Federation, we congratulate the Chai Society of Kesher on your 22nd Annual Scholarship
Dinner.

The Talmud teaches us, “Knowledge acquired during childhood is not soon forgotten.”
This adage underscores the traditional commitment of the Jewish people to pass along
understanding and appreciation of our religious legacy from one generation to the next,
beginning at childhood. Jewish education is the key to Jewish continuity and an important
element of our people’s survival across the millennia.

Kesher plays a critical role in this continuous educational process by ensuring that
children with learning disabilities and developmental delays have individualized
opportunities to learn. Its innovative approach to Jewish studies and secular subjects
ensures that special-needs children are taught and prepared to be caring, independent
heirs of our Jewish heritage.

We salute Kesher’s Board Chair Rebecca Fischer, Executive Director Rabbi Ezra Levy,
leadership and faculty for their collective support of pioneering approaches in education,
as well as their commitment to maintaining a truly inclusive Jewish community in Miami.

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation is proud to provide support to Kesher through our
