האם למבנה יש תאריך תפוגה? באילו סיטואציות ניתן להפיק תועלת ממבנה זמני? אלו מקצת מהשאלות איתן פרויקט זה יצא לדרך. פרויקט זה התמקד במציאת פתרונות אדריכליים למצבי ביניים בבעיר, להם השלכות על התושבים והמרחב. גוש דן כולו נמצא בשיאו של תהליכי בינוי משמעותיים ופיתוח תשתיות, תהליכים ארוכי טווח להם השפעות מיידיות ניכרות בתחומי חיים רבים. מתוך כך, מצב הביניים שנבחר הוא העבודות להקמת תחנת הקו הירוק של הרכבת הקלה בכיכר רבין שבתל אביב.לכיכר רבין חשיבות לאומית ואורבנית במגוון הבטים: מקום להביע עמדה פוליטית ולהתארגנות אזרחית, מוקד תנועתי חשוב במרקם האורבני, מרכז הכובד השלטוני של העיר ומרחב ציבורי רחב היקף בליבה של העיר. העבודות בכיכר מייצרות נתק ופוגעות בגישה של הציבור אליו. פרויקט זה מבקש לבחון כיצד ניתן להחזיר את המרחב הציבורי החשוב של הכיכר אל התושבים - לאפשר הקלה עבור הציבור לתקופת העבודות בכך שיאפשר שימוש חוזר ואחר בכיכר, בהתאם לתנאים המתאפשרים בתקופה זו. הפרויקט מציע בינוי ארעי עם מבני ציבור שנועדו לפצות על נזקי העבודות בתחומים השונים וכן להוות מרחב תצוגה לשיח חברתי ככלל בנושאים עירוניים בפרט, כיאה למיקומו של הפרויקט ולשימושיו של מרחב זה בשגרה. נוסף על כך, הפרויקט מציע בינוי מבנה ציבור טפילי על גג העיריה, אשר מסמל את השתתפותה של העירייה בעול המוטל על הציבור מכוח עבודות הרכבת הקלה. הבינוי הזמני מאפשר לבחון את איכויותיו הייחודיות של המרחב ביחס לאזור ולהציע אפשרויות הנגשה לציבור באופן קבע. Does a structure have an expiration date? In which situations can we benefit from a temporary structure? These are part of the question this project started with.
This project focused on finding architectural solutions for meanwhile situations in the city, which affects the residents and the public space. Tel Aviv metropoline as a whole is under massive building and infrastructure development processes, Long term processes with immediate affections in many life aspects. The meanwhile situations I chose to react to is the works of establishing the green line station of the light rail in Rabin square in Tel-Aviv. Rabin square has an national and urban importance in many aspects: Space for expressing political position and civil protest, important transportation point in the urban fabric, the municipal government and wide public space at the heart of the city. The works in the square creating disconnection and harming the access of the public towards it.
This project asks to examine ways of bringing back this important public space to the residents, and to allow relief for the public for the period of the works in a way that will enable reuse and a new use in the square, according to the conditions of this period.
