Message from Former Rector On the occasion of the 22nd Anniversary of the Faculty
of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University on the 22nd of
February 2018, in my capacity as a Representative of the University
Executive Board, I hereby would like congratulate to executives,
lecturers, staff members, students, and alumni of the Faculty of
Allied Health Sciences.
Many successes of the Faculty concerning academic
performance, research, and social services have been achieved
by the joint persistent efforts and sacrifices of all involved parties.
As a result, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences has benefited
from continuing growth in national and international recognition.
Over the past 22 years, I have easily perceived the
continuous development in many different areas of the
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, particularly in the areas of
student-centered learning and instructional management,
researches, and social services. In addition, Faculty also supports
the promotion of the English language in all curricula to improve
the language skills of students, instillation of self-learning and
knowledge integration capacities. Furthermore, the Faculty
has promoted the inter-institutional exchange of learning/
teaching and research abilities by establishing the academic
partnerships with local and international educational institutions.
The vigorous performance of the Faculty of Allied Health
Sciences indicates its active participation in the development
of Thammasat University as a leading educational institution
recognized locally and internationally. This shall include the great
quality of graduates in Bachelor’s, Master’s and/or Doctoral’s

degrees in Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, Sports and Exercise Sciences, Sports Coaching, Sports Management, Forensic
Science, and Radiological Technology. Moreover, the Faculty has established a Health Care Service Center (HCSc) comprising
Medical Technology Research and Service Unit, Physical Therapy and Hydrotherapy Unit, Sports Science and Sports Rehabilitation
Unit, which can provide integrated, modern health services at the international standards.
On this occasion, l would like to wish all lecturers, staff, students and alumni to be with great strength in all areas, and
to succeed in all missions and sustained determination to improve continuously the best quality of the Faculty of Allied Health
Sciences in Thailand.

Message from Acting Rector On behalf of Thammasat University, I would like to extend
our warm congratulations to the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences
on the 22nd anniversary occasion. I wish you continuing success
in all of your efforts to provide high quality education, research,
and social services to students and the people in Thailand, as
demonstrated in the aspiration of the university “Thammasat
University for the People”
In the past years, the faculty has gained both national
and international recognition. Research articles published by
faculty members attained considerable citations as ranked by
the university database. In terms of innovation, several pieces of
innovation from lecturers and students won distinguished prizes
from both domestic and international competitions. In addition,
student athletes from the faculty also participated and made great
achievements in various sports events. All of these demonstrates
the outstanding quality of the faculty as an efficient organization.
On this occasion, l wish all the faculty members,
students, staff, and alumni, good health and success in all
activities. With the remarkable potentials of the faculty, I am
confident in the faculty’s determination to continuously further
upgrade its quality and to excel as one of the best Faculty of
Allied Health Sciences in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Message from Dean The faculty of allied health sciences, Thammasat
university was established in 1996, and it recently celebrated
22nd foundation anniversary on 22nd February 2018. Currently,
the faculty conduct both undergraduate and post-graduate
program. The undergraduate program consists of five departments;
medical technology, physical therapy, sports science and sport
development, forensic science, and radiological technology.
The post- graduate programs include three master programs
(medical technology, forensic science and physical therapy) and
international program in M.Sc. (biomedical sciences) Ph.D.
(biomedical sciences) programs in biomedical sciences. In
academic context, the faculty of allied health sciences provides
students, lecturers, and researchers with a rich set of sciences
and social science one having the atmosphere of opportunities
to learning, teaching, and conducting research.
With regard to public services, the faculty has a health
care service center that provides laboratory tests, physical
therapy, and services in sport sciences. All units are equipped with
modern instruments at international standards and can generate
sustainable income for the faculty. Moreover, these instruments
are also used in courses with the ultimate aim to provide students
an opportunity to gain clinical skills. Since 2015, the faculty has
established “Thammasat Golf Leadership program” for senior
executives who would like develop their golf skills. This program
also a great chance for social meeting gathering people who are
interested in helping the development of the faculty.

International collaborations have been promoted by the faculty through memorandums of understanding signed with
local and international educational institutions and organizations. This has been regarded as a significant success in establishing
academic and research networks e.g. annual meeting for presenting research with Catholic University, South Korea under K21
project. This is a major step for the faculty to raise its academic and research potentials to an international level.
All the successes of the faculty would not have been achieved without hard working and cooperation from all staff. I
would like to thank all staff for their cooperation.

PHILOSOPHY The Faculty of Allied Health Science has the vital roles for providing
VISION qualified students, knowledge, health service, and forensic services to the
MISSION community and the nation using integreated health science, sport science as
well as forensic sciences. the students are expected to possess and develop
knowledge, skills, and critical thinking combined with a moral discipline and a
positive attitude towards the profession.
The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University is one
of the leading nation and international institutions of academic and research
excellence with moral commitment for the goodness of society.
1. Prepare professional graduate with academic excellence and moral discipline and ethical standard.
2. Develop the research and knowledge necessary and useful for the country’s development with an em-
phasis on practical and integrated studies of allied health sciences.
3. Provide professional and educational services, and disseminake knowledge to the society for sustainable
development on health care and health promotion, and forensic sciences to support criminal justice system.
4. Improve management efficiency based on the principles of good governance as well as happiness at
workplace combining with raising Thai culture.

Vision
The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University is one of the leading national and inter-
national institutions of academic and research excellence with moral commitment for the goodness of society.
To comply with the main five strategies of Allied Health Sciences (AHS), Thammasat University during 2017-2021
Strategy 1: Creating graduates with GREATS quality
Strategy 2: Developing research and innovation that can lead to the betterment of Thai society and the
global community
Strategy 3: Developing collaborative networks domestically and internationally
Strategy 4: Focusing on the quality of healthcare’s services and academic services to international standard
Strategy 5: Aiming for the life-long stabilization and the sustainability through the modern management
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) developed and accomplished a policy with a strategic plan and a course
of actions for excellence in teaching and learning, research and services with social responsibility.
To achieve these purposes, AHS faculty values the quality of management and members. The management
system includes accountability (an assignment of responsibility) and a schedule for activities to be completed, as well
as auditing tools to implement corrective actions and creating an upward spiral of continuous improvement; or “Plan,
Do, Check, Act”
AHS staff members including dean, associate dean, assistant dean, director, head of department, head of office,
committee, academic and non-academic staff, have their responsibility for suitable levels of duty.
In addition, AHS faculty also gives precedence to well-being and relationship of staff with knowledge and skills
enhancement, improving and renovating physical environment and academic research facilities, recreation activity and
relaxation area. The success of AHS faculty during 2017 resulted from a constant outpouring of intellectual, physical
and mental devotion of all staff under the direction and support of dean.

Academic Quality Assurance
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University perform quality assurance system in order to control,
audit and assess the educational quality in line with the National Education Act 1999 (2nd amendment in 2002) and
Thammasat University’s vision and mission. For internal quality assurance system, AHSTU’s QA committee is responsible
for development, administration and follow-up on the operations.
For Academic Year 2016, the Internal Quality Assessment system performance in 2 levels which are curriculum
level and institutional level. To achieve the continuous quality improvement process, AHSTU conducted an Organization
Profile and Key Performance Indicators base on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) and Thammasat
University Quality Assurance (TUQA) criteria for institutional level and conducted Self-Assessment Report base on key
performance indicators set by the office of Commission on Higher Education (OHEC) Thailand for are curriculum level.
The assessment of curriculum level was held on
1- 21 September, 2017. The evaluation result in overall for
all 8 of AHSTU programs of study have been assessed in the
level of “Good”.
