliff fringed

island, complete with austere moorland, wooded glens and ancient
castles offers a diverse tour that we are sure you will enjoy.

Included Excursions

Laxey Tram and Snaefell Railway – Built in 1895, the unique
Snaefell Mountain Railway offers scenic trips to the summit

of Snaefell, the only mountain on the island, using
delightfully original Victorian rolling stock.

Island Tour to include the Peel Kipper Museum and The Manx
Museum – Since 1884, Moore’s Kipper factory has been an

active landmark of Peel, on the west coast of the Isle.
Produced using traditional, oak fired chimneys for over 120
years, the Manx Kipper museum is an interesting insight into
the past and present of Peel. The Manx Museum is bursting
with artefacts and treasures unique to the Isle of Man. The
10,000 year history of the Isle of Man is shown through film,
galleries and interactive displays that provide an interesting

day out.

Within easy walking distance of the capital’s centre, the Best
Western provides 2 restaurants, 4 bars along with an indoor leisure

centre with pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.

Weston Super Mare

The seaside resort of Weston has been enjoyed for generations,
hosting a wide bay of clean sand, a level promenade affording
superb views over the Bristol Channel, a new shopping centre and
tasteful seafront gardens, not forgetting the famous Donkeys!

Bristol Shopping & Clifton Suspension Bridge - An
opportunity to visit Brunel's world-famous bridge, over 150
year old and without doubt a stunning piece of engineering.

Longleat House (Entrance not included) - A wander through
the sweeping corridors and grand rooms of Longleat House is

to be transported back in time in this stunning example of
high Elizabethan Architecture.

Steam Train - A visit to a local Steam Railway, bringing back
the sounds and smells of a bygone era.

Roses, Spain

This will be the 3rd tour we have run to the
beautiful old fishing village of Roses, just
over the French border in the Costa Brava
region of Spain.
We keep coming back and we’re keen to
show you why!

With an abundance of scenic areas, quaint
coastal villages and historic cities, the

Costa Brava is a beautiful relaxed place to
visit. With superb sandy beaches that
sweep around the impressive bay, the

stunning backdrop of the Pyrenees and the
Crev Cap peninsula, Roses is a great base

from which to explore further.

Dalí and Duchamp.

Excursion to Besalú Market & Banyoles - A trip to
the beautiful medieval village of Besalú and the
town of Banyoles, complete with it’s delightful lake

make a great way to see rural Catalonia.

Excursion to Pals and Peratallada - These stunning
mediaeval jewels of Baix Empordà make for a
fascinating day out.

The Clock Tower, Church of Sant Pere and the Pedró
vantage point are highlights at Pals whilst the well

preserved fortified town of Peratallada, with it’s
keep, Gothic inspired features throughout the town

and unforgettable Plaça Major are a delight.

Eastbourne

Mon 4th - Fri 8th September 2017

Famous for its lush rolling landscapes, stunning beaches and iconic
chalk cliffs, the costal town of Eastbourne is a great destination to
relax for a week. A long flat promenade, famous pier and beautiful

beachfront awaits you on this Jewel of the Sussex coast.

Included Excursions

South Downs Tour - We take you for a tour through the
handsome South Downs National Park, with its rolling hills,

bustling market towns and breath-taking views.

Brighton - From the stunning Regency era Pavilion to the
classic Pier, the long promenade to the thriving cultural

centre, Brighton is a great day out.

Hastings & Rye - Hastings and the medieval town of Rye
provide a fascinating Old Town, the interesting remains of the

first castle build by William the Conqueror along with
enchanting cobbled streets to make for a great place to visit.

Wine Tasting – The wines being produced in the South Downs

1940’s Blackpool

Join us for a trip back in time!

Sunday:

We arrive in Blackpool on Sunday afternoon where a welcome tea and
coffee will be served.

Following a chance to take a stroll down the beach, you will be treated to a
buffet dinner before taking your seats for a special 1940’s show. Starring
Chris Lloyd and his special guests, you’re sure to love the great songs and

nostalgia from the era.

Monday:

After a Full English breakfast to set you up for the day,
we travel by vintage tram along Blackpool’s famous
promenade to the historic Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Home of hit TV show ‘Come Dancing’ and occasionally
‘Strictly Come Dancing’, the stylish Tower Ballrooms
play host to The Wurlitzer Afternoon Tea Dance, where
you have the opportunity to take your partner by the

hand and dance on one of the most famous of
dancefloors or simply enjoy the elegant charm and
refined beauty of the Ballroom whilst enjoying the
unforgettable sounds of the Wurlitzer whilst enjoying

an afternoon tea.
Following this fantastic afternoon, we begin our

journey back home.

Somerset Carnival Weekend

Fri 10th - Sun 12th November 2017

An illuminating spectacular, not to be missed!

Running in its current form for over 40 years, the history
of the Somerset Carnival goes back to the 1870’s!

With over 160 entries appearing last year, parading for
over 2 hours in front of over 100,000 spectators, the

Somerset Carnival is a sight to behold
with large illuminated floats up to 100ft
long and 17ft high. The Carnival clubs
spend 11 months of the year preparing
themselves for the annual spectacular
and when November comes, it’s clear to

see that time has not been wasted.
