Grow OutPond:

Applyevery20 daysOR when Ammonia isgreaterthan 5 ppm orNitrite is
greaterthan 0.5 ppm.

Each application should be dosed at0.5 ppm. Double the initialdosage for
each “firsttime application”.

Mix the correctdosage ofHGS-7 with 0.1 ppm Brown Sugarwater(30%
concentration)with waterand leave the mixture overnightbefore
broadcasting itinto yourpond. Ifbrown sugarisn’tavailable,itisOK to
onlyuse fresh water.

Afternoon isthe besttime to applyHGS-7 into yourpond. Activate all
aeratorsin the pond for3 hours,so asto evenlymix HGS-7 into the pond,
then return to normaloperations.

Check the waterammonia and nitrite levelsand the shrimp development,3-5
daysaftereach application.

ApplyHGS-7 again 20-30 daysafteryourinitialapplication,orwhen
ammonia/nitrite levelsare too high. W hen applying HGS-7 into an “old pond”
where the nitrite isdecreasing too slowlyorthe wateristurning back to its
originalcolor,a second application ofHGS-7 isnecessary.

Because ofnaturalevaporation,you’llneed to add waterto yourpond to
keep the waterlevelconsistent. A fullwaterexchange isNOT needed,only
change the surface waterifnecessary.

Do notuse anydisinfectantsuch asiodine when HGS-7 isin use.

Day4:Spreadtheremainingsolutionintoyourpond.

Caution: NeverkeepHGS-7thathasbeenmixedwithwaterforlongerthan5days,to
avoidthedevelopmentofmiscellaneousbacteriainyourtank.
