Academic and research
The Master Program in Forensic Science has been established in 2015 with the mission to
produce forensic scientists who are equipped with professional skills and ethics to support the use
of forensic science in juridical procedures. The program is taught by various qualified instructors, and
experienced professionals in the field. For example, Law is taught by experts from Faculty of Law,
Thammasat University, and criminalistics is led by experienced experts from professional institutes.
In addition, our students have valuable chances to visit relevant organizations at national and
international levels, allowing the students to experience a real work environment.
To enhance students’ learning experiences, the program has provided specialized laboratories
in Forensic Science and a mock-up house for crime scene investigation. Moreover, the university has
signed memorandum of understandings (MOU) with Office of Police Forensic Science and the Royal
Police Cadet Academy (RPCA) for exchanging knowledge and modern technologies. This would be
beneficial to students and academic personnel for possible collaboration and creating the network.
Students who finished Bachelor’s degree in any fields including Sciences, Law, Social Sciences,
and Humanities are eligible to apply to the program. Over four years of the establishment, the program
has been constantly getting good attention, and around 20 students have been enrolled to the program
every year. The students have an opportunity to receive a financial support from the university for
their thesis and independent studies.
