The characTer iS very faScinaTing
for me aS an acTor
ollywood star Shahid Kapoor, who will play the title role in the Hindi
remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, says he was both curious
Band excited about the movie.
“I wanted to try this part and see what I can do with this. I was curious enough
to take it on and excited enough to not let it go.”
The Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor said he thoroughly enjoyed Arjun Reddy as
a viewer.
“I usually don’t watch too many films in Telugu and it surprised me with its
tonality, rawness, simplicity and the fact that it was so real and believable.
The character is very fascinating for me as an actor because the emotional
arc… is very original. I loved it and Vijay Deverakonda, who played Arjun, did
it so well,” Shahid said.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the remake will go on floors next month.
The original film, starring Vijay and Shalini Pandey in the lead, revolves
around a medical student who falls in love with his junior and how their
relationship evolves.
Shahid, who is the son of veteran actors Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azeem,
has done many romantic films in his career. He made his acting debut in 2003
with Ishq Vishk, after which he featured in movies like Vivah, Jab We Met,
Kaminey, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, R… Rajkumar”, Haider, Udta Punjab
and Padmaavat.
There are always a lot of hopes riding on actors today.
Asked if this adds to the pressure, Shahid said: “My own hopes are riding on me. I have
been doing this for 15 years. Now I am a professional at it and understand what comes
with it. There is a drive from within to always do your best.
“Once you really give a lot of time to what you do, and if you are passionate about it and
have that need to improve upon yourself all the time — which is very intrinsic to anybody
who is successful… That need and desire must be there to improve, rediscover and keep
doing new stuff… Then it comes naturally.”
Ultimately, to him, it does not feel like pressure.
“You want to do your best, and I always feel like that,” said Shahid, who agrees that
attaining stardom comes with a price tag attached to it.
“I live by the beach and I can’t really go there as often as I would want to… My family and

“It does require a lot of effort. Sometimes, you don’t have time for yourself… but here
you have to choose the time between your work and family. That is something I do it very
consciously,” Shahid said during a chat on the sidelines of a fashion event here.

CR retained Mathur Law Offices after being detained by ICE. CR was

CRIMINAL LAW case to proceed to trial. Mr. Zumberg than applied for bond of behalf of
CR, which the Immigration Judge again denied. Mr. Zumberg appealed
again to the BIA, which unfortunately also denied the bond application.
Due to his continued detention, CR was scheduled for an expedited
CIVIL LAW trial. Mrs. Lopez worked with his family and friends to gather as
much evidence as possible to rehabilitate CR's character - evidence
which the Immigration Judge later acknowledged influenced his
decision. Mr. Zumberg represented CR at trial and strongly argued
FAMILY LAW for relief. CR won his case and received his resident status! Result by
Mr. Mathur, Mr. Zumberg, and Mrs. Lopez.

ormer Miss India and Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta who had been away
from the country for quite some time returned to India in July this year. While
Ffans were waiting for her comeback on the silver screen, the Aashiq Banaya
Aapne actor opened up about being harassed ten years ago. In a recent interview
with Zoom TV, the 34-year-old actor said she was harassed by actor Nana Patekar
on the sets of 2009 film Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss.
In the interview, Tanushree claimed that industry insiders knew about the incident
but didn’t say anything about it. Also, she alleged that the veteran actor has been
quite disrespectful towards women on the sets of films. “Everyone knows about
Nana Patekar that he has always been disrespectful towards women. People in the
industry know that he has beaten actresses, he has molested them. His behaviour
with women has always been crude but no publication has printed anything about
it,” she said.
She added, “Everyone has gossiped about this but have never spoken. People
with this kind of character speak like this against the kind of character that I have
because they say she does glamourous roles so must be glamorous and all.
Behind the back, they are so dirty. When you are in the industry you hear so many
stories about these actors. But these things never take surface because they are
PR packaged very well. They will give some money to some poor farmers. How
much they do and how much they don’t, no one knows. But all this is just for show.”
According to a 2008 Times of India report, Tanushree filed a complaint with Cine
and Television Artistes Association (CINTAA) for damage to her property and
reputation. After she brought up the matter of Nana Patekar’s misbehaviour, she
was replaced by Rakhi Sawant in the movie. She then said about Patekar, “The
less said about him, the better. If a co-star behaves in the manner he did with me,
others will definitely take us for granted.”
