98 PROSEDUR OPERASI STANDARD : PENILAIAN AUDIOLOGI VESTIBULAR DAN KESEIMBANGAN Lampiran 7 Kontraindikasi menjalankan ujian kalorik (air/udara) KONTRAINDIKASI MENJALANKAN UJIAN KALORIK (AIR/UDARA) • Pesakit yang mempunyai sejarah penyakit tekanan darah tinggi yang tidak terkawal / akut • Pesakit yang mempunyai sejarah penyakit jantung (arrhythmias terutamanya masalah bradycardia atau Stokes Adams attack; acute or de-compensated phase) contohnya sekiranya pesakit mengalami ketidakstabilan angina , myocardial infarction (dalam masa 3-6 bulan) atau pesakit yang disyaki mengalami masalah jantung. • Pesakit yang mengalami Psychotic/neurotic disorders (acute or de-compensated phase) • Pesakit yang mengalami Epilepsi (acute or de-compensated phase) • Pesakit yang telah menjalani pembedahan mata ( dalam masa 3 bulan terkini) • Pesakit yang telah menjalani pembedahan telinga (dalam masa 3 bulan terkini) Senarai di bawah adalah kontraindikasi tahap dua yang perlu diambilkira sebelum menjalankan ujian kalorik: • Masalah serumen berlebihan • Otitis eksterna • Middle ear fluid/effusion • Hypermobile atau atrophic tympanic membrane - perlu langkah berhati-hati untuk masalah hypermobility yang teruk • Tympanic membrane perforation ( boleh gantikan dengan stimulus udara) • Pesakit yang mengalami masalah mastoid cavities boleh menjalani ujian kalorik dengan menggunakan stimulus udara, walaubagaimanapun interpretasi ujian perlu dijalankan dengan lebih teliti.
