International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR 2024) Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, India, and ESN Publications, India 178 ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING IN EDUCATION S. Veena1 and S. Santhi2 ABSTRACT Every person has the fundamental right to an education. It involves learning about the world around us. It makes everything in our lives more balanced and makes it easier for us to comprehend and handle any issue. Over the past 20 years, there have been numerous changes to education at all levels. The method that professors teach and how students learn has changed significantly as a result of the numerous technological breakthroughs. The development of machine learning and artificial intelligence has been one of the major turning points in the history of technology. Artificial intelligence (AI)'s machine learning (ML) field gives computers the capacity to develop their own knowledge from data and past experiences, finding patterns to generate predictions with little to no human input. Without explicit programming, computers can function independently thanks to machine learning techniques. Applications for machine learning are fed fresh data and have the ability to learn, grow, evolve, and adapt on their own. Large data sets can yield useful information through machine learning, which uses algorithms to find patterns and learn through iterations. ML algorithms do not rely on any fixed equation that may be used as a model; instead, they use computation techniques to learn directly from data. Every aspect of human existence has been impacted by these two improved technologies, including business, finance, communication, travel, health, and education. One type of personalised learning that could be applied in education is machine learning, which allows teachers to provide individualised instruction to each student.

International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR 2024) Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, India, and ESN Publications, India 197 WHY MENTAL WELL BEING SHOULD BE INCORPORATED INTO EDUCATION: AN INDIAN PERSPECTIVE S. Balamurugan ABSTRACT With mental health issues on the rise among the youth, educational institutions should create safe spaces to foster emotional wellbeing of students. The path of higher education is crucial in every student’s life, as it determines their future. Over the past two years, the pandemic-led lockdowns and the uncertainties associated with them have had a harmful effect on mental well-being. Young adults, especially, have been exhibiting particularly high rates of insecurity, unruly behaviour, drug abuse, distress, depression, anxiety, and suicidal tendencies. The shift to remote learning programmes and temporary closures led to a drastic decline in attention levels and poor learning outcomes. Limited or lack of access to digital learning, absence of appropriate counselling and support, and the inability to connect with peers prompted loneliness and anxiety, further worsening the situation. Hence, this paper deals with the perspectives of two aspects, firstly, what the institutes can do for fostering the mental health of the students? Secondly, what the teacher can do for promoting the mental wellbeing of youths through various programmes and initiatives. Subramanian ABSTRACT India, being a growing liberal country for educational reforms, currently has about 845 universities and approximately 40,000 higher education institutions (HIEs), reflecting the overall high fragmentation and many small sized HEIs in the country which are affiliated to these universities. To boost the growth of the Indian education sector, the present government decided to revamp it by introducing a comprehensive National Education Policy 2020. The objective of the currently announced NEP 2020 is to provide a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary liberal education to every aspirant to raise the current gross enrolment ratio (GER) to 50% by 2035. All higher education institutions with current nomenclature of affiliated colleges will expand as multi-disciplinary autonomous colleges with degree giving. The students and the faculty members also get autonomy to choose curriculum, methodology, pedagogy and evaluation models within the given policy framework. National Research Foundation will fund for innovative projects in priority research areas of basic sciences, applied sciences, and social sciences & humanities. Higher education system will transform itself as student centric with the freedom to choose core and allied subjects within a discipline and across disciplines. 1 Department of Pedagogical Sciences, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, India. *Corresponding Author: [email protected].

International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR 2024) Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, India, and ESN Publications, India 199 INFLUENCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY N.R. Florenthin Mary ABSTRACT The major purpose of this research is to provide a thorough review and analysis of thecurrently, within the realm of artificial intelligence (AI) development, the scientific community predominantly relies on brain cognition research (Nadji-Tehrani and Eslami, 2020). This approach seeks to replicate the actual physiological functions of the human brain through computer software. However, it is important to note that this emulation of the biological aspects of the human brain does not effectively capture the nuances of subjective psychological changes (Zador, 2019). Human memory exhibits a non-active forgetting process, where the more we endeavor to forget something, the more memorable it becomes. In contrast, machine forgetting involves an active deletion process, deviating from our psychological expectations. This incongruity highlights a challenge in mirroring the intricacies of human cognition within AI systems. In the pursuit of advancing artificial intelligence, psychology, and its derivative philosophy of mind, emerge as pivotal contributors, directly or indirectly. They can be regarded as fundamental supporting theories underpinning AI development. Recognizing the disparities between human cognition and machine replication underscores the significance of incorporating psychological insights into the ongoing progress of artificial intelligence. International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR 2024) Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, India, and ESN Publications, India 203 DIFFICULTIES IN LEARNING CHEMISTRY AS PERCEIVED BY THE HIGHER SECONDARY STUDENTS IN RELATION TO THEIR CLASSROOM CLIMATE D. Vetrivel ABSTRACT Education can be seen as both an objective and a component of development, besides “fundamental to the broader notion of expanded human capabilities that lie at the heart of the meaning of development” (Todaro and smith, 2011, p.359). This study argues that investment in education is essential for development and this form of investment is of critical importance in addressing the key challenges in educational outcomes in less developed countries (LDcs) and, indeed, in the achievement of developmental goals. One of the main limitations of our present education system is that it lacks practicality and relevance. It's time for the educationists to instil some life in the system by connecting the classroom lectures with the real-life experiences. For example, students must be taught the management of money and people, because nobody in practical life can escape the management of money and, particularly, in the current era which is full of new challenges. Further, the system lacks programs on personality development and inculcation of moral and ethical values. Children must be taught to go beyond religion, region and language. Our current endeavour must be to create 'One India' concept which would transcend all the parochial barriers. Only then, our children would grow up to be sensible, sensitive and responsible global citizens. International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR 2024) Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, India, and ESN Publications, India 205 NAVIGATING THE MODERN MARKETING LANDSCAPE: EMBRACING HYBRID MARKETING AS THE NEW NORMAL FOR COMPREHENSIVE OUTREACH STRATEGIES Atul Kumar1 and Amol Gawande2 ABSTRACT Hybrid marketing is a promotional strategy that includes both traditional and digital marketing. Rather than focusing primarily on online platforms or inperson touchpoints, hybrid marketing combines the two to create a more successful and comprehensive outreach strategy. It combines marketing strategies from both groups. This usually starts with defining the company's target audience and the brand's ultimate goal. With the help of hybrid marketing, companies can take advantage of all promotional channels by creating a middle ground and coming up with advertising strategies that cater to both channels. Brick and mortar stores are businesses that use traditional and digital marketing to run both online and offline businesses. There are a wide variety of marketing communication channels for hybrid marketing including print advertising, digital advertising, social media channels, event promotion, sponsorships, email marketing based on user subscriptions and much more. Depending on the medium you choose, you can tailor different messages to different audiences – for example, older vs. younger clients or women vs. male customers. For example, you can place a print ad in automotive, sports, and gaming publications to promote men's shaving creams. You would sell women's shaving cream in women's periodicals. Direct mail can be used to target older consumers, while social media can be used to attract younger buyers. This article proves the hypothesis that hybrid marketing is the new normal. International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR 2024) Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, India, and ESN Publications, India 210 EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA P. Jaganathan ABSTRACT The education system in India places a more significant stress on studying. It's not an educational system; it's an exam system. Why are our chapters not remembered, but the movies are? The Indian educational system needs extensive reform. India's educational system should focus more on learning than exams. Children must have the freedom to select subjects based on their interests. Youngsters must engage in group interactions and express their opinions on various issues rather than acquiring knowledge solely through lectures and complex books. Children should be encouraged to conduct independent research from library books and the Internet and present their findings to the class rather than take notes from the instructor and textbooks. They will gain confidence, positive reading habits, and openness to criticism as a result of this. Additionally, it will support their growth in analytical and critical reading abilities. When applied practically, children will retain what they have learned. Field trips to planetariums, museums, labs, archaeological sites, botanical gardens, etc. are required. They can pick up knowledge by talking to experts in various industries. Their communication abilities will also get better as a result. The basic education system in our nation is the main topic of discussion for this article's author.
