M, Jakarta Selatan (Jaksel), ia suka
bercengkerama mendengar keluh
kesah dan harapan warga sekitar.
Kemampuannya bergaul dan
menye­rap aspirasi warga, tercium oleh Dewan
Pim­pinan Daerah Partai Demokrasi Indonesia
(DPD PDI) Jakarta, Ipik Asmasoebrata. Maklum,
rumah politisi senior PDI lama tersebut dekat
dengan sekolah Virgianto.
“Dari rumah Pak Ipik itulah saya mulai ber­
kenalan dengan dunia politik,” tuturnya. Ia ke­
mudian bergabung dengan PDI memopulerkan

Latar belakang kemiskinan keluarganya, membuat
ia terpanggil menjadi pengacara pro bono bagi
wong cilik. Dari sana ia terjun ke gelanggang
politik dengan tujuan yang sama, membela kaum
pinggiran, seperti halnya keluarganya.
Karier politiknya berawal saat ia menjadi tim
sukses Megawati-Prabowo yang mencalonkan
diri jadi presiden dan wakil presiden tahun 2009.
Saat Joko Widodo dan Basuki Tjahaja Purnama
mencalonkan diri menjadi gubernur dan wakil
gubernur DKI, Hardiyanto pun ikut membantu
mereka di bawah bendera Partai Gerindra.
Ia lalu mencalonkan diri sebagai anggota legis­
latif di DPRD DKI tahun 2014, dan gagal meski
meraih 11 ribu suara. Hardiyanto pun kembali
disibukkan dengan kegiatan advokasi bagi wong
cilik di rumahnya di Meruya, Kembangan, Jakarta
Barat.
Menjelang tahun politik 2019, Hardiyanto
mulai tak sepaham dengan Gerindra. Ia kemudian
berganti bendera Partai Demokrasi Indonesia
(PDI) Perjuangan saat mencalonkan diri sebagai
anggota legislatif pada pemilihan legislatif 2019.
Hasilnya, ia merebut kursi di Kebon Sirih setelah
meraih 22 ribu suara.

kungan rumah. Banjir hebat yang
merendam Jakarta saat itu juga
membuat bisnis merugi. Setelah surut, Wahyu
berbenah, membenahi saluran air di sekitar tem­
pat usahanya.
“Tapi banjir datang lagi. Usaha perbaikan
menjadi sia-sia,” kata Wahyu, kesal. Komunikasi
dengan pemerintah dan tokoh politik tak mampu
mengurangi banjir dan genangan. Ia kemudian
disarankan masuk sistem pemerintahan agar
suaranya didengar. Maka, bergabunglah ia dengan
Partai Hanura tahun 2014.
Ia kemudian pindah ke Partai Gerindra yang
ia nilai lebih sepaham dengan dirinya. “Saat itu
Gerindra dekat dengan ulama. Sebagian konstituen
saya saat saya di Partai Hanura menyarankan

Saat Pilkada Jakarta 2012, lulusan Universitas
Paramadina ini menjadi salah satu relawan bagi
pasangan Joko Widodo-Basuki Tjahaja Purnama
yang kala itu diusung PDI Perjuangan dan

bapak satu anak ini.
Menjadi salah satu dari 12 anggota baru
Fraksi Gerindra di DPRD DKI Jakarta, Zuhdi me­
miliki program menyangkut pendidikan dan kese­
jahteraan masyarakat. Ini didapatnya setelah
blu­sukan saat kampanye lalu. “Kesimpulan dari
blusukan itu, warga bisa dibilang sejahtera ka­lau
tak lagi dipusingkan biaya pendidikan, dan ke­
butuhan dasar sehari-hari,” tandasnya.
Zuhdi bersyukur bisa duduk di Komisi C. Di
Komisi C, ia bisa mengritisi pengeluaran APBD
(Anggaran Pendapatan Belanja Daerah) dari
seluruh SKPD (Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah)
dan BUMD (Badan Usaha Milik Daerah).
Lewat komisi tersebut ia berharap, Pemprov
DKI bisa melayani masyarakat lebih baik lagi.
“Ya sesuai tagline Gubernur DKI saat ini, ‘Maju
Kotanya, Bahagia Warganya’,” tandasnya.
