Chabad of Buffalo 2021

Chabad of Buffalo 2021

Dear Friend,

This year, Chabad is proud and delighted to celebrate
50 years of serving the Jewish community at UB and the

greater Buffalo community!

In Judaism, 50 years is called a Yovel or a jubilee cycle.
In Ethics of our Fathers, the rabbis use the word jubilee
to refer to a tree planted by the waterside whose roots
are deeply nourished, allowing the tree to flourish. We

have been honored to be that stream of spiritual
nourishment for countless students who over the last
50 years have gone on to create their own families and
to be leaders in their communities - each a flourishing

tree.

Our greatest joy is seeing those alumni we have helped,
supported, and watered with the beauty of Torah and

Judaism over the last 50 years.

Cont.

The Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson
whose endless love for every single Jew inspired the
foundation of our center, would remind us that a Yovel
or jubilee is a cycle, and as our first jubilee chapter
closes, another chapter begins, and we look forward to
another era of even more growth together with every

one of you.

Thank you to each and every partner, parent, student
and member who has been a part of our family over the
last 50 years. We're excited for the next 50 years shared

together with you - and countless more G-d willing!

Some of the sweetest memories of my life
include the years together with my dear Rav,

Rabbi Nosson Gurary, and his wonderful
family, for 50 years and counting.

Our gratitude is boundless as my family and I
would not be the beautiful Orthodox family

that we are today, without the Gurarys.

May Hakodosh Boruch Hu give the entire
Gurary family the strength to go Mechayil El
Chayil, with Bracha V'Hatzlacha personally

and in your holy work.

Howard & Elaine Alt

Chabad of Buffalo has been an inspiration to
thousands of people for over 50 years. The
Gurary family has been the foundation and
the engine that promotes Jewish and human

values to western new yorkers.

There is no better way to thank them and to
appreciate their efforts than to quote the
Lubavitcher Rebbe: “If you see what needs to
be repaired and how to repair it, then you
have found a piece of the world that G-D has
left for you to complete. But if you only see
what is wrong and what is ugly in the world,

then it is yourself that needs repair.”

The Sudit Family
