I graduated in Architecture in February 2022 from the Polytechnic of Bari. A great passion for architectural design and a constant desire to expand my knowledge led me to want to implement my architectural visualization skills to improve the communication of my projects and, above all, my ideas. Thus, in April 2024, I obtained a post-graduate Master's degree in Digital Architecture at the IUAV (University of Venice). My background took me to Paris and allowed me to join the LAN Architecture team, where I was able to improve my technical and organizational skills by working on international competitions with multicultural teams. I am a motivated and empathetic person, I learn fast and I have a strong and sincere passion for this job and for the world of architecture. I want to learn interesting things and keep improving. This is what fuels my curiosity and ambition and what inspires me and pushes me every day to give my best.

In addition to bringing together in the same place the archives, the exhibition spaces, the laboratories and the educational spaces, the project offers an unprecedented experience from a sensory and climatic point of view. Between nature and artefact, the roof garden completes the process of demineralization of the museum's public spaces and offers a new panorama of the capital. The project is based on an in-depth analysis of the urban space in which it is located: a site dedicated to architectural modernity, close to the Tiber, in the vast plain that stretches out beneath the slopes of Monte Mario in Rome. Despite its centrality, it is an area in full development, in which the project becomes an opportunity to assert the identity of the MAXXI complex. I followed the development part of the project in its main phase (building permit, definitive project), defining the spa- ces of the project and paying close attention to the requests received, all this while working with a multidisciplinary team. I learnt to work in high-pressure situations by completing assigned tasks during the day. 1

Portfolio | Francesco Parchitelli MAXXI- Museo delle Arti del XXI secolo MAXXI HUB The operation foresees the creation and intersection of two systems: the implementation of a new multifunctional building dedicated to research and culture and the creation of a linear urban park, a green landscape system that will serve as a "container" for the new building and the other pre-existing architecture. The urban context and its architectural typologies reveal patterns that can be reduced to orthogonal forms and simple volumes at different scales: they provide precise and incisive alignments, revealing to formulate the layout of the new building. It is a silent architecture, which "sculpts" its own space alongside others, reinterpreting their existing formal patterns and values in a contemporary way. 4

20 Portfolio | Francesco Parchitelli REMPART DES MOINES Brussels 340 Housing units, Sporting complex 2 The city of Brussels is a space constituted by the addition of urban forms resulting from different policies and different modes of design. Brussels, by its history and its evolution, is a stratified city, a true palimpsest, where the urban forms are the testimony of the economic, social and urbanistic history of the metropolis. However, unlike the image conveyed by the constitution of a city with a fragmented fabric, there exists an urban logic peculiar to this territory which was at the origin of reflection for the creation of the site of the Remparts des Moines. TEAM WINNER PROJECT (2019) DEFINITIVE PROJECT (2023) LOCATION AREA SCHEDULE Brussels 53 770 m2 2029-2025 LAN Architecture, MDW Architects 1 TASK I followed the development of Rempart des Moines residential projects through the DBA phase. I had the opportunity to follow the design related to the residential building theme, in particular the design of two residential buildings and their common areas. This gave me an in-depth understanding of all the tricky issues involved in working on these particular types of projects. In addition to the residential part, I was able to participate in the design of the sports centre.

Portfolio | Francesco Parchitelli The “brusselian” island is resolutely urban and places the will to define the street in the center of its constitution. In opposition to modernist bar architecture, this island qualifies the public space by proposing continuous alignment along its ends. Whatever its scale, we note the constitution of a built crown clearly defining the boundaries between public space and private space. The Brussels islet allows the development of a heart, which, in its form or programming, is part of a much freer logic. The work is therefore oriented towards the search for a hybrid form, capable of synthesising the urban qualities of this island while injecting high density. Thus, while preserving the established boundary thanks to the residential crown, the block core is extracted from the form to come to be placed in the heart of a central public space inscribed in the (urban) logic established by the existing urban routes. With the heart of city liberated, the views from the dwellings are unobstructed on shared gardens and preserve a template on street in harmony with the heights dictated by the context. This is the new island, a kind of brusselian urban form Brussels version 2.0. The aim here is to take the best of each of the typologies requested in the program. The objective of the site reconfiguration project is to allow the building to be fully integrated, both with respect to the neighbourhood as it is today, and with respect to the future transformations it is destined to undergo. The objective is to create a synthesis between a decidedly domestic fabric, which is the direct context of this project, and the programmatic will to increase density on this lot. The success of the proposal lies in its ability to create a harmonious link between these two worlds, while maintaining its own identity and legible structure. The analysis of the composition of the urban fabric of Brussels revealed the typology of the traditional block, consisting of a built ring of mixed-use buildings. 22

36 Portfolio | Francesco Parchitelli PIRMIL LES ISLES Nantes B5 Area, Bureaux 3 The Pirmil-les-Isles district in Nantes is at the centre of a synergetic process of urban transformation extending from the Ile de Nantes to the Basse Ile of Rezé. The project involves the creation of an office building that relates to its context with the aim of revitalising urban spaces currently in a state of neglect. The ambition is to reconcile the scale of the metropolis with neighbourhood life with a more domestic approach to work spaces. This is reflected not only in the way they are used, but also in the architecture. This approach is complemented by a profound transformation of the neighbourhood's public spaces and landscape. The project offers a number of advantages in terms of location, form and environmental and economic impact. TEAM SELECTED PROJECT_I Phase (Feb 2024) WINNER PROJECT_II Phase (Apr 2024) LOCATION AREA SCHEDULE Pirmil, Nantes 5 045 m2 2024/ - LAN Architecture 1 TASK I followed the development of Pirmil Les Isles Bureaux's project from the initial concept to the application for the second and final stage of the competition in Nantes. I worked in a small team to realise the required work and I was able to increase my skills and experience in managing the phases of the competition. With great satisfaction, the project received the first prize.

Portfolio | Francesco Parchitelli The urban design is based on a twofold strategy: on the one hand, it relies on an ‘address effect’ that makes the site attractive by virtue of its location in the city; on the other, it establishes a very clear identity and offer that translates into a specific urban form, capable of rebuilding links between neighbourhoods and bringing the atmosphere of the suburbs back into the new building areas. The arrival of new residents, new jobs, shops and other functions will encourage the establishment of micro-intensive areas, all in harmony with the surrounding fabric. 38
