Why do golf courses close in the winter?



The main reason golf courses close in winter months is it helps protect the grass
from damage resulting from frost and snow. Golf course turf is normally resilient to

traffic, but when ice crystals form inside the plants, they become brittle and
vulnerable to damage. Walking or driving over frost-covered grass may rupture plant

cells, leading to dead turf. In non-scientific terms we want you to have the best
product possible next season!

Sun Mountain Golf C-130S Cart Bag w/GCDT Embroidered Logo

Adapted from Sun Mountain's best-selling C-130 cart bag, the C-130S is designed
primarily for cart use, with a stand system added for the range. Cart-friendly features
include a leg-lock system, a cart strap tunnel that allows full pocket access when the
bag is on a cart, and a cart-friendly bottom that fits nicely in riding cart bag wells.
Fourteen individual club dividers run the full length of the bag to protect clubs and

Welcome our new Food & Beverage Manager Scott West!

Scott graduated from the University of Vermont with a master's degree in finance and banking.
His undergraduate degree is in hotel and restaurant management. Scott attended Johnson &
Wales Culinary School where he graduated as an Executive Chef.

For the past ten years, he was the General Manager for all concessions
both at Mount Rushmore National Park and the Badlands National Park.

We are excited to have Scott as part of our team!

Community News

We are excited to share that we just received word that the new Red Bluff Medical Clinic
will be open on December 1st!
There will be an Open House on November 22, from 4-6 pm. It will be a chance to meet
the providers, chat with Physical Therapy, Healing Hands, Pharmacy staff and enjoy
some refreshments with them.
The Neiman family has been a big part of this clinic as well as many of our members. It is
truly a great asset for Hulett!
