or "Young and Clueless"?
Thanks to a session led by our very
own Dr. Dockum and Ms. Matko,
we discussed the effects of our
unconscious biases. Although we
have much more to learn and
uncover, these are important to
consider as we approach the new
year! Stay tuned for more

Hello BMS Faculty & Staff,
I want to start this Valentines Day week by showing my admiration for the teachers, par-
ents, and support staff that help our Cubs to grow better every day. Cubs please take a
moment this week to join me in sharing your love for all of those that help you Level
UP!
We will be addressing a growing issue with technology this week. Since the gift giving
season we have students coming to school with smartwatches, earphones and cell-
phones. These are expensive and can be a distraction to the reason we get together
everyday. Remember that the county cellphone policy at the middle school level is sim-
ple; off and away ALL DAY. If they are out or on then faculty can confiscate it.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we will be distributing our own cards. Report cards will
be released in Advisory Block on Feb. 11th .
Have an awesome week!

Mr. Tubman and Mrs. Dill’s science class were part
of an awesome experiment! After learning about
DNA and genetics, students conducted a lab that re-
quire them to extract the DNA from a strawberry.
