Dear Rotaract Diary,
Time flies quickly and here we have completed the first quarter of
this epic journey with a number of impactful community service
projects. The beginning of this Rotaract year was undoubtedly in a
challenging period as we were shifting back to normality from the
new normal routine which we were experiencing for almost two years. Nevertheless,
we got the chance to get new experiences through Rotaract while collecting a
whole bunch of unforgettable memories, strengthening the bonds and becoming
the pioneers of volunteerism. We are indeed grateful for all the moments that we
were part of and are excited to witness what RACUOK is about to bring within next
months too!

Dear Rotaract Diary,
The first quarter of this remarkable voyage was rounded out with a
satisfying standing. Although it was a bit challenging to start work
as a Co-Director of Community Service Avenue during that shifting
period from virtual to physical, we were able to initiate several sustainable projects
for the sake of the community and keep the progress always at a high level. It was
because of the purest hearts that exist in the RACUOK family. Giving up wasn't our
choice, everyone gave their best to make it happen. As an individual, I'm super
grateful for the experiences and memories I've had with this bunch of outstanding
people. I strongly believe that a significant level of change in the community can be
made in the forthcoming quarters too.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
From the day I joined RACUOK, I loved being there. I started
working as the Co-Director of CS Avenue with so much hope, so
much energy and enthusiasm. If I were to describe my experience
in the first quarter in one word, I’d say pretty awesome. There were
happy moments, proud moments and obviously tough moments too. But they
all resulted in learning new things and making myself stronger and more
confident. As for this quarter too, we expect to initiate some fruitful projects
within the rest of this Rotaract year.
Once a Rotaractor is always a Rotaractor!

Dear Rotaract Diary,
The experience I’ve gained as a Co-Director of the Professional
Development Avenue isn’t something that can be summed up in a
few paragraphs. But I’ll try my best to summarize the most valuable
lessons I’ve learned and memories I’ve made. Working with an
amazing, hardworking and dedicated team for the past three months with a
sequence of projects of different fields was one that I’ve gained a lot of knowledge.
Project Spectrum gave me a perfect insight into the latest crypto trends and the
documentary event really pulled in the team work. I learnt a lot from my fellow
members and from organizing everything to the minute details. Through handling
Project Build-U, I’ve been able to connect with Rotaractors from other clubs,
engaging with resource persons and learning. This is just three months’ worth of
lessons. The experience I’ve gained is simply immeasurable and I hope others will
also take on this wonderful opportunity where you can socialize, connect and
develop yourself and serve the community!

Dear Rotaract Diary,
I've heard someone say, “Practice makes you Perfect”. Yet, let me
reword this. For me what I understood from my Rotaract Journey
is that “Enthusiasm and the extreme want you have, to do
something big or out of the box makes you Perfect.” And Rotaract
is that place which gave me the chance to explore my potentials - potentials I knew
that I had but was afraid to put out to the world! My experience as the Co- Director
of the International Service Avenue is the best. We've been blessed to have to work
with a lot of talented souls in the International Service Avenue starting from
designing, content writing, compering and covering almost every area we intend to
cover through projects; we have the best team I must say! And that makes this
journey much more superfluously convenient. One of our former International
Service Directors once said to me, “The core of the avenue, is its members, the more
you know their potentials, the more IS will shine,” and I think so far we've been able
to unfurl some extra-ordinary potentials which are surely without any doubt, the
reason why the International Service Avenue shines so brightly this year. I am happy
to say that we’ve been able to finish almost four projects as for now, every project
significantly adored by its audience for the interesting PR and of course the
fruitfulness and to the point of organization of those projects. We will aspire to
inspire the international community through our upcoming projects as well. We
assure that you will adore our upcoming projects, so stay tuned for more
international updates coming all the way from the International Service Avenue of
RACUOK.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
I joined Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya in the first year of my
university life and this is my second year of it. I am now a member
of the Board of Directors of RACUOK which is an amazing family to
cherish the power of volunteering together. Since the day one, this
platform has provided me so many opportunities to make myself
higher and popular throughout the club as well as within the university. I got so
many skills polished through Rotaract such as singing, moderating and especially
the leadership skills. And the very important thing is, I got some beautiful, amazing
souls and role models to my life with whom I could walk my whole journey of life.
With their guidance I could become a good, well-known and proud member of the
Board of Directors. Today, I am an individual who has so many nice people around
me who are closer more than friends, from not only my university, my country but
also from all over the world and that’s all because of Rotaract. I am truly very
thankful to this gorgeous family, which makes myself more worthy than I always
thought. Viva la Rotaract!

Dear Rotaract Diary,
The year started with responsibilities as one of the directors of the
Member Relations Avenue. As our very first task we carried out the
entire member recruitment process and finally we could make
RACUOK one of the highest member-base clubs in the university.
Even though the first three months were hectic, I learnt quite a lot of new things.
After that, the fun began with RotaRomp'22. RotaRomp'22 was so much fun and I
enjoyed every moment of it. We were able to complete RotaRomp'22 successfully.
Not only that, but I truly enjoyed being a part of the projects Rotrallia, Spectrum and
Spotlight. They were sensational! Now when I take a look at those times, a bunch of
splendid memories come flooding back. I’m truly grateful for Rotaract for making
my life pleasantly special.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
If one word could explain this entire journey, it's fun. When talking
about my journey, there's one thing that I can never forget. It's
RotaRomp'22. It was quite eventful and so much joyful. Working
with my beloved OC members was the best thing that happened so
far. Sharing all the fun and excitement with them and finally completing RotaRomp'22
with huge success was indeed momentous. Those memorable moments explain
everything. Furthermore, many remarkable projects happened during the first quarter.
Every project was a unique experience that added colour to this journey. Everything
that has happened so far simply made my life wonderful.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
The greatest experience as a Co-Director of Public Relations Avenue
of RACUOK was, I have had the opportunity to lead the PR team.
One of my main responsibilities has been to create and maintain a
strong online presence for the club through social media platforms.
I have also worked on developing and maintaining engagements, and analysing our
social media accounts. In addition to promoting our club, I have also played a role in
planning social media trends. All of these are done and doing with my Co-Director, Rtr.
Lakni Perera and she’s been the most supportive partner for me so far. Being a part of
the RACUOK has allowed me to develop my leadership skills, make a positive impact in
my community, and build long-lasting friendships with like-minded individuals. It has
been a truly rewarding experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work as the

Dear Rotaract Diary,
It is a beautiful journey so far with the Public Relations Avenue as
the Co-Director.From coordinating with the fellow members to
creating content for the social media platforms to being an example
and a good leader for my fellow avenue members and to our entire
PR process taught me a lot of things. Rotaract also pushed me out of my comfort zone
to explore new things which I am really proud of myself now. I am really grateful for the
learning and experience I made so far and looking forward to having a fantastic and
fruitful term ahead.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
I joined Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya in July 2021 and still
continue my Rotaract journey as the Director of Sports and
Entertainment Avenue. I started my Rotaract journey with the
intention of enhancing my leadership skills and to serve the
community. I got the opportunity to work as a Project Co-Chair for
the project Middle Stump and Down the Wicket 2022. Those projects helped me
improve my skills as well as to find new friends. I gladly mention that those projects
were the benchmarks of my Rotaract journey. As the Co-Director of the avenue, I
started off my duties with the projects 'Spotlight' and 'Rotrallia' which were highly
appreciated by all the people who participated in the events. I'm grateful for receiving
many compliments, especially from one of the number one music bands in Sri Lanka,
"WAYO" for organizing such an event. All these were possible because of Rotaract and
the team I’m surrounded with. We look forward to keeping up the enthusiasm of our
club with the upcoming projects as well.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
As a Co-Director of IT Avenue, I have gained a wealth of experiences
in a number of areas. Firstly, I have developed my leadership skills,
as I have been responsible for organizing and leading team
meetings, coordinating events, and overseeing the activities of the
club. This has required me to be a strong communicator, be able to
effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities to my team, as well as being able to
effectively manage my time and resources. In addition, my involvement in RACUOK has
given me the opportunity to develop my networking skills, as I have had the chance to
work with a diverse group of people from different backgrounds and professions. Rotaract
further shaped me to be proactive in building relationships with others, and has helped
me to develop my interpersonal skills. Overall, my experience as a Co-Director of the club
has been incredibly rewarding, and has given me the opportunity to develop a range of
skills that will be valuable in my personal and professional life. I am grateful for the
opportunity to have been involved in such a dynamic and impactful organization, and I
am confident that the experience I have gained will serve me well in the future.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
Throughout these months as a Co-Director of IT Avenue, I have
gained vast knowledge out of valuable experiences and have been a
ble to improve my skills. Leadership and communication skills are
the most special skills I have improved through taking on more
responsibilities, leading teams, overlooking project meetings, and coordinating events.
And being involved with various projects and activities as a Co-Director, I realized two
more things. Firstly, I could achieve my primary motive in a short span. Secondly, I was
able to explore and develop many intangible skills such as time management,
problem-solving skills, and decisiveness. So far, Rotaract has moulded me to learn how
to engage with diverse groups of people. Learning how different people respond and
react to certain situations helped me develop my skills in presenting and implementing
ideas. Rotaract also taught me to become more confident than ever being a leader.
Thanks to Rotaract, I’m bolder and more courageous than before. Lastly, I am blessed
and grateful for all those that RACUOK gave me.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
I joined Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya in May, 2021 and am
still harvesting the great impact of it as the Co-Director of the Digital
Media Avenue. From the beginning of my Rotaract journey, I started
up as an enthusiastic who would always seek the opportunities to
sharpen my capacity as a young leader. I had been serving as an
organizing committee member of several different Rotaract projects and events. To
name but a few, Rota Sonduru Saajje, HearMe, 12th Installation Ceremony, ATHENA,
Kris Kringle Christmas Party, Down the Wicket 2022, Project Little Hands and Rota
Tomorrow. Apart from those I’ve had marvellous experiences being a research team
member for the project Katuwa which drew lots of love and recognition. And also, I’ve
started my leadership experience as a team leader of Digital Media Avenue for the
term 2020-21. All in a wrap I would proudly recommend the Rotaract Club of University
of Kelaniya to anyone who thrives to become a mindful, empowering young leader
with generous motives.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
Looking back on my time with Rotaract as the Co-Director of
Finance Avenue, I can say that it was definitely happy, fun, and
always full of memories. If I go back to my time in school, I was
quite active in extracurricular activities, but volunteering was not
one of them. But by chance, I was able to join RACUOK in my first year. After that, I
came all the way to this point while carrying a lifetime's worth of memories. As the
first team leader of Finance Avenue, I had a big dream of organizing a musical
concert, which was one of my favourite things in school. Due to the COVID 19
epidemic, I was unable to take the steps during the first year. However, I was given
the chance to take part in “Investor 2021”, the first project organized by the Finance
Avenue. Actually, it was the project that I learnt more about the club and had the
opportunity to meet a lot of new people. I believe that having plenty of wonderful
friends is one of the best things a Rotaractor can have. During my Rotaract journey, I
have contributed to a lot of projects in different ways. One of my best projects, which
I dreamed of for two years, planned for one and half years, dedicated for four
months, and accomplished in just a single day, is “Rotrallia”-WAYO live in concert. It
was also one of the club's largest projects that the club has ever had in its history. As
my closing remarks, I'd like to say that Rotaract is not just volunteering; it also serves
as a teacher, motivator, mentor, and list goes on. Believe me! All you did for Rotaract,
those are investments that you made on yourself, and they will pay off to you during
your entire life.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
The RI year 2022-23 began not only bringing responsibilities but also
presenting me with so much learning. The first three months as the
Senior Editor was indeed a roller-coaster ride and I felt it to be the
quarter which sparkled as a learning phase for me. There were so
much that I thought I'll never learn and times I felt not good enough. But Rotaract is
such a marvellous platform which aids one to unveil themselves, and I discovered
mine! I am in love with the role of Senior Editor and will definitely give my best to
make RACUOK shine. The learning never ends, and I know it’s just the beginning of
another golden Rotaract year.

Dear Rotaract Diary,
Rotaract was indeed the turning point of my life. It truly helped me
find my real identity unveiling the hidden potential inside myself. I
feel I’m more active and spirited with the role of Co-Editor compared
to the monotonous school life. Writing is my passion and RACUOK
gave me a vast platform to enjoy it. So, I’m more than grateful for the opportunity I
got to work as an editor of the club. Until this time my journey in the Rotaract was
full of learning and it still is. It is in fact a supreme stage to explore our youth. Apart
