Chinese New Year

Mr Lee, head of the Mandarin
Department and Amanda , the Emcee

t last the time has finally arrived for the SPM 2020 Cohort to finally face the biggest exams of their lives.
Despite all the struggles and mentally draining challenge that have surfaced the past year, here we are
gathered for the final lap of high school. Nerves and pre exam jitters were kicking in as we entered

the hall to attend the briefing of the exam that will begin in less than a week on the 22nd of February. The
briefing started off on a very motivational and inspirational note as we were addressed by the Campus Principal,
Dr. Jeffery and National Senior Principal Mr. Fazli Osman. Later we moved on to the important rules and
regulations that we needed to know in order for the exam to be conducted smoothly. To add to that, additional
rules and regulations had been set so as to make sure all students adhere to the strict standard operating
procedures to keep everyone safe throughout the exam period. Lastly, we got a few minutes to hear a few
words from our dedicated teachers that have been alongside us throughout this battle with the pandemic, to
sit for our exams. We are so grateful for all the help and motivation they have provided us and will strive to
do our best for the examination.

t last the SPM Exam is here. Unlike previous years, there were
new SOPs and many teachers on duty to ensure everything
goes smoothly. The Exam, which started on the 22nd of

February will continue into the month of March.
Under MCO, we need 5 times the number of teachers on duty
to ensure the SOPs are followed and no rules are broken. Every child
is precious, every life is.

raduation Day for the Class of 2020 a much-awaited event, a day to cherish and forever remember
was here. The graduating students turned up in full force. None were accompanied by their parents.
Unlike previous graduation events, this had to be conducted differently as SOPs of an almost
unimaginable level had to be followed, from how the students, and VIPs walked into the hall to how the
students received their scrolls. Every step had to be planned carefully and delicately so as not to cause
unnecessary and unwanted problems.
Though their exams were just over, some were game enough to dance, sing and play musical
instruments. This added to the cheer for the day. All the graduating students were decked out in their best.
The scrolls were given out class by class. After a class was done there was a photography session just for the
class involved. There was even a photography session for all students of the 2020 batch at one go . Bearing
in mind the SOPs that had to be followed, all students were seated in their respective places, a metre apart
as the cameras zoomed in on them and the VIPs.
The students then proceeded to the school canteen to feast on the delicacies served.
As parents were not allowed to attend this event, the whole of the proceedings were streamed live via
Youtube so that all parents could watch the activities.
Finally, the class of 2020 had attained the required milestone and were free to step out into the world.

A. This was a gathering for Hari Raya, an event normally held just before Hari Raya. This
year, the event had to be brought forward to the 5th of May, 2021 as the government had
made the latest announcement regarding MCO.
It was held at the main canteen. Bubur lambuk, Roti John and a few other delicacies
were distributed by Dr Jeffery and En Fazli to the Muslim teachers present. As covid
protocols had to be followed, the event was kept short and sweet. No dining- in was
allowed. The event was over by 4.30 p.m.
B. Another event In conjunction with Hari Raya, a RAMADAN ENRICHMENT
PROGRAMME was also held. It was an altogether different kind of programme because
of the Pandemic. It was an online, internal programme open only to the Real Schools, Shah
Alam Family.
Imam Muda Ustaz Nuri Ali shared his thoughts on the significant topic of
“Challenges of the New Norms for the Muslims”.
C. There was also a REAL KASIH ALMS-GIVING RAMADHAN PROGRAMME -
SUMBANGAN IKHLAS UNTUK RUMAH ANAK YATIM DAN ASNAF. It was a Charity
Event aimed at collecting donations for under-privileged children. The fund- raising
programme began on 3rd May and ended on 6th May. Ustaz Saridzuan and Ustazah Aisyah
were behind this particular programme.
On Monday, several teachers from the senior school headed by Dr Jeffery, our
Campus Head, and En Fazli, our National school principal visited some Orphanages to donate
money and food to the needy. The Alms-giving Programme was carried out between 10.00
a.m. and 1.00 p.m. One of the Orphanages visited was Pusat Jagaan Kasih Bestari in Kg. Melayu
Subang which has about 138 orphans. Ust. Saridzuan, Ustazah Siti Aisyah, En. Norasid,
Ustazah Rohayu, and Puan Shariza helped to donate a variety of food stuff.
Another Orphanage that was visited was Rumah Kasih Harmoni, Paya Jaras with a
population of 63 boys and 48 girls. This was visited by Dr Jefferi, Mr. Fazli, Cik Siti Aishah
Azhara, Pn Aisah, Ms Tanya and Ms Pari. More than RM 5,800 was donated to both
institutions.
A desire to help the under-priviledged, a most meaningful and touching sign of the

he VIRTUAL OPEN DAY held from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. on the 22nd of May, was in Dr. Jeffery’s words
hugely successful. The marketing team created a Response Google sheet for all counsellors to give
their link to parents to connect with them. Each counsellor consisting of teachers from all three
schools, was given a slot to talk with parents and answer their queries.
While the counselling was going on the public was given a chance to log in Facebook and watch live
offerings from school. It all started with a winning, coherent and succinct speech given by Dr. Jeffery. This
was followed with numerous videos from students, ex-students, parents and teachers from all three schools
in the campus. Behind the scenes, Ms. Parimala and the marketing team and En. Norasid were working
non-stop to ensure everything was running smoothly and the hiccups were dealt with immediately. The
three Principals, Ms. Mary, Ms. Evelina and our very own Mr. Fazli hardly had a moment’s rest responding
