Assalamualaikum and warm greetings to the Class of 2021
Despite the challenges of navigating your studies through the pandemic, with virtual learning and
movement control order, Alhamdulillah, all members of the Class of 2021 managed to complete

your exams successfully without any incidents. This is clear evidence of your commitment and
perseverance in pursuing your dreams, and I believe that this attitude will help you in the next
phase of your studies. Last November, your batch obtained the best ever result for the AS exam;
100% of students managed to get 13 points and above. Hopefully, the same result or better will

be repeated for AL.
The bigger part of my role as Head of School throughout 2020 and 2021 is managing covid-19
pandemic. It was absolutely essential to prevent any covid-19 case from happening in school
because that would have led to school closure. Our main concern and worry were if students
were unable to sit for the exams and that could have jeopardized your future of going overseas.

Because of that, the management was very strict in implementing the covid-19 prevention
standard operating procedures. I would like to thank all parents for being exceptionally
understanding and supportive in helping us in preventing covid-19 outbreak in KMS.

To all the academic and non-academic staff, thank you for your hard work in ensuring the
success of all the students in KMS. Thank you to the Kaleidoskop editorial board for your hard

work and effort in putting the magazine together and congratulations on completing it.
Congratulations to all Fast Track A-Level students for completing your studies and good luck in

your future endeavours
Looking forward to another exceptional year, May Allah bless us all.

Assalamualaikum wbt, Alhamdulillah…
Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to the members of Kaleidoscope for putting all their effort in
completing this wonderful magazine. I am deeply honoured to be given this opportunity. This magazine
highlighted the precious moments that we treasured together in Kolej MARA Seremban albeit different

experiences we faced due to the pandemic.
While in college, we had to deal with and adapt to online classes, abide by the Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP) and attend virtual events which were quite tough and challenging. Sometimes, we felt like
chit-chatting around the park with our friends or rather enjoying a bowl or two of cendol at Medan Selera
Penghulu Cantik, but that simply would not happen. These constraints gave us some hard times but
nonetheless, we were grateful to receive endless moral support from the college and our family at home.

Despite these obstacles, succeeding in the A-Level program is still our number one priority. An
immense appreciation to our beloved lecturers who are always pleased to guide us in each respective subject

and even sacrifice their time on occasions to do some additional classes. For them, our excellence is their
priority and seeing us standing at the summit of success, is their surge of joy.

The Student Representative Council (SRC) had organized some physical programs before the
lockdown such as the Sports Carnival and Merdeka Celebration. The events were successful, and the students
had so much fun. We could not be more grateful to our advisors for their continuous assistance. Even though

we were not able to participate in many events physically, we still managed to create an environment that
bonds us together like a family.

I firmly believe that the students here in KMS are all brilliant. We complement and complete each other
despite the difference in personalities and talents. We should not miss the opportunity to always offer and seek

help from others to ameliorate constantly, in every aspect of our life. Lastly, let us ponder upon one of the
verses from Surah As-Syarh, “Verily, with every hardship comes ease”. With that, I thank you.

1972 The college began its first few years as one of Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM)



The college introduced the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Science Matriculation
Programme
1978

The college then introduced the GCE A-Levels programme and the last batch of MRSM



The GCE A-Levels programme was ceased. From this year to 1992, the college change its
name to Kolej Pengajian Tinggi MARA and was under the administration of Yayasan
1985 Pelajaran MARA



MARA officially took over the administration

1988 The college formally known as Kolej MARA Seremban on 3 February 1994



The college introduced the Nothern Consortium University Degree Programme



The UKM Matriculation Programme was abolished to make way for the Malaysian Education
Ministry Matriculation Programme
1992

The GCE A-Levels Programmed was reinstated


The college gained the International Baccalaureate World School certification and was
1994 authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme in April



The college was then put under the administration of a sub-division of MARA, the MARA
Higher Education Department
1998

First UTM Foundation Programme

Last batch of IB Diploma Programme entered

2000 Today, KMS is one of the top preparatory colleges that produces leaders around the world
