Attention Deficit Disorder

ADD, also known as Attention Deficit Disorder, affects more than 3 million U.S citizens a year. It mostly affects kids aging
from 6 to 18 years old. More males are affected then females. Treatment can help, but Attention Deficit Disorder can not be cured. It
can last for years but it is most likely to be lifelong.

If someone has ADD then they might experience some behavioral issues such as fidgeting, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.
They might also experience sudden mood swings. Kids also tend to often fail to give close attention to details or makes careless
mistakes in schoolwork, work, or other activities. They also often have difficulty sustaining attention in tasks or play activities. They
have difficulty organizing and have either avoids, dislikes, or is reluctant to tasks that require mental effort like a puzzle or something.
When people think of impulsivity, they most often think about cognitive impulsivity, which is acting without thinking. However, the
impulsivity of children with ADD is a little bit different. These children act before thinking, because they have difficulty waiting or
delaying gratification. The impulsivity leads these children to speak out of turn, interrupt others, and engage in what looks like risk-
taking behavior. Other Symptoms of impulsivity include things such as kids often blurting out answers before questions have been
completed, they often have difficulty waiting their turn, and they often interrupt others or try to get into other people’s business.

I like this recipe because black bean soup tastes really good and also because my family likes to make it. It is probably the only
thing that my dad knows how to make. It is not a family recipe but we found it about two years ago and have had it every friday
since then. It tastes heavenly and I have never gotten sick of it. My family and I have changed it a little bit to fit it more to our taste,
but we still have the original kind sometimes. My mom made it for a city fair in California once, and it got first place. We have tried
to get restaurants to sell it, but they just won’t. However, we have gotten my other family friends or other relatives to try it. After
they tried it, they all loved it. It is probably the best meal ever.

Self Driving Racecar

• Designers get to have a lot of fun with self-driving cars. Foldaway steering wheels, spinny
seats, screens everywhere you look. After all, things do get wild when the human inside
doesn’t have to drive, or even look at the road anymore. But when you take the human
out of the car altogether, the design department can fully let loose. “We want people to
see this like a Tron, or an Oblivion, or a Star Wars spaceship,” is what Justin Cooke said
and he is the chief marketing officer of Roborace. Roborace is the company who started
the world’s first motorsports race for cars without drivers. On February second, 2017, at
Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Roborace showed off its star vehicle. Some people
say that the robo race car looks like an insect on it’s hind legs, getting ready to leap. If the
human race ever to get to a point where all cars are electric and autonomous,
demonstrating that robots can drive themselves around complex tracks at 200 miles per
hour without exploding would seem to be as good a way as any to convince the people
that these machines can be safe and reliable. It’ll also probably help if the car looks as
beautiful as the robo car. Some people might not like it because there aren’t people
driving it, but I think it would still be good. So take a look at the top for a picture of one
of these magnificent, insect looking, beautiful robo cars.

Life of Ted Bemis

Ted Bemis was born on September 1, 1939, and his parents were Robert
Bemis and Betty Bemis. He played a lot of football when he grew up and
hunted with his father when he was available too. However, his father was a
drunk and was never really around. His father then left him at the age of
sixteen, so it was just him and his mom. He went to the army in 1959 and
fought in the Vietnam War as a pilot until 1963. He was very good at math
and precision so he became a demolitionist. He got married at twenty five to
a nurse from the army and had his first kid at thirty. Then he had two more
kids, and his second kid is my mother today. He then became a technical
engineer, because he turned out to be a natural at it. In fact, his company
invented the ATM. After all of his kids moved out and had kids of their own,
he switched back to flying. He loves it, and loves his plane too, and it is
better than taking naps all day!

Track and Field

• Track and Field is a great sport to play in and is a great way to make friends too. Most people
think that all it is just a bunch of running. That is completely untrue, that title belongs to Cross-
Country. In Track and Field, you practice your event for about 1 minute or two, and then you can
just talk to your friends. You keep doing that for about half an hour, and then you do the same
thing, but with a different event. Track and Field includes events like the 100 meter dash, high
jump, discus, shot put, hurdles, the medley relay. My favorite is discus. A discus is like a frisbee
but smaller and heavier. The point of discus is to try to throw it as far as possible, but you aren't
just chucking it, there is a certain form for it. It is kind of like throwing a Frisbee, but backwards
almost. It is hard to explain on paper, so I recommend just looking up the different forms of
throwing a discus. My second favorite is hurdles. Hurdles is usually the shortest race in Track and
Field. A lot of people think the point is just to jump over the hurdles, except it is more than that. It
doesn’t matter how high you jump, as long as you jump over the hurdles. What matters is that
you get over the hurdle and get back to the ground as fast as possible. The 100 meter dash is
pretty simple and self-explainable, but just in case you don't know, I will tell you. It is basically just
running 100 meters as fast as possible, but if I ever run it, the gun they use as a starter scares me
everytime. High jump is probably the hardest event in my opinion. You have to be able to jump
pretty high. It is basically where they set a bar kinda high, literally, and you are supposed to jump
over it. It is pretty hard to do because you could barely touch the bar and knock it down.

Drew’s Dog Walking Service

• Are you away from home all day? Do you have kids that won’t take care of their dog? If you have either of
these, then go ahead and call 123-456-7890 to talk to Drew’s Dog Walking Service!

• Drew’s Dog Walking Service it the biggest dog walking service in the Nottingham Downs Neighborhood. It
is one dollar per dog, but if you have more than five dogs, it won’t go any higher than five dollars. We have
three walkers who walk at least ten dogs every day. If your dog is aggressive to other dogs, then please train
it or don’t bring it to us. We walk too many dogs at once for there to be a single outlaw. We also have a free
dog training service too if you want to train your dog. Every Friday, it is Free Walk Friday, and all of the dog
walks are free! We also have a dog cleaning service, it is pretty new, but we are getting the hang of it. We
have gotten many good reviews from lots of houses in Nottingham Downs too. If you want, we can take care
of your dog the whole day too.

• The people here at Drew’s Dog Walking Service is, Drew Pennington, Collin Carter, and Rachel Turner. We
all have one or more dogs and know how to treat them. We each have our own secret recipe for food and
treats for dogs. We are all dog lovers and can take care of them very well. We know almost everything there
is to know about dogs and how they are. We will probably teach them a few things if you are a frequent
enough customer and we see them a lot. Did we mention that your first three walks are free? The only catch
is that they all have to be with a different walker, so that you can see which one you like best or which one
you think is best for your dog. We all used to be like those kids who don't take care of there dogs, but we all
changed and became pretty successful dog walkers in the Nottingham Downs Neighborhood. So don’t forget
to call 123-456-7890!

The Blind Side

• The Blind Side is probably my favorite movie of all time. It is based on a true story, very dramatic in a good
way, and it almost made me cry. It is about a man named Michael Oher and he is homeless. The Tuohy
family, however takes him into their home. They saw him the first time when he was enrolled into their kids’
school, because the coach saw talent in him, and he was talking to their son. Later that day they saw him at
night when it was 30 degrees fahrenheit outside, walking to the gym. Except, he was in shorts and a T-Shirt.
So Mrs. Tuohy asks Michael if he had a place to stay, and he tried to say yes, but she knew he was lying to
him. So the Tuohy’s brought him for the night. They were a little bit skeptical about it, because they thought
he would steal something or something like that, but it turns out that he is a really good kid. He keeps on
talking to SJ, the Tuohy’s son, and he ends up staying with them about every night. He isn’t able to play
football, because his grades are too low, since he hasn't really gone to school before this school, but he gets
his grades up because he starts to pay attention more. I think he starts to pay attention more because he is
happier with the Tuohy's and is starting to like school more. He gets his grades high enough to play football,
but he isn't very good at it at the start. He tackles wrong, and doesn’t really know how to play the game. He
learns how to play, but he still tackles wrong. Mrs. Tuohy talks some sense into him and he starts to play very
well. His first game starts out pretty bad, but then he shows an exceptional performance later in the game,
and they end up winning. There are a bunch of colleges that want to get him on their team, but he needs a
higher GPA to get into them. This movie is great and full of surprises. It can be heartbreaking, suspenseful,
but it can also lighten your day a lot. I would recommend it if you are a football fan, but when I watched this
the first time, I wasn’t much of a football fan, but I still loved it a lot and thought it was great. So go and
watch The Blind Side whenever you can!

I Finally Hit a Dinger

• A bunch of friends and I got together and played a game of baseball
in the park. There wasn’t an actual baseball field. However there
were these four trees there were all in a square, and it was about the
same size of a baseball field, so we just used that. My team was losing
by one run. Then I was up, it got down to was a full count, and there
were two people on base. I really wanted to hit a dinger but I didn’t
think I could (By the way a dinger is a home run). Somehow, like I
actually have no idea how I did this, I hit the ball so hard and in the
perfect spot that we all heard the baseball break through someone's
window.

Trees: Mans Greatest Enemy

• I don’t remember it all that well, but one time I was playing with my
older sister. We were just running and running, but I “tripped” over
our dog, but I was really young and small and we had a fully grown
Great Dane, so I really ran face first into him and fell backwards. After
that, I cried for a few minutes cause I was little and a baby. Then I got
back up and kept running around. Then the next thing I knew, I ran
into a tree. Then I woke up in the hospital.
