Parting View & Recession

Her light on earth it shines no more
On me it shines from heaven’s door.
It warms me now with every thought
The smiles and joy her light it brought
I never thought her light would leave
To her lights warmth my heart will cleave
And with every passing of my day

I can smile and firmly say
I told her I loved her up till the end
She wasn’t only my wife, she was my best friend.

Honey, I’ll miss your light, your smile, your friendship.

Miss Me-But Let Me Go
Dear Family and Friends
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no glitz in a gloom-filled room;
Why cry for a soul that’s set free?

Miss me a little – but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared.

Miss me – but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone.

It’s a part of the Master’s plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we knew,

And laugh at things we used to.
Miss me – but let me go.
~ Debbie
