The Generals Down Fall

The Generals Down Fall

The Generals Down Fall

By: Michael Jones

There once was a famous general known
across the land for his many victory's over
countless battles and nations and over
time he grew overconfident and arrogant.
He was even more famous because
he was known to never to
have lost a battle. His name
was Aden Steel the lord of battle.

He never admitted that some battle were
tough and when he has reached his 1,000
victory he never though about it. When
others asked him if there was another
way to prevent casualties he would
simply say “You think I didn’t considered
other options or do you think me a fool.”
He always said this for 2 reason one
being he didn’t want to admit he didn’t
and two, so he could indulge is ego which
only continued to grow.

One of his most remember battles was
named “Fall of the Wall.” It received its
name because Aden had to successfully
defeat the country of Razka by tearing
down it’s almost imponderable wall. He did
defeat them and later defeated the
emperor and that was the start
of his fame.

And without his knowledge there was a
rising power in the east.
A general by the name of
Bruce Lee Friend of the
People. He had become know
for his victory’s
over minor army’s
which were
still under Aden’s
command.

Neither knew that there fates were entire
twined nor did they know they would
become famous through history. They
would become to have fought the greatest
war that would be named the Generals
Down Fall. They were known to have been
the greatest minds at there time and no
one thought they could lose.

Aden first heard of him when he
defeated one of his smaller armies on
the coast, but thought of it as first times
luck. Aden started paying attention to
him when he defeated Aden’s third rank
army while Lee only lost 100 men. Lee
valued strategy rather than number in a
battle.

At this point Aden realized he couldn’t
keep putting it off he would have to fight
Lee, however he would do it on his terms.
Lee had been avoiding direct conflict with
Aden in order to buy enough time to build
a large enough army to
contend with Aden’s
out of fear of too
many loses.

Lee didn’t engage useless in useless
battle that would only gain glory he
focused on weakening his enemies
forces to engage in a safer battle. He
earned the title Friend of the People
because of his goal to
minimize losses and
because he never
left a soldier behind.

Lee started out as a farmer, but when he
saw how Aden’s armies were treaty
innocent people he decided it couldn't
stand. Thus a few weeks later he started
a rebellion and within a few weeks he
already how hundred and close to a
thousand. It was nowhere close to Aden’s
number but it was a good start.

Aden finally took notice of him and sent a
force of 2,000 against Lee’s force of 800.
That was more than 2x the odds of
failure, however lee secured 2
advantages. He first was able to make
sure the fight was fought on home turf
and that he would be able to perfectly
ambush them on the way to the battle.

The battle had gone on for 2 days and
ended in a defeat for Aden. This had
been Aden’s first defeat and Lee’s first
victory against Aden. What made it worst
was that Aden lost 1,700 men while Lee
lost only 50. It was a pure and utter
defeat for Aden and it sent doubts
through Aden’s forces.

When Aden got back from the battle he
was hammered with disappointment,
discontent, and disloyalty. Later that night
someone in his court had sent someone
to assassinate him. The assassination
failed, but showed Aden that this one
defeat was enough to spark a rebellion
within his own cabinet of generals and
trusted advisors.

Lee had heard of what happened in to
Aden and realized he could use this to seize
the throne for the people. He started
gathering his tacticians and started to put
together a strategy that could bring about a
peaceful outcome without Aden on the
throne. It started with one thing defeating
Aden in another battle in order to draw out
Aden’s enemies in the cabinet.

Lee didn’t really have to worry about
drawing Aden out, he was already drawing
together another force to go and defeat
Lee. This time the force would number
3,000 against Lee’s 1,500 soldiers. The odds
were slightly better for Lee than last time,

:but he still had been out numbered 2 to 1.

The battle started at about 2:00 in the
morning and lasted to about 11:00
o’clock in the morning. The battle had
ended with Aden once again losing most
of his soldiers and Lee only losing 300
out of 2,000. With terrible
odds Lee had won twice
proving not only the first
victory wasn’t a fluke, but
that Aden can be beaten.

Lee later posted an announcement to
Aden’s Cabinet to rise and join him, to put
an end to the oppression that everyone
had felt since Aden’s rule. All the member
joined Lee and were marching on Aden’s
Kingdom. They all asked for the citizens to
leave the city before they
arrived in order to avoid
unnecessary bloodshed.

Aden prepared all his forces to defend
the castle at all cost at this point the
armies numbered Aden’s 1,000 to Lee’s
4,000 because of all the lords that chose
to follow Less. Finally the odds were in
Lee’s favor. The battle had ended with
Aden’s third and final defeat.

Aden had finally admitted defeat and was
allowed to choose his own freedom if he
was willing to leave without a fight. He
did choose to leave and was later
forgotten all together. He was always
remembered in the history book as a
great general though and that fact will
not be forgotten.

Lee had taken the throne and ruled with
compassion had ushered in a time of
peace. And he said he learned one thing
from Aden “Never think your above others,
or never think it’s impossible for you to
lose to anyone.” This is a lesson he took to
heart and never forgot till his dying breath.
