digital randomizer. Aspiration, Faith and Optimism were the names of the teams. The theme for this event was 'Futuristic Environment Based on HOPE', that
encouraged the participants to create a collaborative piece of digital art using the digital tools to accomplish their objectives. A teacher and a student from the
council body was associated with each team to help them complete their artwork which displayed only the positive aspects of the new normal. The participants
used a variety of 2D or 3D media to create and present their artwork. They were free to show the integrity of the visual elements mingled with collaborative

upon the fact that it is the second edition of the DPS Confluence with all the four
schools coming together to collaborate through various competitive activities. A
randomized team of three students each from 6, 7 and 8 grades of all the four schools
2020-21 was formed to conduct a research, based on the live examples of countries which
battled the pandemic crisis and won over it despite various odds and adversities faced
by its citizens. This event was all about the indelible impact left by the pandemic on
humanity and society. Each team made a presentation with an overview of COVID-19
and the sufferings of nations, due to its brutal global attack.

Prachi Paliwal from class 7 of DPS Jodhpur as one of the contributors. The Best Team
Award's runner up position went to Team C Brazil and the winner for the same was
Team B Sweden.
Ms. Vandana Marwah, Principal DPS Sharjah, addressed everyone in the dazzling closing
ceremony. She welcomed the Pro-Vice Chairman Mr D C Kothari, the Principals of DPS
Dubai, DPS Jodhpur and NDPS Sharjah. She appreciated the whole hearted
participation by the participating teams and untiring efforts of DPS Sharjah team to make this event a success. It was followed by a scintillating dance
presentation by the students of DPS Sharjah. A review and highlights of all the sessions and the camaraderie among the students was stressed upon. It
was mentioned that the innovative ideas to generate inventive presentations consisted of four domains for which the prestigious prizes were announced.
The Pro Vice Chairman Mr D C Kothari in his words of wisdom mentioned that alone we are smart and together we are brilliant. He opined that there are
two sides of every coin, similarly technology can also be used as a friend or foe. He was happy to mention that every child in the confluence used it as a
friend, a medium to reach the destination. He added that the pandemic will remain a story to tell after a few years from now. It has taught many things to
the people. He stressed upon the fact that only people under pressure perform to the utmost. It is when the going gets tough the tough gets going. He
said that this unforeseen situation has made every person learn to use technology and especially so in the case of youth. This according to him is because
young minds are innovative. He mentioned that in difficult times we do not stop, instead we go further and that is what education and technology teach
us. The best use of technology was made by organising this DPS Confluence on a virtual platform. He congratulated everyone for their participation with
enthusiasm and zeal. He also asked all to go for the vaccination to create a shield against coronavirus and take care of their health and hygiene.
THE CREATIVE SIDE OF BUDDING SCIENTIST
Delhi Public School Jodhpur is extremely pleased once again to announce the three
winners of the Inspire Awards. Dhriti Sharma of class 6, Pranshu Jha of class 7 and
Divyanshu Bishnoi of class 10 who showcased their calibre to win this prestigious
award this year. Each one of them is awarded with a prize money of Rupees 10000 (ten
thousand) and a certificate by Inspire Award, a unit of Department of Science &
Technology in association with National Innovation Foundation. They topped this
prestigious category for presenting innovative ideas to aid technology and make it
beneficial for our country and its citizens. These three were amongst the few students
who represented their school for the national level science competition. Dhriti Sharma
of class 6 created a ‘Hand Support for a Fractured Hand’ which is a waist-worn
immobilizer that provides support to a fractured hand instead of a sling. It can be used
in the treatment of dislocation or post-surgical process which causes no neck pain or no
load on the cervical or spine. Pranshu Jha of class 7 presented his idea of ‘Study Table
Wheelchair’ which is found useful for people with impaired mobility. This wheelchair
has an overhead light bulb and a moving desk attached to it so a person using this chair
can keep some books under its holder which is located right under the seat and move
to any place to read without returning to the shelf. These innovative ideas helped them
to qualify for the National Level Exhibition and Project Competition wherein National
Innovation Foundation will provide mentoring support to winners for development
of prototypes in coordination with reputed academic and technology institutions of the
country. Only 60 ideas or innovations will be shortlisted and displayed at the Annual
Festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship based on novelty, social applicability,
environment friendliness, user-friendliness and comparative advantage over the
existing similar technologies. These three were amongst the few students who
represented their school for the national level science competition.

the Secondary Category-Class IX-X.
At the National Level the topics were,’Desh Bhakton Ki Kahaani’ and ‘Paropkaari Jeevan Uttam Jeevan.’ Preksha narrated an original story on the topic, ’Desh Bhakton Ki
Kahaani’ which was about three freedom fighters of Nekpur village in Muradnagar. The real life incident that took place somewhere in 1922 was meticulously and
efficaciously woven into a story by Dr Savita Sharma, PGT Hindi, Delhi Public School Jodhpur. The plot of the story was about the atrocities and harassment by British
officials on the women of Nekpur, but one incident that shook the entire village was the kidnapping of a newly wedded girl. Following which three brave men of the village
decided to hatch a plan and avenge the two British officers who were the culprits. They successfully killed one of the officers but one of them managed to escape. The
British police was determined to take serious action against the three. As a result of a clue from an Indian informer, they were able to trap them in an orchard in Hapur

On a Monday morning I was taught
to look around and give a thought
(these old Buddies seemed all new)
‘What does a tree speak to you?’
Lush green, vibrant and bright
stands strong day and night
For years it had stayed here
Known the people from far and near
But there it was, one branch looking dead,
being the centre of attention instead.
A hundred Green Leaves all around it were spread
‘Why only see the yellow?’ The tree said.
‘You choose to see the good or bad.
You decide to stay happy or sad.
So let go of the grey and inspite of the blue,
go see the light.’
Every tree tells a story
of joy, smiles and of Glory,
if you ever stopped by and listened to
‘What would a tree speak to you?’

Let’s Change The World THIS HEART OF MINE
It’s year 2021, Oh, this heart of mine
My grandfather told me a story, What does it want? What it doesn’t?
Which his grandfather told him, Wants to stay home, and leave it at the same time
I can call it history, Wants to say ‘yes’, but ‘no’ also
Why, because it takes me back, Loves loneliness and hates it too
In year 1921. What to do?
Oh, this heart of mine
When there was greenery everywhere, So complicated, so confused
Nothing like global warming was there, Tells me to raise my voice
The most important thing was, water was clean, Two seconds later, I regret it.
Sometimes supports me saying, “You are doing the right
I wish I was born in that year,
Why, because now we see, thing”
A little later, I end up burning my life
Not greenery but Corona everywhere,
Not only global warming but ozone depletion is also Oh, this heart of mine
What does it want? What it doesn’t?
there,
Not only that, but water is also unclean, So unpredictable, so weird
My mom made it, my dad shaped it
And this isn’t a world I dream. My bro grew it, they all made it better
If these situations continue in upcoming year, Not perfect, of course!
It will be impossible for our future generations to live But it’s enough, the way it is
here, So dumb, so smart
Still, we can change this situation, Many times right, many times wrong
For our future generation, But, it’s so strong!
By growing a plant, Oh, this heart of mine
On every special occasion. Made by my mom,
Shaped by my dad,
YESHI PANWAR Grown by my bro,
This heart of mine.

LET ME FLY I am the sweetest and the greatest fruit,
“One to the left, According to every person I am very cute
one to the right,
that's how I want I shine brightly in the summer season,
my road to look like.
Day-dreaming about my future, I am the king of fruits because of some reason
helps me figure out nothing,
Still thinking how my life can be an adventure. I am a point of attraction in the Indian summer,
Yeah, I don't want any clean life,
I don't want any clean adventure, Because of me, the summers are not really a bummer
I want the mountain to be full of stones,
so that I manage to climb up there on my own People define me as fleshy, juicy, sweet and tasty,
and hoist my flag one day to clear further roads
I don't want to think about it right now, People make my Ice-Creams by turning me frosty
I don't want to talk about it right now,
small and uneducated mind taking decisions of life, Under my tree many people took shade,
that scares me so much for the wrenched future-
personality of mine. I believe that people will never let me fade
Wanting well-wishers to fly a little higher,
and come out of that horizon, Children pluck me from my trees,
which they keep imagining me
in a life of limited zone. My blossoms enjoy in the gentle breeze
Wanting them to have a drastic change
in thinking about me to fly in a limit, A tongue feels regretful without my taste,
and saying "there's still a lot to struggle",
by making my point inconsiderable. Without my pulp, its life gets waste
Drowning in my own thoughts,
whether to take decisions or not, Yes, you guessed it right,
creating a mess inside my head…I don't know what to do!!”

GOOD DEEDS REFLECT GOOD CHARACTER
‘Our character is not reflected by what we say or even what we intend, it is a reflection of what we do.’
It is very true that “Character is a diamond that scratches every stone”. Deeds that make others happy and content always reflect the true
character of a person. These deeds are such qualities which are inculcated in oneself but projected on others. Constant practice of doing
good for others will result in good character.
These good deeds show patience and purity of the heart. Pointing out others’ mistakes is an easy task but forgiving someone for their
mistakes is very difficult. One is rich with good deeds not with money. The best way to check your own deeds is to see what you do while
no one is watching you; we pretend to be what we are not, in the presence of others. If your deeds are good, you will never lose your
morale and you will not get distracted from your path, and even boost others to do well.
People take birth and they die, this is something very natural. But, when a good person leaves for the heavenly abode, he is remembered
for his good work. A man of high character always remains virtuous and selfless, and thinks about others first. This well proves that “The
source of good deeds is self-sacrifice.”
We know that ‘Actions speaks louder than words’. Respect is earned by your actions, your good actions. If you do something good, you
will definitely attain respect. Life is short and if you're looking for extension, do well. Try to make your life larger than life by making
people happy, by stop being selfish, and by helping others.
DO GOOD TO OTHERS, IT WILL COME BACK IN UNEXPECTED WAYS

“BEING RICH” VS “BEING WEALTHY”
‘BEING RICH’ and ‘BEING WEALTHY’ might be two similar words. We often incorrectly use these terms to
describe the same thing. Although they are synonymous, but there’s a great disparity between the two.
“BEING RICH” is simply about how much money you have in your account. People who are rich might drive
fancy luxurious cars or live-in stunning houses worth a million dollars at the best corner of the city. They might
have rich lifestyles. But “BEING WEALTHY” is not only about having money to meet your needs. It means how
rich you are in wisdom, love, dignity, and faith. It does not necessarily mean they own latest gadgets or have
fancy car or a lavish lifestyle as these are only materialistic pleasure. If you feed the hunger – “You’re wealthy”. If
you seek your happiness in other’s happiness – “You’re wealthy”. If you wake up seeing your parents smiling –
“You’re wealthy”. If you get a warm hug from your mom, when you’re at your most miserable state – “You’re
wealthy”. Money is just a piece of paper, it’ll come and go but these treasures in life are priceless. We should stop
attaching a number to everything and should feel rich and wealthy with what we have right now.

Is saving water not a million worth? But it’s not really right! Has Gone !
No matter how hard one strives, Now Earth has to take revenge,
Without water, no one can survive. And fight with all its might. Oh, the year has gone!
And lots of hustle bustle went on…
Ground to sky and Sky to ground, We never noticed and we never realized, Although I was with all of you…
This journey goes round and round. Whole our Mother Earth was crying. Yet I was all alone!
On the mountains, it’s milky white, But now however hard we keep trying,

Liquid, vapour or cold ice, We are the one to be blamed with a sigh. Oh covid! What have you done.
Every form of it has something nice. Corona, is not just a deadly virus, Ahh! The whole year has gone.

IS EVERYWHERE We all are at our home
Corona will go this is only our hope
Nature nature everywhere... Some were happy some were crying
In the rivers which flow, My home is full of my DIY’S
And in the sparkling stars which glow.
When I look up I see a bright giant ball, Following the precautions every hour
And when I look ahead it’s a beautiful waterfall. We know that we will win this war
Doctors and policeman they made us smile
Nature nature everywhere... They are the super heroes who saved our life
In those big mountains,
And in these magical fountains. Teachers taught us online
Rainfall is nature's shower, They are very nice
I wonder how nature has so much power. If we don’t understand something
They teach the topic twice
Nature nature everywhere...
In those green and tall trees, It was very easy
And in chirping birds and bumblebees. To learn technology
I adore the colourful flowers near me, Teachers taught us many topics
Nature gives us everything for free. Like History and Biology
Nature nature everywhere... We enjoyed with our parents
In the diversity of the land, We did our work ourselves because there were no, servants
And in the sky when seven colours of rainbow blend. Some people were sad they lost their jobs
We fed animals like cows, cast and dogs
Nature nature everywhere...
We should respect it with love and care. We will be happy again
Nature has infinite beauty, We will meet soon
Protecting it is our duty. We will share the knowledge we gain
Through every resourceful afternoon !

Well , I guess nowadays , this is the most common discussion among our parents and we people ( kids ) .
Actually there is a huge difference between them and us . We all know times have changed , today we are living in a digital world , where goodness is
replaced with smartness , outdoor games are replaced with mobile games , notes with pen / pencil are replaced with printouts , mails etc. , punishment
for silly mistakes were not allowed to play with friends in the evening are replaced by not giving them internet password , hanging out with friends
changed to video chats and calls and the list is so long that it goes on .
Yes even I sometimes feel jealous , why I was not born in early 90’s . Today’s world has material comfort but not peace of mind . People send laughing
emojis but are not happy .
The things existing all around today which one could not have even dreamt a decade ago are available in various multiple choices . But as experience
has shown that trends do not last for long . No doubt , technology has made a lot of difference to today’s life , making it much more comfortable but still
I sometimes feel that those were the times when actually people knew how to live life to the fullest .
Even , students of 80’s and 90’s who are now parents were well disciplined , obedient and punctual and followed the rules and regulations of school.
I really think my parents were more better students than I am . Whether we agree or not , we need to learn a lot from our elders how to enjoy childhood
People in all generations will surely see all changes right from lifestyle to technology and will always find losing their precious teen days . Change is
part of our life , happiness depends and differs from time to time . People from 90’s always feel that they had an amazing childhood , and kids these days
are missing out on a lot of stuff . However , kids these days are just adapting and changing with time and that is the whole point .
