English Library Reading Month at MGPS was a month-long celebration of the written word that left an indelible mark on students' literary journeys. Throughout the weeks, students enthusiastically participated in various activities that deepened their love for reading. They eagerly attended library classes, where they were guided through the treasures of literature. Reading storybooks, they ventured into captivating worlds of imagination and adventure. After finishing their books, students engaged in postreading activities, delving into discussions and creative projects that explored the themes and characters of their chosen stories. They honed their comprehension skills by writing detailed story summaries, fostering a deeper understanding of the narratives. One of the most visually rewarding activities involved students crafting beautiful book covers, adding a personal touch to their reading adventures. English Library Reading Month not only fostered a love for literature but also enhanced reading comprehension, creativity, and presentation skills. It helps to develop empathy and creative expression among our students. At Modern Generation Private School, an exciting Creative Story Writing Competition brought together students from grades 5 to 11. The older students of grades 9 to 11, faced a unique challenge, as they had to craft stories on the spot with impromptu prompts. With pens in hand and minds racing, these young writers got to work. The room buzzed with creativity as students weaved their stories, demonstrating their imaginative prowess. The event showcased the power of storytelling in its raw form. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and it's something that affects each and every one of us, no matter our age. So, let's take a moment to understand why it's so important and how we can take care of our mental health. Firstly, why is mental health important? Well, think of your brain as a supercomputer that controls everything you do, from learning in class to playing with friends. Just like we take care of our bodies by eating healthy and staying active, we need to take care of our minds too. دوري كـــرة الـــقــــدم تعد كرة القدم هي اللعبة الرياضية الشعبية األوىل في العالم ، والتي تحظى بأكبر نسبة مشاهدة ومتابعة ؛ لذلك فهي تعد اللعبة الرياضية األوىل األكثر متعة لمعظم الطالب والطالبات ؛ لذا فقد حرصنا أن نوظف هذا الشغف والحب لهذه اللعبة الرياضية في إقامة مسابقة دوري كرة القدم بين الصفوف ؛ لتحقيق المتعة والمنافسة الشريفة ، وغرس الروح الرياضية في نفوس الطالب ، وتعليمهم قيمة الفريق والعمل الجماعي والروح التعاونية والعديد من القيم األخالقية والرياضية ، باإلضافة للفوائد الصحية والبدنية جراء هذه المنافسات ، ستستمر هذه الفعالية والبطولة خالل شهرنوفمبرلتحديد الفرق والصفوف الفائزة بالمراكزاألوىل للبطولة. 6.2 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
chess tournament 15th to 19th October 2023 دوري الشطرنج تعد لعبة الشطرنج واحدة من أفضل األلعاب العقلية، حيث أنها من األلعاب القليلة التي ال تعتمد عىل أي نسبة من الحظ والتوفيق كاأللعاب التي تعتمد عىل حجر النرد أو اختيار عشوائي للعناصر واألوراق ، فالالعب يمارس هذه اللعبة معتمًدا عىل عقله وذكائه وتفكيره من اللحظة األوىل وحتى اللحظة األخيرة ؛ لذا في إطار حرصنا عىل تنمية القدرات العقلية لطالبنا بالتزامن مع تحقيق المتعة والتسلية ، فقمنا بتنظيم دوري الشطرنج بين الطالب الملمين بقواعد اللعبة والراغبين بالمشاركة ، فدارت مباريات العقل والذكاء بين الطالب في أجواء تسودها الروح الرياضية والتنافس الشريف، ستستمر هذه الفعالية والبطولة خالل شهر نوفمبر لتحديد الالعبين الفائزين بالمراكز األوىل للبطولة. 7

The event, a cherished tradition at the school, saw students from grades 1-4 take centre stage. With a spotlight on their storytelling prowess, participants transported the audience to far-off lands, unravelling tales of adventure, inspiration, and fantasy. The competition not only nurtured creativity but also honed the students' public speaking skills and confidence. It was a heart-warming spectacle that showcased the power of storytelling to captivate and inspire. World Food Day 16th October 2023 9
World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year on 16th of October. The main motive of this celebration was to raise awareness among the young learners about the importance of food and to feel how blessed we all are. At MGPS, Kindergarten students celebrated this event by discussing the importance of food and not wasting food since some people around us suffer from hunger. The teachers encouraged the younglings to adopt healthy eating habits as eating well is fundamental to good health and well-being. Eating healthy helps us to maintain a healthy weight and reduces the risk of many diseases. The students were motivated not to waste and learned importance to eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that are loaded with nutritional value and health benefits by making different corners in the school area in a creativity ways. Tiny tots learnt the value of good nutrition as it is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle combined with physical activities. World Food Day 9.1

Tree Day 14 “Showcasing our commitment to environmental awareness” Tree Day is a great way to inspire students to learn about the local environment while playing an active role in their community. MGPS family seeks to make a difference, foster a child’s love of nature and create environmental change that will impact lives positively. This occasion focuses on teaching students about mindfulness and the environment through various related activities. Students develop skills in focus, attention, resilience, emotional intelligence, and regulation of the body and emotions. They also investigate the needs of plants and how they relate to human survival. Through various activities, students will tune into their senses and inner thoughts and feelings, and learn to appreciate and care for their local environment. Trees provide habitat, food and shade for animals and humans. They also provide a beautiful environment for young people to learn and teach young children how to care for, protect and restore the local environment. This enhances our natural environment biodiversity, outdoor learning and nature play! Each year MGPS supports students with the opportunity by creating awareness about trees and improve their natural environment. This year, Tree Day had several activities which ranged from a special morning assembly with a performance of poems, songs and drama in both English and Arabic. Students come with potted plants from home and added onto a rich, tranquil and exquisite display of nature all around the school. This was followed by group photo sessions for every class. Finally, every class participated in poster making competition. Each class harnessed their imaginative prowess to create unique, beautiful and captivating posters and presenting them to the discerning panel of judges. Well done to everyone who got their hands dirty on behalf of MGPS and for Oman. Congratulations students of MGPS, for a job well done.

Visiting the School Library It's been an exciting time in Grade 2 English class as our young learners have visited the school library. The library is like a treasure chest full of books, waiting for them to open and explore. It's a place where students can find all sorts of stories, from fairy tales to adventures, mysteries, and even funny books that make them laugh. Our Grade 2 students have been on an educational journey, exploring the parts of the book and its table of contents. They've learned that books are more than just a cover and numbers of pages. They can say the name of the book and its author. They also differentiate between fiction and nonfiction books (real or make-believe), and the main function of the content pages. 15 ENGLISH ACTIVITIES
KG ENGLISH ACTIVITIES phonics is the best, most efficient way to teach children how to read. Learning phonics is the big first step towards the joys of reading. When students learn phonics, they learn the sounds associated with the letters and learn how those letters work to create even more sounds in which together shape the words we use to communicate. ARABIC ACTIVITIES نشاط صفي عىل مهارة التحليل الصوتي شرح النشاط : في البداية قمت بتغذية راجعة للتالميذ عىل ما تم شرحه وتوضيحه في الحصص السابقة من قواعد التحليل الصوتي ) المد وما قبله مقطع صوتي واحد ( )الحرف الساكن وما قبله مقطع صوتي واحد ويسمى المقطع الساكن ( ثم أقوم بإثارة دافعية الطالب من خالل التطبيق عىل هاتين القاعدتين من خالل استخدام لعبة تعليمية من برنامج )الورد وول(. حيث يتناول النشاط مجموعة من الكلمات المضبوطة بالشكل ولها أربعة طرق لتحليلها إىل مقاطع صوتية وعىل كل طالب أن يقوم بقراءة الكلمة المراد تحليلها إىل مقاطع صوتية ثم يقوم بإختيار التحليل الصحيح لها من ضمن األربع اختيارات المتاحة أمامه ويتناوب الطالب عىل اإلجابة عىل األسئلة مع تعزيز اإلجابات الصحيحة من قبلي وتقديم التغذية الراجعة المناسبة في حالة الخطأ 17

Class activity: Understanding the properties of rocks It's been an exciting time in Grade 2 Science class as our young learners have been understanding new concepts of Science. In this edition, we'll highlight the fantastic progress they've made in understanding about rocks in the environment and the properties of rocks. Class activity: Model making of different habitats In addition to understanding about different types of habitats of plants and animals, our Grade 2 students have also learned how to make the model of habitats and they've brought their creative ideas. Class activity:Identifying push and pull forces Our Grade 2 students harnessed their new knowledge to identify push and pull forces through an exciting online quiz activity.This activity helped to reinforce their understanding about the application of push and pull forces in the daily life. “Learning by doing” Learning that takes place as a result of carrying out an activity or putting a concept into practice is active learning. It is the active pursuit of fresh knowledge as opposed to merely being a passive recipient. Seed germination activity: Grade 3 students actively participated in the seed germination activity. Some of the students recorded each day’s process in seed germination as Day 1: Soaked the seeds. Day 2: Seed sprouts and roots started to come. Day 3: Shoot appears. Day 4: Baby leaves started to come. Day 5: Turned in to a seedling. From this activity students understood that when a seed starts growing into a new plant is called germination. By doing this activity they completely get into the process of learning by doing. They shared their amazing experience with their peers and the science teacher. Lab Activity: Dissolving “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” Here is a glimpse of grade 5 students investigating the solubility of different substances in water and enjoy learning. KG SCIENCE ACTIVITIES عزالمعمري اإلختبار والتجريب هما سمة الطفولة وهما المنظار الذي ُيمكن للطفل من إلقاء نظرة قريبة عىل كل ما يحيط به، فمنذ الصغر يمكنك مالحظة طفلك وهو يحاول تلمسكل األشياء التي تقع بين يديه وينظرإليها عن كثب وربما يحاول تذوقها في كثير من الحاالت. فمن خالل التجريب يتمكن الطفل من تحليل وتركيب األشياء التي يجربها فيتعرف أكثر عىل مضمونها وخصائصها، وهكذا حتى يصل لتكوين فكرة عامة عن الشيء الذي يجربه من حيث الشكل والمضمون والوظيفة والخصائص. أكبر حيث تم لذلك حرصت مدرستنا في مرحلة رياض األطفال أن يكون للعلوم نصيبَا تخصيص قاعة خاصة للعلوم لتنمي وتشبع فضول األطفال في االكتشاف و البحث, لذا قام أطفال تمهيدي )ج( بعمل تجربة مزج الزيت و الماء . 20 نور عوض أيرا عدنان

KG MATH ACTIVITIES Numeracy is the ability to recognize and apply maths concepts in all areas of life. Everyday activities like counting, looking at shapes, and talking about sizes can help children develop early numeracy skills. A child’s first years are a time of rapid learning. Research tells us that preschoolers have an innate capacity to understand numbers. At MGPS the Kindergarten teachers, plays a key role in developing the student’s numeracy skills from an early age. Developing numeracy skills early gives children an important foundation for their learning and development. It helps prepare them for daily life, including general problem-solving and handling money. Maths includes noticing numbers, shapes, patterns, size, time and measurement. Incorporating maths into everyday experiences is easy and fun. kg islamic activities علي راشد الغيالني علي مصطفى الحضرمي ليان علي البوسعيدي خطوات الصالة من أجمل العالقات وأفضلها هي عالقة العبد بربه ومن أقوى هذه العالقات التي تصل العبد بربه ، هي الصالة حيث أن الصالة هي عمود الدين وهي أول مايحاسب عليه العبد يوم القيامة ، كما أن للصالة أثر كبير في تهذيب النفس وإصالح سلوك أبنائنا وبناتنا كما أنها تساهم بالتوازن النفسي عند األطفال وتجعل عندهم من الثقة في أنفسهم ، لذلك كان حرص المدرسة ليس فقط للتعليم األكاديمي ولكن أيضا لغرس القيم األخالقية وتفعيل أهمية العبادات وعىل رأسها الصالة في نفوس طالبها األعزاء ، حتى يكونوا فخ ًرا ألهليهم ولبالدهم الحبيبة عمان حفظ هللا أبناء المجتمع المسلم ووفقهم لكل خير فقد أحضر أطفال الصف التمهيدي سجادات خاصة بهم وطبقوا خطوات الصالة في ساحة المدرسة. 24

ان إستخدام استراتيجية التعلم باللعب تهدف اىل إخراج الطالب من نمط التعلم التقليدي الذي يشعر الطالب بالملل اىل التعلم باللعب الذي يشعر الطالب باإلستمتاع و لما نواجهه من تحديات في تطور إشعال طاقة حب التعلم من جديد بداخله و ذلك نظرًا التكنولوجيا و امتالك الطالب القدرة عىل التعامل معها بكفاءه عاليه وجدنا انه من المهم مجاراة التطورات و إضافة المتعة في التعليم من خالل استخدام تكونولجيا التعليم في الحصص الدراسية لمادة الدراسات االجتماعية لكسر الملل و الرتابة في التعليم و ترغيب الطالب في االكتشاف اكثر و ربطهم بالواقع المحيط بهم . 27 SOCIAL STUDIES ACTIVITIES
