From the Principal’s desk



“I have always been appealed by the thought that- “Home is the first school and school is the
second home." More so now, as it has become very evident in the recent times of COVID-19. Our
homes have become schools and parents have become teachers too. We know that learning has

never been a process limiting the child to the school, rather it is a lifelong process. As the school has
an objective of all round development of a child, thus oriented to adaptation of various methods of
learning. This is characterized by shared vision, aspirations, goals and responsibility. This magazine

is a platform to foster self-learning in the direction of actualizing such visions and aspirations.

The students have put in exemplary efforts in the able guidance of our competent teachers and
generous parents. The creativity exhibited by innovative minds would not only inspire every reader

but bring a sense of containment too. I thank students for their effectuation. I assure you that we
would not leave any stone unturned to educate and support young brains. This is one such
endeavors and I take pride in the task undertaken by my team of able teachers, students and
parents. With the hope that this E-magazine will surely leave you refreshed and rejuvenated...

VIDYALAYA ANNUAL REPORT 2017-18


The annual report flaunts the achievements and glorious laurels of our institution and provides
an insight into the progress and development made by it, while at the same time, seeking to keep
a critical outlook on the ever changing, dynamic educational initiative.
Our school has carved a niche for itself among the galaxy of school in the town, always striving
for better and the best. Inspite of it, not basking in the glory of our achievements, we look ahead
for setting up higher standards and benchmarks of success.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Success is not final failure is not fatal it is the courage to continue that counts……….

Our Vidyalaya has set a milestone in academics in 2019-20. Kumari Akshita Jain regional topper

in Commerce stream , followed by Kumari Falak Khan, Kumari Khusboo Puri. Kumari Khushi
Singhal and Kumari Prachi Shivhare were among top 1.5% achievers of KVS in CBSE 2020 in XII
Commerce stream and will be awarded with cash prize of Rs. 10,000.

Mast.Saurabh Gupta (Science Stream) secured 96.6% followe by Kumar Pavitra Khare and
Pranav Sharma who jointly secured 94.8%and Anshit Vijaywargiya secured 94.2% and added
colours to vidyalaya’s academic performance. Saurabh Gupta also brought fame to the
Vidyalaya by standing among the 1.5% meritorious students of KVS who appeared in AISSCE -

2020 Science stream and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-

Ms. Sneha Rawat honoured the Vidyalaya by scoring 96%. in AISCE examination Std- X follwed
by Devansh Bhargava secured 92% followed by Harshit Pathak who secured 91%. Sneha Rawat
also stood among 1.5% meritorious students of KVS and will also be awarded a cash prize of
Rs.10,000/- . Megha Kholi (Batch 2017) has qualified NEET and is a budding medical student of
Jabalpur Medical College.


Mt. Sumit Raghuwvanshi school topper (Batch 2019) & Mast.Saurabh Tantuway have cracked
JEE, mains and advance and have joined NIT Bhopal in CS stream Mt. Pavirtra Khare securing 96
percentile in JEE mains has joined MITS Gwalior as a budding engineer in CS Branch.

Mt. Prachet Sharma (Batch 2018) has qualified CLAT-2019 and has brought laurels to the
Vidyalaya by joining National Law University Jodhpur.


It has been a year of academic achievement for outstanding performance of not only our
students but also for our esteemed galaxy of teachers and the captain of the ship i.e. our
honourable Principal sir who will be felicitated with Gold and Silver certificate by Kendiya
Vidyalaya Sangathan.

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievements nothing can be done without hope and

CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES

Co-Scholastic activities facilitate in the development of various domains of mind and personality
such as intellectual development, emotional development, social development, moral
development and aesthetic development. Our vidyalaya conducted many co-curricular activities,
aiming at these facets of personality development. Many online competitions like quiz
competitions, hindi and English Essay writing, English Poem Recitation, painting competition,
Hindi kavyapath, English Debate, English short story telling, poster making, Hindi Debate
competition, Hindi speech, Hindi letter writing, Quotation Writing, Rangoli making, best out of
Waste, Science Exhibition, slogan writing, drawing competition, collage making, poster making
etc were conducted in the session with great enthusiasm.
Online quizzes were conducted on and off on different occasions. Webinars on various days of
national importance were conducted to bring about awareness among students and parents.
Many such activities were organized in the primary sections too like solo song competition,
rangoli making, group dance, English calligraphy, diya making, rakhi making, group song, fancy
dress competition etc, to boost the creativity of the our tiny-tots.

CALENDER ACTIVITIES

The session 2019-20 in April in the new normal mode i.e. on the digital platform through
Watsapp, WebEx, Google Meet, Jio Meet etc. The classes for Second to Tenth and Twelfth began
in the month of April. The classes for XI started in the month of August and for I started in the
month of September owing to the pandemic. The teachers of XI and I induced the students
through the virtual mode and displayed exemplary efforts to continue the teaching learning
process.

‘Health is Wealth’ Yoga day was observed on 21 June 2019 after a fornight long camp of Yoga in
the Vidyalaya following the government SOP to curb COVID-19. The students were connected to
the activities through Google meeting.
In September the school observed Hindi Pakhwada where different activities were performed to
promote and inculcate love and respect towards our mother tongue.
In October 151st year of Gandhiji’s Birth Anniversary was celebrated along with Swachcha Bharat
Abhiyan, where online exhibition , Swachchta rally and Poster making competition, drawing
competition, speeches, essay competition were organised digitally.
In the same month we observed Vigilance Week with high spirits in which we had Quiz on anti-
corruption, Essay Competition, Webinar on Sensitisation of employees and parents, and online
grievance redressal platform was made on the school website for addressing the queries of the
parents.

On 15 November the Birthday of Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan was celebrated and a quiz for
Students and Teachers was conducted through Google forms to spread awareness among
students on importance of books.

Bhasha Sangam- A celebration of Linguistic Diversity of India was conducted under Ek Bharat
Shreshtha Bharat with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The month of November Education Day was celebrated wherein Slogan Writing and Essay Writing
competitions were organised. The Constitution Day was also celebrated digitally by uploading
selfies with the Preamble by teachers, parents and students. Active Citizenship pledge was taken
by the teachers who were lead by respected Principal Sir.
December was highlighted by ' Fit India School Week' wherein a series of weeklong activities
were organised as per the activity plan provided by KVS Regional Office, Bhopal.
The month of January saw the celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as
National Youth Day wherein online quiz, Awareness Speech was organised for students digitally.
The month of February was marked with colourful bonanza i.e. ‘Spic Macay’ programme where
the school was honoured by the benign presence of eminent classical dancer in Kathak Mrs. Sarita
Kalele, who enamoured the students with her graceful moves and also educated the students in
a three days long programme on the virtual platform to develop love for Indian classical dance
forms among students, with special focus on Kathak.

A yearlong celebration of 150 Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation
was also observed with fun fare.

CELEBRATIONS OF PRIMARY SECTION



1. Welcome ceremony-Welcome ceremony for the new comers of class 1 is done via ONLINE
MODE. Under this, introduction is done with individual video call, then with a video
conferencing with 5 students, then with 20 students and then with the whole class.

2. Independence Day- Independence day is celebrated with full enthusiasm and children
presented cultural programme like song, poem, skit etc. through online mode.

3. Rakhi- Rakhi making competition is done via ONLINE MODE. Rakhi celebration is done in

which students of primary section made colourful rakhi and post picture of their rakhi in their
respective online group.

4. Teacher’s Day- Teacher’s day is celebrated with making greeting card and message (through
pictures and video) to teacher with title- MY TEACHER MY HERO.


5. Janmashtami - In Janmashtami celebration, students decorated MATKA and basuri etc.
through ONLINE MODE.

6. Ganesh Chaturthi celebration- Idol of Ganesh ji with clay and dance competition was held via
ONLINE MODE.

7. Diwali Celebration-Children celebrated Diwali with full spirit. ONLINE DIYA MAKING
COMPETETION is done.

8. Children Day- Wishes were given by the class teacher of their respective class via ONLINE
MODE.


9. Republic day- On this day, Principal sir addressed the students via ONLINE MODE. Different
completion is held through online mode.

COMMON MINIMUM PROGRAMME
CMP is known as common minimum programme for class I to V under which following activities
organized:


Activity Based Teaching- Teaching learning process is done through various activity such as
discussion, role play, experimentation, poem recitation, storytelling, learning by doing, cutting
and pasting, demonstration, live classes on google meet etc.

CCA- Co-curricular activities are organized according to CCA calendar (ONLINE MODE)
throughout the session for all round development of child.



CCE and uniform assessment system – School based assessment is being followed through
different tools and techniques for the assessment of students throughout the session via ONLINE
MODE

ACHIEVEMENTS IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS

Kendriya Vidyalaya ITBP Shivpuri has been participating in various activities related with Science

at Vidyalaya level, Regional level and in some cases National level.

The Science related events conducted this year include National Children Science Congress
[NCSC] in which three students from our Vidyalaya participated. Aditi Tripathi and Vaibhavi
Sharma were guided by Mr. Irfan Ahmad Ansari and Vartika Kushwah by Ms. Abha Pant. The
students from our Vidyalaya who participated in the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired
Research [INSPIRE] are Riza Khan, Tanishk Jain, Naman Purohit, Vibhavi Sharma, Alakh Gautam.
A total of 55 students are registered for Green Olympiad from our Vidyalaya. Total 13 students

appeared in the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics and 50 students qualified in Aryabhatt
Ganit Challenge.

SPORTS

One can think of a healthy mind only in a healthy body. Both physical and mental well being are
the prerequisites of overall development of a child. Our students worked upon improving these
abilities by participating in various fitness activities through the online mode conducted under

the Fit India School Week. Under this programme weeklong activities including literary

competitions, Guest Lectures Brain Gym Activities, Virtual Assembly and competitions organized

from 9 to 16 December.
AWAKENED CITIZEN PROGRAMME

ACP is also conducted in the vidyalaya for inculcating morality among students. This is a
programme undertaken by KVS in collaboration with the Ramkrishna Mission which draws
inspiration from the lives and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and his guru Ramkrishna
Paramhans. At present we have six trained teachers in the Vidyalaya trained for year first to third.
The programme was conducted this year through online portal of ACP i.e. acp.illumine.in


ART AND CRAFT

Our students participated in a variety of art and craft activities. This diversion in studies for
children is outlet to be creative and a great lesson for them to demonstrate self control land

patience. Kala Utsav 2020 was organized by KVS and four students participated in it namely Siddhi
Gupta std- XI (Toy Making), Shruti Shukla std- XI (painting), Grav Yadav std - IX (painting), Vishnu
Rathaur std- IX (Sculpture), Shubham Maurya std- IX (Toy Making), Jayshikha Panth std- X A (Toy
Making). Six students participated under Music namely Lakhan Shakya std – X A (Folk song),
Somya Choubey std- XI A (Instrumental folk), Mahi Asthana std – XI A (folk song female), Riya
Patil std – XII A (Vocal Classical), Mahak Dande std- XI A (Folk Dance), Shrishti Bhargava std- XII B
(Dance Classical). Lakhan Shakya std – X A (Folk song), Somya Choubey std- XI A (Instrumental
folk) qualified to National and Mahak Dande std- XI A (Folk Dance) secured third position at
Regional Level.


LIBRARY

Our library has a total of 6,699 books, out of which 3592 books are in Hindi and 3107 books are
in English. Our librarian conducts various competition and activities to motivate maximum
utilization of library resources. Book review is a regular activity which informs the students about
the new arrivals of the library.


BHARAT SCOUT AND GUIDE

Scout and Guide Activities were conducted at school level are as follows:
8 Scouts and 8 Guides participated in Dwitiya Sopan conducted at school level and successfully
completed it. 8 Scouts and 8 Guides participated in Tritiya Sopan conducted at the Cluster level
and completed it successfully.
Achievement under Cub / Bulbul section of Scout and Guide are as follows:

Chaturth charan / Heerkh pankh testing camp was conducted from 16 October to 19 October
2021. 8 cubs and 8 bulbuls from our vidhyalaya participated in this testing camp. Out of which 7

cubs and 8 bulbul have qualified whose names are as follows:

Five Fingers make a fist



Between two Hills, there was a beautiful pond. There lived in a pond,

Some fishes and a frog. The frog and the fish were good friends.
One day two fishermen passed by the pond.

They saw that the pond was full of fishes. They were glad.

One fisherman said - "Brother, let's bring the net and catch these fishes"

The Frog heard them.

He was scared.

The frog went to the fishes.
He said, "Friends, we are in danger."

Let's find a way to save ourselves."

The Fishes laughed at the frog.

“You are coward and a fool",
They said.

They went along enjoying life.

The next day, the fishermen came back.

They put their net into the pond.

The fishes were not prepared.

They were all caught.
The frog saw this and jumped into the pond.

He saw the fishes struggling.

Fish said, "He said Swim down. Swim down together!"

All the fishes swam down together.

The net was also pulled down with them.
Losing their net, the fisherman went away.

The fishes were free again.
