23 Chopped Champion Dinner for 10
Sit back and enjoy while a two-time winner of Chopped, cooks a special
meal for you and your 9 guests in your home. Chef James Major serves as the
Executive Chef for Funky Catering Events, but you may know him as a two-time
Chopped Champion on Food Network’s Chopped. As a former Navy cook, he
spent four years in military service cooking aboard ships throughout Europe for
presidents and heads of state. Once his tour of duty wrapped he enrolled in the
Culinary Institute of America where he graduated top of his class. Chef Major was
in charge of the food at Great American Ball Park where he organized MLB All-Star
Game food festivities in 2015 for thousands of people a night. On Food Network,
Chef Major was one of four baseball stadium chefs picked for the Chopped
competition. And he won, finishing the day with popcorn ice cream for dessert. The
win led to a second appearance on Chopped called Chopped Impossible where he
returned as a fan favorite. He won his qualifier, making him a two-time Chopped
Champion before falling in the finals. Still, it’s pretty impressive adding Chopped
Champion to his resume. In his new role at Funky’s Catering Events, Chef Major
not only oversees the catering for private events at venues such as The Transept and
Pinecroft Mansion, he also serves the catering needs of Riverbend Music Center.
Thanks Chef James for donating your time to benefit Camelot Auction!

Dinner must be booked 60 days in advance of the desired date.  The dinner cannot be held in
May, June, September, October or December.  James will confer with the winner to choose the
menu.  Expires February 24, 2019.
