BENEFITS OF HOBBIES

The first benefit is hobbies makes you spare some time for yourself. This is
because hobbies force you to sit back from day to day stresses. Not all hobbies are
play though, some hobbies such as painting, reading and sewing can keep us useful
and ingrain with us with a purpose feeling while having a great time. By spending more
time, eventually we become immersed with our hobbies. The more fulfillment and
sense of achievement we can get from it.

Next, hobbies can be an option to declutter our mind. Hence, hobbies can make
you to take a break from your stressful thoughts and help us to focus on an activity that
we like and enjoy to do. But not all the hobbies offer a similar level of mental and
physical engagement instead hobbies help you to practice mindfulness techniques
without noticing it. Meditation, drawing, painting and cooking are the hobbies for
decluttering your mind.

Other than that, we have a better physical health. Physical hobbies can be a good
way to maintain shape. Gardening, hiking, exercising or sports can keep us fit and
active without the feeling of compulsory trip to the gym. Changing exercise into a
hobby can have flow on effects by boost confidence, increase energy level and have a
better physical health.

Hobbies can help to open up our world. Hobbies can help us to expand the limit of
our imagination, seeing the world in different perspective and allow us with the mental
space by generate great ideas. When we allocate time for our self to a hobby, we try
new challenges that encourage us to learn new ways for improvement. Hobbies not
only reassure a curious mind, but also help us to connect with completely new
community of people and chances to broaden our experiences will increase.

Lastly, hobbies can boost our career. Certain hobbies can help us to bring in side
income or even turn into a full-time job. The benefits for every hobby will be different
depend by how much time and passion we put into it. But for sure, hobbies give us

PATRICIA’S HOBBY

Hi! My name is Patricia who very passionate and enjoy my hobbies. As we

that one’s must have only 1 hobby. Instead we can have more than 1 hobby, it is
depending in oneself. Here, my hobbies are dancing, cooking, drawing and
singing. A hobby is a past time pleasure that keeps us focused, occupied and
happy. Everyone has their own interests and hobbies in their life, Therefore, my
first hobby is drawing. I like to draw since my childhood and I always draw random
pictures and portraits with colors. Since that, I always participate in different
drawing and painting competitions during my school time. As a result, I win may
teachers’ heart by my beautiful drawings. Apart from drawing, I like to dance. My
inspiration for dance is my parents. I know many types of dance such as western,
hip hop, Jazz and swing. Dance is the best way to keep our body fit and healthy.
Dancing allow to express our feelings, no matter where the music strikes and
automatically I feel like dancing. Cooking also one of my favorite hobby because it
keeps me happy whenever I feel down. Cooking is the only thing which I know, I
am best in it and I usually cook for my family and friends. At the same time, I like
to do try some new dishes which inspire me right after watching some cooking
video in YouTube. Most of the time, my mother will help and guide me in cooking
by sharing her recipes with me. Cooking also consider as art, as the decoration of
a food, the way the food is plated and even many ingredients are being mixed
together in order to come up with good food. Lastly, I like to sing and listen to
music. Even though my voice is not that good but I still like to sing. For me, it is so
fun and great way to entertainment. Through singing and listening to music, I can
feel calm and relax. Mostly every day, I will listen to music especially before I go to
bed because it helps me feel better and gives me a great pleasure. A stronger,
healthy and successful person always have some good hobbies as it reflects our

PRESSURES OF ONLINE LEARNING

The COVID-19 pandemic had embraced every sector in the world include
education sector. Though the COVID-19 gives impact in every sector of
the world, the education sector is one of the most suffering among
them. Therefore, online learning becomes the solutions of the education
sector for a long period. Anyhow with the arrival of new method of
learning, there are some students who face pressures of online learning.
The first challenge students face is lack of digital devices such as phones
and laptops. Not all students can afford to buy digital device especially
students in rural area. Adapting technology for online teaching with a
short time was the biggest challenge. Somehow the student’s parents
have to invest money for the devices, software and internet. Other than
that, online teaching and learning in a home environment are completely
different from classroom environment. Some students feel that home
environment is not perfect for learning. This is because noise or other
disturbance can be the cause for the learning to be distracted. Even for
the students, those having strong bandwidth, they are forced to switch
off their videos because they don’t want to reveal their domestic
circumstances. Next, long screen time may cause eye pain and
headache. Students have to sit at one place facing the screen for couple
of hours. This definitely will affect their health condition. Some students
end up by wearing spectacles. Apart from that, not all students
understand via online learning. This is because, they are unable to ask
any doubts face to face. Some of them understand better when clear
explanation given directly in person. Meanwhile, students have to do all
the exercises given by themselves without friends help. Before this, they
are well to discuss and ask help from their friends whom will sit besides
them in the classroom. In conclusion, there are many ways and solution
to overcome this online learning pressure especially students.

HOW TO MANAGE STRESS

Stress is the physical and mental response of the body. It is the result of our
emotion or reaction to outside events and it is not compulsory the events must be
in themselves. Different causes of stress for different people. For example, for
students, examination, deadlines, balancing the demands of family with studying
and problems with friends might be the causes for stress. If we fail to manage our
stress then it will lead to serious health condition. The first thing that we should do
is we must make time for our self. Look after our self will be the good way to
manage our stress. For example, practice yoga and try relaxation techniques.
Once in a weekend, we also can take a long hot bath. It helps to relax our mind
and muscles. Spend time with friends also can reduce our stress. Friends are
someone who always there for us in ups and down. We can share our problems
with them, this is because there are willing to listen our problems. For example,
meet our friends for a lunch/dinner or plan a trip with them. From doing this, all
problems will fly away at the moment and we start to treat ourselves to something
special. Besides that, the important step to manage stress is learn to confront the
problem. We must try to stay back and look at the problem carefully. Break the
problems into manageable parts. Discuss the problem with someone else and get
others help or opinion if you need. Last minute work, deadlines and examination
are the main source of stress for students. To avoid procrastination, we can
prepare a do-to list and schedule for us to set our priority. Other than that, if we
have any problems with someone, by talking it through with other person can help
us to convey our feelings and help us to convey our feelings and help to find out
the solution from different perspective. Sports or other physical activities helps us
to relax physically and also releases endorphins in the body which gives us a real
feeling of well-being. For example, walking, swimming and cycling will be the good
exercise for release stress. Lastly, try to express our self through writing a diary,
shout or even moan about it. It is very important to express our feelings especially
when we are in stress. Sometime having a good cry not, a wrong to release our
emotional pressure and calm to overcome anxiety.
