1. SEJARAH PENUBUHAN BLOK ROSARI “MOTHER OF MERCY” TABUAN
DAYAK, KUCHING
Blok Rosari “Mother of Mercy” Kampung Tabuan Dayak (BRMKTD) telah ditubuhkan
pada 1 Oktober 1998. Ianya dibawah pentadbiran Paroki Roman Katolik St.Joseph
Kuching. Rektornya pada masa itu ialah Rev. Fr. Nicholas Ng. Blok Rosari ini
ditubuhkan dibawah Gereja Roman Katolik dimana Gereja Roman Katolik adalah
constitued body corporate dibawah Missionary Societies Ordinance (MSO) (Sarawak
Cap.106) 1963.
Pada permulaan penubuhannya BRMKTD hanya mempunyai 17 buah keluarga yang
kebanyakkannya datang dari kampung untuk mencari pekerjaan di sekitar bandar
Kuching. Pada tahun ini 2021, BRMKTD mempunyai sebanyak 24 keluarga. Terdapat
ahli-ahli BRMKTD telah berpindah ke tempat lain dan balik ke kampung masing-
masing.
Pada tahun 2000, kita telah dipindahkan ke Paroki Holy Trinity Kenyalang Park,
Kuching memandang Kampung Tabuan Dayak lebih dekat dengan paroki tersebut.
Rektor Paroki Holy Trinity Kenyalang Park pada masa itu ialah Rev.Fr.Stephen Lim.
Objektif, sumber kewangan dan aktiviti-aktiviti Blok Rosari “Mother of Mercy” Tabuan
Dayak diawal penubuhannya adalah seperti berikut:
i. Objektif
a. Menyatupadukan umat Roman Katolik melalui aktiviti-aktiviti yang dijalankan.
b. Membantu ahli-ahli yang menghadapi masalah seperti kematian.
c. Membantu ahli-ahli dalam semua aspek keagamaan.
ii. Sumber Kewangan
a. Sumbangan kecemasan sebanyak RM10.00 sekeluarga setahun.
b. Derma daripada ahli-ahli semasa doa rosari dan carolling.
c. Saguhati atau derma daripada wakil rakyat sekiranya ada.
iii. Aktiviti-aktiviti yang dijalankan
a. Mengadakan doa rosari dari rumah ke rumah ahli Blok Rosari ini pada bulan
Mei dan Oktober.
b. Carolling menjelang hari Krismas.
c. Mengadakan majlis persaudaraan untuk kanak-kanak.
d. Penziarahan ke tempat keagamaan Roman Katolik.
e. Menjadi hos untuk peserta KAYA sekiranya ingin terlibat.
f. Pusat Pastoral untuk seminarian dari seminari St.Peter sekiranya ada.
g.Terlibat dalam pengelolaan program keagamaan dan budaya sekiranya ada.

Diucapkan berbanyak terima kasih kepada semua paderi, katekis dan semua ahli
kerana telah membantu dari segi nasihat, tenaga dan buah fikiran dalam segala
aktiviti yang telah dijalankan. Puji Tuhan!
Diharapkan sikap ini dapat diteruskan demi kemajuan Blok Rosari kita lebih-lebih lagi
kemajuan dalam pembangunan iman.

Atas nama Bapa dan putera dan Roh Kudus. Amin.

3. SYAHADAT IMAN/THE APOSTLES’ CREED
Aku percaya akan Allah, Bapa yang Mahakuasa, pencipta langit dan bumi. Dan akan
Yesus Kristus Putera-Nya yang tunggal, Tuhan kita. Yang dikandung dari Roh Kudus,
dilahirkan oleh Perawan Maria. Yang menderita sengsara, dalam pemerintahan
Ponsius Pilatus, disalibkan, wafat dan dimakamkan. Yang turun ke tempat penantian,
pada hari ketiga bangkit dari antara orang mati. Yang naik ke syurga duduk disebelah
kanan Allah Bapa yang Mahakuasa. Dari situ Ia akan datang mengadili orang hidup
dan mati. Aku percaya akan Roh Kudus, Gereja Katolik yang kudus, persekutuan para
kudus, pengampunan dosa, kebangkitan badan, dan kehidupan kekal. Amin.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, I believe in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord, He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and
born of the Virgin Mary, He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was
buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into
heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the
living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the
Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting, Amen.
4. BAPA KAMI/OUR FATHER
Bapa kami yang ada di syurga, dimuliakanlah nama-Mu. Datanglah kerajaan-Mu.
Jadilah kehendakmu di atas bumi seperti di dalam syurga. Berilah kami rezeki pada
hari ini, dan ampunilah kesalahan kami, seperti kami pun mengampuni yang bersalah
kepada kami. Dan janganlah masukkan kami ke dalam percubaan, tetapi bebaskanlah
kami dari yang jahat. Amin
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will
be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us
our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into

5. SALAM MARIA/HAIL MARY
Salam Maria penuh rahmat, Tuhan sertamu. Terpujilah engkau di antara wanita dan
terpujilah buah tubuhmu, Yesus. Santa Maria Bonda Allah, doakanlah kami yang
berdosa ini, sekarang dan pada waktu kami mati. Amin.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women, and
blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
6. KEMULIAAN/GLORY BE
Kemuliaan kepada Bapa, dan Putera, dan Roh Kudus. Seperti pada permulaan,
sekarang, selalu dan sepanjang segala abad. Amin.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the
beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

7. HARI KEBESARAN WAJIB GEREJA KATOLIK
7.1 Setiap hari Ahad.
7.2 Kenaikan Tuhan Yesus ke Syurga.
7.3 Bonda Maria diangkat ke Syurga.
7.4 Semua Orang Kudus.
7.5 Hari Natal.
8. IDENTITI SEORANG KATOLIK
8.1 Melengkapkan Tiga Sakramen Inisiasi: Pembaptisan, Ekaristi dan Penguatan.
8.2 Membuat Pengakuan Dosa dan Menyambut Ekaristi sekerap mungkin.
8.3 Berdoa secara persendirian setiap hari.
8.4 Mengambil bahagian dalam aktiviti Gereja.
8.5 Menghadiri Misa Kudus setiap Ahad.
8.6 Mempertimbangkan kemungkinan kehidupan kepaderian atau kebiaraan.
8.7 Bernikah menurut undang-undang Gereja.
8.8 Mendidik anak dalam dari segi kata dan teladan.
8.9 Tidak memakan daging pada hari Jumaat.

9. SEPULUH (10) PERINTAH ALLAH
9.1 Aku Allah, Tuhanmu. Jangan memuja berhala, tetapi berbaktilah kepadaku
sahaja dan cintailah aku lebih dari segala sesuatu.
9.2 You shall have no other Gods but me.
9.3 Jangan menyebut nama Allah, Tuhanmu, tidak dengan hormat.
9.4 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
9.5 Kuduskanlah hari Tuhan.
9.6 Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
9.7 Hormatilah ibu-bapamu.

11. DOA ROSARIO
Marilah kita menghayati rancangan penyelamatan Allah dengan merenungkan Misteri
Rosari suci Santa Perawan Maria.
Kuasa pengampunan dapat diperolehi bila Rosari didoakan dalam gereja, dalam
keluarga atau dalam komuniti kaum beriman.
P: Atas nama Bapa dan putera dan Roh Kudus.
U: Amin.
Syahadat Iman

Doa Mohon Keampunan
O Tuhan, ampunilah kesalahan kami, selamatkanlah kami dari api neraka, bawalah
semua roh ke benua syurga serta mereka yang memerlukan belas kasihan-Mu.

11.1 Peristiwa Gembira (Isnin & Sabtu)
1. Maria Menerima Khabar Gembira Dari Malaikat
“Janganlah takut, Maria, kerana Allah berkenan kepada engkau. Engkau akan
mengandung, lalu melahirkan seorang anak lelaki. Hendaklah engkau menamakan
Dia Yesus”. (Luk 1: 30-31)
2. Maria mengunjungi Saudaranya Elizabeth
“Berbahagialah kamu antara semua wanita! Berbahagialah anak yang akan kamu
lahirkan itu. Mengapakah penghormatan yang sebesar ini diberi kepadaku, sehingga
ibu Tuhanku datang melawat aku?”. (Luk 1: 42-43)
3. Kelahiran Kristus
Dia melahirkan seorang anak lelaki, anaknya yang sulung. Anak itu dibedungnya lalu
diletakkan di dalam palung kerana mereka tidak mendapat tempat untuk menumpang.
(Luk 2: 7)
4. Yesus Dipersembahkan Di Bait Allah
“Anak ini sudah dipilih oleh Allah untuk membinasakan dan menyelamatkan banyak
orang Israel. Dia akan menjadi tanda daripada Allah, yang akan dilawan oleh banyak
orang, dan dengan demikian terdedahlah rahsia fikiran mereka. Seperti pedang yang
tajam, kesedihan akan menikam hatimu.” (Luk 2: 34-35)
5. Yesus Ditemui Kembali Di Bait Allah
Setelah itu Yesus pulang bersama-sama mereka ke Nasaret dan taat kepada mereka.
Ibu-Nya menyimpan semua perkara ini di dalam hati. Yesus bertambah besar dan
bijaksana, dan dia menyenangkan hati Allah mahupun manusia.(Luk 2: 51-52)
11.2 Peristiwa Sedih (Selasa & Jumaat)
1. Yesus Berdoa Kepada Bapa-Nya Di Syurga Dalam Sakrat Maut
Dia berdoa, “Bapa, ya Bapa-Ku! Tidak ada satu perkara yang mustahil bagi Bapa.
Jauhkanlah cawan penderitaan ini daripada-Ku. Tetapi janganlah turut kehendak-Ku,
melainkan kehendak Bapa Sahaja”. (Mrk 14: 36)
2. Yesus Didera
Pilatus hendak menyenangkan hati orang ramai, maka dia membebaskan Barabas
untuk mereka. Kemudian dia menyuruh orang mencambuk Yesus dan menyerahkan
Dia kepada askar supaya disalib. (Mrk 15: 15)
3. Yesus Dimahkotai Duri
Mereka memakaikan jubah ungu pada Yesus, serta membuat mahkota daripada
ranting-ranting berduri lalu meletakkannya pada kepala Yesus. Setelah itu mereka
memberi hormat kepada-Nya, “Daulat raja orang Yahudi!”. (Mrk 15: 17-18)
4. Yesus Memikul Salib-Nya Ke Gunung Kalvari.
Sambil memikul salib-Nya, Yesus pergi ke luar Bandar ke tempat yang bernama
“Tempat Tengkorak”. (Dalam bahasa Ibrani tempat itu disebut “Gogolta”)(Yoh 19: 17)
5. Yesus Wafat Di Salib
Lalu Yesus berseru dengan suara lantang, “Ya Bapa, Aku serahkan diri-Ku ke dalam
tangan-Mu!” Setelah demikian, Dia pun meninggal. (Luk 23: 46)

11.3 Peristiwa Mulia (Ahad & Rabu)
1. Yesus Bangkit Dengan Mulia
“Janganlah takut! Aku tahu bahawa kamu mencari Yesus yang telah disalibkan itu. Dia
tidak ada di sini. Dia sudah bangkit seperti yang dikatakan-Nya dahulu”.
(Mat 28: 5-6)
2. Yesus Naik Ke Syurga
Setelah Yesus berkata demikian, Dia terangkat ke syurga, sementara mereka
memandang Dia. Lalu awan menutupi Dia daripada pandangan mereka. “Hai orang
Galilea, mengapa kamu berdiri menengadah ke langit? Yesus, yang kamu lihat
terangkat ke syurga, akan kembali lagi dengan cara yang sama seperti yang kamu
lihat tadi”. (Kis 1: 9,11)
3. Roh Kudus Turun Ke Atas Para Rasul
Tiba-tiba terdengar bunyi dari langit seperti tiupan angin yang kuat. Bunyi itu
memenuhi rumah tempat mereka sedang duduk. Mereka semua dikuasai oleh Roh
Allah. Mereka mula berkata-kata dalam pelbagai Bahasa lain, menurut apa yang diberi
oleh Roh Allah kepada mereka. (Kis 2: 2,4)
4. Maria Diangkat Ke Syurga
Kemudian terlihat di langit sesuatu yang ajaib dan luar biasa: Seorang Wanita
berpakaian matahari dan kakinya beralaskan bulan. (Why 12: 1a)
5. Maria Dimahkotai Di Syurga
Dia memakai sebuah mahkota yang terdiri daripada dua belas bintang pada kepalanya.
(Why 12: 1b)
11.3 Peristiwa Cahaya (Khamis)
1. Pembaptisan Yesus Di Yordan
Pada masa itu Yesus meninggalkan Galilea lalu pergi ke Sungai Yordan. Di situ Dia
menemui Yohanes dan minta supaya dibaptis olehnya. (Mat 3: 13)
2. Manifestasi Yesus Di Perkahwinan Di Kana
Lalu Yesus berkata kepada mereka, “Sekarang ambillah sedikit air itu dan
hidangkannya kepada ketua majlis”. Ketua majlis itu mengecap air yang sudah
berubah menjadi wain. (Yoh 2: 8,9)
3. Perisytiharan Kerajaan Tuhan Dan Panggilan Yesus Untuk Bertaubat
Dia berkata, “Masanya sudah tiba; tidak lama lagi Allah akan memerintah.
Bertaubatlah daripada dosa kamu dan percayalah kepada Berita Baik ini!”.
(Mrk 1: 15)
4. Transfigurasi Yesus
Sedang Yesus berdoa, wajah-Nya berubah dan pakaian-Nya menjadi putih berkilauan.
(Luk 22: 19)
5. Permulaan Ekarisiti oleh Yesus Sebagai Penyataan Sakramen Untuk Misteri
Paska
Setelah Dia mengucap syukur kepada Allah, Dia membahagi roti itu lalu
memberikannya kepada mereka sambil berkata, “inilah tubuh-ku, yang diberikan untuk
kamu. Berbuatlah demikian untuk mengenang Aku”. (Luk 22: 19)

Salam Ya Ratu
Salam, Ya Ratu, Bonda yang berbelas kasih, hidup, hiburan dan harapan kami. Kami
semua memanjatkan permohonan, kami amat susah, mengeluh, mengesah dalam
lembah duka ini. Ya Ibunda, ya pelindung kami, limpahkanlah kasih sayangMu yang
besar kepada kami. Dan Yesus, PutraMu yang terpuji itu, semoga Kau tunjukkan
kepada kami. O Ratu, O Ibu, O Maria Bonda Kristus.
P. Doakanlah kami, ya Santa Bonda Allah.
U. Supaya kami dapat menikmati janji Kristus.
P: Marilah kita berdoa:
S: Ya Allah, Putera-Mu telah memperoleh bagi kami ganjaran kehidupan kekal melalui
hidup, wafat dan kebangkitan-Nya. Kami mohon, agar dengan merenungkan misteri
Rosari Suci Santa Perawan Maria, kami dapat menghayati maknanya dan
memperoleh apa yang dijanjikan. Demi Kristus, Tuhan kami. Amin.
Doa Permohonan
P. Marilah kita bawa segala keperluan kita kepada Allah Tuhan kita dan memohon
Bonda Suci berdoa dengan dan untuk kita.
P. Untuk keluarga kita.
U.Tuhan, berkatikanlah kami dengan cinta-kasih, damai dan kebahagiaan-Mu.
Lindungi kami daripada segala ancaman dan bahaya. Iringilah kami menempuhi
segala masalah dan bantulah kami mengatasi segala percubaan.
Maria, Bonda kami, berdoalah bagi permohonan kami ini.
P. Untuk Bapa Suci dan Uskup Agung kita.
U.Tuhan, curahkanlah kebijaksanaan-Mu ke atas mereka agar Bapa Suci dapat
memimpin seluruh Gereja dan Uskup Agung Gereja tempatan mengikut kehendak-
Mu.
Maria, Bonda kami, berdoalah bagi permohonan kami ini.
P. Untuk semua Paderi dan para religius kita.
U. Teguhkanlah mereka di dalam melayani panggilan mereka di dalam melayani
panggilan mereka. Perkuatkan mereka dengan karunia-Mu agar mereka dapat
menghebahkan Injil-Mu melalui perkataan dan percakapan dengan berani, murah
hati dan berkesan.
Maria, Bonda kami, berdoalah bagi permohonan kami ini.

P. Untuk tanahair kita.
U.Tuhan, anugerahkanlah Negara kami aman damai yang berterusan.
Curahkanlah kebijaksanaan-Mu ke atas pemimpin-pemimpin kami agar mereka
dapat memimpin Negara ke arah kemerdekaan, keamanan dan kesaksamaan
yang tinggi di dalam semua aspek.
Maria, Bonda kami, berdoalah bagi permohonan kami ini.
P. Untuk panggilan menjadi Paderi dan religius.
U. Tuhan, berserulah dari kalangan muda-mudi kami agar mereka menyahut
panggilan-Mu menjadi Paderi dan religius. Sentuhilah hati sanubari ibu-bapa
mereka supaya dengan rela-hati mengizinkan anak-anak mereka menyahut
seruan-Mu.
Maria, Bonda kami, berdoalah bagi permohonan kami ini.
P. Untuk calon-calon paderi dan religius kita.
U.Tuhan, bantulah mereka mencerap dan melaksanakan kehendak-Mu. Berkatilah
para pembimbing mereka agar dapat membantu di dalam pertumbuhan
kerohanian dan iltizam calon-calon itu.

Reflection:
We come here to share in the sorrow of the relatives and friends of our
brother/sisters… They are in tears because they have lost someone dear to them. Yet
death is a reality we cannot avoid; all of us must face it some day. Jesus, who has
conquered death, tells us that this experience of pain, sorrow and tears is only for a
time. For those who believe in him, there is promise of joy after death. God gave…to
us; he has taken him/her back. Let us offer our brother/sister back to the Father with
faith, hope and trust. (Pause)

Reflection:
This earth is not out eternal home; we are meant for the eternal kingdom of heaven.
Our vocation on earth is to live lives always pleasing to the Father. Let us reflect: the
death which happened to our brother/sister will happen to us, sooner or later. Have we
not more often placed our interests in material things rather than spiritual? What have
we done about living our faith? How much time and interest did we give? Lord have
mercy! Pardon us our faults! (Pause)
Rosary: The Joyful Mysteries
(1) The Annunciation:
It was good news of life to a world which was dead in sin. Mary welcomed God’s Word
whole-heartedly. Let us ask the Lord’s pardon for the times we and our departed
brother/sister…failed to welcome generously God’s Word of love, peace, reconciliation,
and conversion.

failures to fulfill the Father’s holy will. Let us pray that we may rise in our faith and live

Leader: God of all consolation, your Son Jesus Christ was moved to tears at the grave

When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed
in the house. Martha said to Jesus, “If you had been here, Lord, my brother would not
have died! But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask him for”.
“Your brother will rise to life,” Jesus told her.
“I know,” she replied, “That he will rise to life on the last day”.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live,
even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you
believe this?”
“Yes, Lord!” she answered. “I do believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God,
who was to come into the world”.
Reflection:
Jesus’ resurrection was so powerful that it destroyed the power of Satan and sin.
Where sin bought death, Jesus’ resurrection restored life. To those of us who mourn
over the death our brother/sister…, Jesus says: “…shall live. Do you believe this?” Let
us pluck up our faith and hope, look beyond our sorrowing and proclaim with Martha.

Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries
(1) The baptism of Jesus:
When John baptised Jesus in the River Jordan, the heavens opened and the Father’s
voice was heard, “This is my beloved son.” This was beginning of Jesus’ public ministry.
We ask the Father to welcome…as he/she begins a new life with him. We pray for
ourselves that despite failings we will always strive to begin again, confident that the
Spirit will help us.

(2) The wedding feast at Cana:

At the Last Supper, Jesus gave the great sign of his love for us – by giving his body

to the Eucharist for strength in facing our problems and challenges.

flasks of oil as well as their lamps. The bridegroom was late, and they all grew drowsy
and fell asleep. But at midnight there was a cry. ‘The bridegroom is here! Go out and
meet him.’ At this, all those bridesmaids woke up and trimmed their lamps, and the
foolish ones said to the sensible ones, ‘Give us some of your oil: our lamp are going
out.’ But they replied, ‘There may not be enough for us and for you; you had better
go to those who sell it and buy some for yourselves.’ They had gone off to buy it when
bridegroom arrived. Those who were ready went in with him to the wedding hall and

the door was closed. The other bridesmaids arrived later. ‘Lord, Lord,’ They said,
‘open the door for us.’ But he replied, ‘I tell you solemnly, I do not know you.’ So, stay
awake, because you do not know either the day or the hour.”
Reflection:
As we think of our departed brother/sister..., it is good to ask ourselves: When will our
turn come? How? Where? In what state shall we be at the moment of death: prepared?
Happy and at peace? Satisfied that we have led a meaningful life? Shall we be in fear,
frustration, or misery? To be always ready: to be awake in faith, prayer, and acts of
charity – this is what Jesus said, “Be always ready.” Jesus was always prepared.
(Pause)
Rosary: The Sorrowful Mysteries
(1) The agony in the garden:
It was a very trying period in the life of Jesus. He felt terribly isolated: his disciples
were sleeping; his father seemed to be silent. Jesus felt the honor and weight of sin
and suffering. Yet he was prepared to face all situations. He submitted to his
Father’s love for the world. Let us offer our departed brother/sister… back into the
embrace of God’s love.

(2) The Scourging at the pillar:
Jesus accepted all these humiliations and tortures silently and patiently. Let us offer

friends.

(3) The Crowning with thorns:
Jesus had to undergo insults and mockery. The world made fun of him as a king. He
was indeed God who left the majesty of heaven, became a man, and suffered for the
sake of our redemption. Let us pray that we may not be discouraged in the face of the
thorns of pain, disappointment, or even loss of our dear ones. Jesus, the king of love,
reigns; so too all those who live and die in his love.

(4) The carrying of the cross:
This was Jesus’ last journey. He carried the cross to calvary and made it a symbol of

Jesus won for all. We also pray that Jesus will help us take up our cross and follow
him everyday.

(5) Jesus dies on the cross:

gathered here learn to die ourselves, to empty ourselves, to let go of the unimportant
– and instead leave space for God and for others.

Opening Prayer:
Leader: God, our heavenly Father, you gave us hope of life through the resurrection

bereaved relatives and friends; fill our lives with the joy and hope of the

Word of God: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
We want you to know the truth about those who have died, so that you will not be sad,
as are those who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so
we believe that God will take back with Jesus those who have died believing in him.
What we are teaching you now is the Lord’s teaching: we who are alive on the day the
Lord comes will not go ahead of those who have died. There will be the shout of
command, the archangel’s voice, the sound of God’s trumpet, and the Lord himself will
come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first;
then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to
meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will always be with the Lord. So then, encourage
one another with these words.
Reflection:
Jesus died: Jesus rose. This is the very foundation of our Christian faith. All those who
die in God’s grace will rise to new life. We recall Jesus’ words: “I have come, so that
they may have life and have it to the full.” No doubt we feel sad that our brother/sister…
has passed away. Let us listen to Jesus challenging us: “I am resurrection and the life.
If anyone believes in me, even though he dies, he will live, and whoever lives and
believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” Like Martha, let us answer: “Yes
Lord.” With these words let us comfort and support one another. (Pause)
Rosary: The Glorious Mysteries
(1) The Resurrection:
By his rising, Jesus destroyed death forever. He gave us life. The disciples of Jesus
rejoiced, and they went around announcing with joy the Good News: “He is risen!” This
same assurance of life is given to our brother/sister…who was baptized in Christ and
died in him. Let us thank God for this gift of New Life.

(2) The Ascension:
Jesus was rewarded and glorified by the Father for his victory over Satan and sin. The

follow Jesus more faithfully in our life.

(3) The Descent of the Holy Spirit:

the Church in heaven. Let us pray for greater unity within our families.

(4) The Assumption of Our Lady into heaven:

before her Son. May she intercede especially for our departed brother/sister…so that
he/she may celebrate the joy of heaven.

(5) The Coronation of Our Lady in heaven:

the Holy Spirit that “all generation will call me blessed” has been fulfilled. We are happy
to proclaim her “Blessed”. We thank and praise God for the faith our brother/sister…
had in the power of God’s Word. Let us pray that we be more open to God’s word, for
it gives us life.
