Glee Club Singing at Phayathai Hospital 2 (Dec 13,2014)




"We wish you a Merry Christmas

and a Happy New Year."

On the thirteenth of December we went to Phayathai two hospital
to sing christmas songs for patients with A.Kim and A.James Lane
(Santa!). It wasn’t only an opportunity for glee club to express our
talents but also got to help patients of every age and gender enjoy
their christmas holidays and feel happy. Young children were dancing.
Adults were smiling. Everyone was happy. Our tiredness of practicing
suddenly disappeared after looking at their happy faces. We all
thought that our determination was not useless.

Witnessing the growth of this program for years, I must say there is
something authentically special about EPTS that could potentially yield a significant
profit to our communities. Eighteen years ago a seed was planted, and now I am
standing beside this tremendously strong tree, branching off endlessly and being a
pride for Patumwan Demonstration School. It is a great privilege for me and all the
teachers of EPTS to be a part of our students' success, particularly the seniors whose
admission into Thailand and America’s greatest universities speaks volumes to the
quality of their high school education. Another year has passed, but the prestige of
the EPTS continues to prosper. Even the best fortunetellers could not always correctly
predict the future, yet it is certain that my pledge to foster a healthy environment and
improve the quality of the EPTS will remain resolute. Happy New Year 2015

Thai people read an average of eight lines annually.
Have you ever heard of this statement? I bet you
have. How do you feel about this? As a Thai student, I feel that
it is important to read and make a difference to the statement
above. So, I started by meeting a group of book lovers in our
school; Mim(M.2/351), Manna(M.2/351), Proud (M.3/341),
Art (M.3/341), and Meji (M.3/341). Therefore, I would like to
share some useful tips about reading books to you all!
There are many unique inspirations to start
reading English books. Environment is an important factor.
If you grow up in a family of readers, it is more likely that
the reading habit will pass on to you. However, school and
friends also play an important role. If you engage yourself
with people who love to read, they will influence you to have
a passion in reading too! Even though you don't have those
things, it doesn't mean that you should give up on reading.
Remember, you are the one to make the decision. As long as
you have the motivation to develop yourself, it means that
you are already half way to your goal.
Finishing your first book might be hard to
accomplish, but once you finish it, you will be really proud
of yourself. Your first book doesn't need to be hard. However,
there are some beneficial tips you might want to follow. First,
if you have more than ten unknown words in the first page of
the book, it might be too hard for you. Also, it is a good idea to
have a friend that can recommend you a book that matches
you. If you read enough books, you will find your style and
you will finally enjoy reading.
Although, having reading as a hobby sounds boring,
it really gives us many unexpected things. You will find that
reading will change your views immensely. Not only it will
improve your English, but it will also allow you to join your
favorite character in your own imaginative world. Don't
worry what other people say about you. As long as you have
the passion to read, nothing can stop you!
Lastly, I hope that you will enjoy this article and
it will inspire you in some way that you find reading a very
