AN ACTIVITY ON-’ CAN YOU SEE THE AIR?’
“If you show up to break me it won’t happen, I am water, water doesn’t break. If you need to prove superiority it won’t
happen, I am air, air will always rise.”
Water and Air are the most essential elements present on the earth. Getting to know the importance of these two
structural components of life at young age makes a person more aware, sensitive and caring towards nature; which is
the prime need of the hour.
Today, the Young Bloomings learnt more about their EVS topic ‘Air and Water’ through a simple activity- ‘CAN YOU SEE
THE AIR’. The children were excited to know that what and where the air is!!
The experiment was conducted by the teacher on Google Meet Live class with simple tools available at home e.g.
empty bottle and a pot of water. The curiosity of the children was at par when they saw the bubbles pouring out of the
empty bottle, which made it clear that AIR IS EVERYWHERE. The Super-kids were so motivated that they shared their
ideas of air through their experiments like blowing air into balloons, blowing out air from mouth, bubble guns and
many more…
This is how KC International School imparts knowledge in children through experiential learning and stimulates young
minds to be creative.

where everyone respects the sentiments
of others, where women could live with
dignity and people have the conscience to
differentiate between good and bad
before they act.
‘May this Dussehra burn all your worries
with Ravana and the victory of Good over
Evil inspire you towards your own
victories!’

‘THE IMPORTANCE OF ELDERS &
THEIR ROLE IN LIFE’

“The elders are the history and mirror
of the living past. Study them to
brighten your life and future.”
With the changing situations, everyone
is limited in their own bubble of work
and stress. We’ve lost the count of time.
Children hardly get time to sit with their
parents and especially grandparents to
spend some quality time. In order to
bring that old charm back, the students
of Grade 6 were asked to perform an
activity 'Sugar, Spice & Fun' under the
guidance of their English teacher, Ms.
Shivali Ghumman. The students were
asked to do certain activities like,
cooking, playing, singing, watching

ACTIVITY ON –
‘GENETIC INHERITANCE’

Genetic inheritance is a basic principle
of genetics and explains how
characteristics are passed from one
generation to the next.
Genetic inheritance occurs due to
genetic material, in the form of DNA,
being passed from parents to their
offspring. When organisms reproduce,
all the information for growth, survival,
and reproduction for the next
generation is found in the DNA passed
down from the parent generation. One
such character was studied by the
students of grade 10 during the Biology
class under the guidance of their
Science teacher, Ms. Teena Gupta.
In this activity, they observed earlobes
of their family members and
understood the law of inheritance.

‘CREATIVE WRITING ACTIVITY’
In continuation with CBE, J&K
collaboration with Tamil Nadu
and celebrate Unity in Diversity
of our nation, students of
Grade 4 penned down their
research about Tamil Nadu in
"Creative Writing Activity“
under the guidance of Head
Mistress Ms. Poonam Bhagat.
It was a treat to read facts
about the culture, cuisine,
tradition and festivals. It also
helped to promote the spirit of
National Integration.

ACTIVITY ON-
‘THINK BEFORE THEY EXTINCT’
"Saving one animal won't
change the world, but it will
change the world for that one
animal."
To orient students to the plight
of endangered species and to
help them understand and
gain perspective on human
issues that continue to
endanger species and threaten
our global environment,
students of Grade 4 performed
an activity "Think before they
extinct" under the guidance of
their EVS teacher, Ms. Suvidha
Sharma.

“When you keep seeking to improve, you will
never get bored with your craft.”
KC International School always believes in
growth and development, not of the students
but of the teaching faculty as well. The
management spares no effort to bring the best
out of students and provide a significant
platform to the teachers to become more
methodical with their teaching pattern.
Keeping in view, Principal KCIS, Ms. Anupama
Sinha took a session on ‘A Progressive Teacher'
on October 29, 2020 with the teaching faculty
through the medium of Google Meet. She,
through her great experiences of professional
and personal fronts, interacted with the
teachers about how a progressive teacher is
different from just being a teacher. During the
pandemic, the teaching methods have taken a
miraculous turn which for sure was new for
everyone. Ms. Sinha explained various
methods and ideas through PowerPoint slides
that are beneficial and can make teaching-
learning more effective. Her words of wisdom
ignited a new spirit among the teachers. They
were elated and thankful to Ms. Sinha for
conducting such inspiring sessions to keep
them motivated.
