on the 21st anniversary of the Beachwood Kollel
When I first met you three years ago, you were quite clear
in your proposal to me. You said: "I don't want your money;
I just want your soul. Come. Try learning with us."
What I didn't realize back then was that:
1) One day, I would be more than glad to give you both (who knew?); and,
2) My Wednesday evenings with Rabbi Yehuda Altusky, which I had very
reluctantly agreed to commit to in the beginning, and for a very short
trial period at that, would quickly become the highlight of my week, each
week, every week; and,
3) My Wednesday evening "learn-and-schmooze" sessions with my
soon-to-be-cherished chavrusa would eventually change me in ways
that we would, quite unexpectedly, add a new focus to each week beyond
just Wednesday night (again, who knew!).
And for all of that, I'm very grateful to you, Rabbi Katz. May you continue
your secret mission to change one soul at a time in the Cleveland
community.
All the best in the Kollel's 21st anniversary!
