The sophomore
peer ministers were
responsible for the
nativity scene which
appeared on the school's w ind ow s during December. However "they" call for
Peer Ministry club, these gifted students are asked to represent the follow ing

'Fhis years Environm ental Club started o ff with |
a big bang by having thirty-six m em bers.
These m em bers cam e in strong w ith great
ideas about helping the Bishop McGuinness
co m m u n ity beco m e m ore aw are about what to
do to clean our environm ent. By the second
m eeting they decided to A dopt a Park, take a
hiking trip to Hanging
Rock, replant the flower
bed in the front of the
school, and take a field
trip to a nearby recycling
plant. They have also
helped out at the annual
Reindeer Rom p at
T anglew ood. This is a
very active club,and it
hope to accom plish much including heightening everyones awareness of how
precious our environm ent is to our survival, it's the o nly Earth w e 'v e got so w e
have to take care of it! The leaders of the Environm ental Club are President Betsy
Bow m an, Vice President Bethany Norris, Secretary Kate Ballsieper, and Treasurer

Sherrill. Their main function is
to go further indepth in learn
ing about our surroundings.
Under the supervision Of Mr.
Eklund and Ms. Sheets, they
do experiments
and work on
projects that w ill
im prove BMHS.
They are planning
a joint hiking trip
w ith the Environ
m ental Club at
Hanging Rock.
They have more
adventures
planned and are
learning new
things everyday. Their m em bers plan to pursue m ostly m edical and scientific fields
after graduation, and the Science Club is a ju m p start into the real w orld. It also
allow s them to learn about things that they are rather interested in.
