LETTER FROM THE COMMISSIONER Well gentlemen, another year, another awesome season of BTBLE. Our 12th season ended with Jason taking down his second trophy, seven years after claiming his first. He’s built quite a juggernaut, with all the online calcs saying his team is a dynasty monster. The 2024 season will be our last as a 1QB league as we finally join the modern dynasty fantasy football era and switch to Superflex in 2025. This should bring some added draft strategy, more scoring, and assuredly even more trades as suddenly there’s more than two positions worth trading for! Overall the health of the league has never been better. Our two newest managers Scott and Paul are both building strong young teams and other than them, we’re still rocking 9 of our 12 original managers plus Lance who’s been here so long he’s basically a founding manager as well. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making my job as a commissioner mostly smooth sailing. It’s pretty rare to have a league go this long with almost entirely the same crew, and that’s a testament to you all. You also stuck it out as I learned the ropes and tweaked things until we got to this point, where I can confidently say we truly are basically the best league ever. Here’s to at least 12 more years of glory, agony, trading, and everything else that comes with this hobby we call fantasy football. Evan S. MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 04 The 2023 draft started off with some fireworks, as just hours before the draft kicked off we had a big trade. It’s Miller Time dealt the 1.02 (along with some spare change) to Sunday Funday, netting the 1.04, 1.09, and 2.04. The 1.02 became Anthony Richardson, who showed signs of superstardom before his injury, while IMT’s picks turned into Jahmyr Gibbs, Dalton Kincaid, and Marvin Mims. The draft itself was awesome, with 8 total trades, some big surprises (such as Sad’s Lucky Buck mistakenly drafting De’Von Achane at 1.05, which turned out to be serendipitous), and some huge hits late like Sam LaPorta at 3.06, Tank Dell at 3.11, and Puka Nacua at 4.12. The Draft Trades BTBLE is never short on trade action, and trades continued to roll in unabated before, during, and after the rookie draft and well into the season of course. Leading the way were the Sister Kissers and the Wagons, both of whom made a ton of deals. The Sister Kissers in particular went ham. There were 16 trades between the end of the 2022 season and the 2023 rookie draft, and the Sister Kissers were involved in 10 of them. They also got in on 3 of the 8 trades during the draft, and then there were 19 trades between the rookie draft and the start of the 2023 season and the Kissers were in on 13 of those. Absolute mad lads. Some of those trades were very regrettable, showing that sometimes the best moves are the ones you don’t make. For example, the Kissers managed to draft eventual dynasty and redraft TE1 Sam LaPorta at 3.06, but traded him two months later for Samaje Perine and a 2024 3rd and 4th. The logic was they already had Kyle Pitts and rookie TEs rarely pan out, but...oof. They Kissers were also able to grab eventual RB6 Kyren Williams for peanuts (Izzy Abanikanda and Kenny McIntosh)...but then later moved Kyren along with Gus Edwards and a 3rd for Evan Engram to back up Pitts. Engram turned in a TE3 season so it wasn’t a total loss, but his 172.3 points still paled in comparison to Kyren’s 238.0. During the season, the league saw a record 42 trades, including a three-way between Run CMC, Sad’s Lucky Buck, and Sunday Funday. Some big names were moved including Chris Olave, Puka Nacua (twice each), Jahmyr Gibbs, Breece Hall, Dak Prescott (also twice), Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, George Kittle, Keenan Allen, the aforementioned Kyren Williams, Nick Chubb, and Drake London. THE 2023 SEASON Regular Season The 2023 season was the first in BTBLE history with an extra game vs. the league median, and right out of the gate it was a gut punch for the Allen Carsons Project who managed to miss median wins each of the first three weeks by progressively more agonizing totals of 3.8, 0.51, and 0.29 points. After that, they righted the ship and went 8-3 vs. the median. Run CMC exploded out of the gates, putting up weekly high scores the first two weeks and the second-best total the next two weeks. However they hit a speed bump midseason, dropping several head to head games which allowed the GREATEST HITS to surge ahead in the standings.

The HITS would not relinquish their spot atop the standings, racing out to a 9-0 median record and an 11-0 head to head record including a signature 136.08-104.80 win vs. Run CMC win in Week 11. The HITS slowed down a bit towards the end of the regular season as the real-life Chiefs and Eagles offenses struggled, but they were still able to finish 24-4 to secure the top seed and the bye, while also setting the BTBLE record for head to head wins in a season with 12. One team that had the opposite kind of season to Run CMC and the HITS was The Fantasy Football Team. Where the former two teams started hot and slowed down a bit, the Team started 2-10 (1-5 head to head and 1-5 median), before turning it on and closing out the regular season by not losing a single game, head to head or median, the rest of the way. Obviously they came into the playoffs as the hottest team. On the other end of the spectrum, we had five teams that either came into the season knowing they were rebuilding or deciding to do so during the season: It’s Miller Time, the Wagons, Sunday Funday, Moore Mooney Moore Problems, and the Sell Outs. MMMP and the Sell Outs opted to maintain respectability while the other three went into all out tank jobs and competed to score the fewest max potential points to secure the 1.01, with Sunday Funday even craftily maneuvering their team so they didn’t have a healthy active QB to start. In the end Sunday Funday succeeded and grabbed the 1.01, while IMT got the 1.02 and 1.03 thanks to owning the Wagons’ first rounder from a preseason trade with the Sister Kissers. MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 05 The first round of the playoffs had an interesting mix of games. The Project upset Sad’s Lucky Buck 113.56-102.98. Hard Knox Life scored 120.72, more than either of those teams, but they faced the #2 seed Run CMC who dropped the week’s highest score, 141.68, to cruise into the second round. And then we have the third game, the #4 Sister Kissers vs. the red-hot #5 Team. The Team put up a solid 121.96 but it almost didn’t matter since the Kissers put up a pitiful 46.26, the lowest score in franchise history. Their previous franchise low was also set in the first round of the playoffs. Bunch of chokers. The second round was more interesting. The HITS entered the fray after enjoying a bye week, and they faced the Project. The Project had a surprise ready. Led by 46.0 from Amari Cooper, they dropped 181.36, the third-highest score in league history to move to the championship. The other matchup was much closer, with Run CMC putting up a slightly substandard 107.56 while The Fantasy Football Team put up 120.84 to advance to the ‘ship. And thus the championship was set: a rematch of the 2016 title game between The Fantasy Football Team and the Allen Carsons Project. The Project got a monster 29.1 point game from Kyren Williams as well as 25.8 from James Conner, but the Team countered with 33.7 from CeeDee Lamb and 20.9 from Brandon Aiyuk. Already without Amari Cooper and Christian Kirk, the Project then suffered ingame injuries to Alvin Kamara and Noah Brown. In the end the Team prevailed 133.76-110.16 for their second title. Congratulations! Championship 2023 Playoffs In the end our seven playoff teams were set. In order: GREATEST HITS, Run CMC, Sad’s Lucky Buck, the Sister Kissers, The Fantasy Football Team, the Allen Carsons Project, and Hard Knox Life.

MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 08 REVIEWING THE 2024 ROOKIE DRAFT

MALIK NABERS 1.04 WR2 - SELL OUTS Sunday Funday had the enviable choice between elite QB and WR prospects, and they went WR. Possessing prototypical size, elite speed, and sublime route-running, “MHJ” has been the chosen one for years. In each of the past two seasons he put up 1,200+ yards and 14 TDs, and he enters the league already a top 5 dynasty WR. A Jefferson or Chase-level rookie season is certainly within MHJ’s range of outcomes. The Sell Outs kept things chalky by grabbing Daniels’ real life teammate to pair with Garrett Wilson. Nabers was ok in 2022 (72/1,017/3) but went supernova in 2023 to the tune of 89/1,569/14 that helped him to top-6 real life draft capital. Nabers will surely become the new focal point of a tothis-point moribund Giants offense with the departure of Saquon Barkley, and perhaps he can play the same role for the Sell Outs. MARVIN HARRISON JR 1.01 WR1 - SUNDAY FUNDAY CALEB WILLIAMS 1.02 QB1 - THE FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM That left Caleb Williams at the 1.02. Originally selected by IMT, a massive trade a few picks later landed Caleb on the Team. Much like MHJ, Williams has been hyped for years, especially after a 2022 season that saw him put up 4,537 yards, 42 TDs with just 5 ints, plus 10 rushing TDs. His 2023 was also solid (3,633, 30/5, 11) considering he played with a poor surrounding cast and awful defense. He goes into perhaps the best situation a first overall pick has ever had and should dominate from Day One. JAYDEN DANIELS 1.03 QB2 - IT’S MILLER TIME IMT double-tapped QB and grabbed Jayden Daniels at 1.03. Daniels has been around for five years, exploding in a Heisman-winning 2023 season that saw him throw for 3,812 yards, 40 TDs/4 ints, and rush for 1,134 yards and 10 more TDs. His deep ball accuracy and insane rushing ability could break fantasy football - if Daniels doesn’t get broken himself first. In college he had a penchant for taking monstrous hits. MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 09

ROME ODUNZE 1.05 WR3 - MOORE MOONEY MOORE PROBLEMS With CJ Stroud and Joe Burrow already rostered, MMMP passed on the remaining QBs (in what would become a trend) and instead took the draft’s clear WR3 in Rome Odunze. Odunze is a senior thanks to Covid shenanigans, dropping 92/1,640/13 while leading the Huskies to the cusp of a national championship. He will join DJ Moore, Rashee Rice, and several fellow rookies to give MMMP’s new-look WR room some real juice. 1.06 TE1 - HARD KNOX LIFE XAVIER WORTHY 1.08 WR4 - SAD’S LUCKY BUCK JONATHON BROOKS 1.07 RB1 - WAGONS The Wagons threw the first curveball of the draft with their selection of Brooks at 1.07. Brooks bided his time behind Bijan Robinson at Texas, but he seized his opportunity in 2023, rushing for over 1,100 yards on 6+ ypc with 10 TDs before a November ACL tear sadly ended his season. Brooks will potentially start the year on PUP, but he should bring some pop to the Wagons RB room later in 2024 and for years to come. BROCK BOWERS Long frustrated with the randomness of the TE position, HKL decided to put an end to it and selected Brock Bowers at 1.06. Bowers is arguably the best TE prospect of all time, establishing himself as the best offensive player at an elite Georgia program as a freshman and never looking back. Bowers has insane speed and agility for his size, not only leading Georgia in receiving every year but also contributing almost 200 yards rushing and 5 rushing TDs at a program noted for its running backs. MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 10 The Buck desperately needed WRs so their pick of Worthy was hardly a shock. The owner of the fastest 40 time in Combine history separates himself from players with similar times by actually producing in college, showing Worthy is more than just a speed demon. Paired with Patrick Mahomes, Worthy could become Tyreek Hill-lite for Chiefs and Sad’s Lucky Buck offenses than both need infusions of youth and speed.

1.10 QB3 - IT’S MILLER TIME 1.09 WR5 - MOORE MOONEY MOORE PROBLEMS A few picks after grabbing Rome Odunze, MMMP double-tapped WR by drafting Brian Thomas. Thomas was a beneficiary of Jayden Daniels’ breakout 2023, notching over 1,000 yards and a whopping 17 TDs. “BTJ” is incredibly fast (4.35 40) for his size (6'4", 205 lbs) and although there are some concerns much of his production came on several long TDs against bad teams, he should become a focal point for the Jags offense and provide week-winning fantasy scores for years to come. DRAKE MAYE 1.12 QB4 - SISTER KISSERS That let the Kissers eagerly snatch up the value on real-life 1.03 Drake Maye all the way at 1.12. Like Caleb Williams, Maye posted an incredible 2022 (4,321, 38/7, 7 rushing TDs) and just a solid 2023 (3,608, 24/9, 9) with a lesser supporting cast. He also goes to a Patriots offense that’s being retooled on the fly. However if he can harness his immense talent, Maye can be a huge steal just like CJ Stroud, last year’s BTBLE 1.12. At 1.11 the Wagons were at it again, eschewing players with much higher real life draft capital to grab another RB, Trey Benson. Benson was incredible in 2022 and solid in 2023 and tested very well athletically. He will likely split time with James Conner in Arizona before becoming a full time starter in 2025, and gives the Wagons a home run threat at RB that it doesn’t really have with the likes of Javonte Williams and Zamir White. JJ MCCARTHY JJ McCarthy is the QB IMT received in the huge Caleb Williams trade. Much like Williams, McCarthy goes to a dream situation throwing to Justin Jefferson and co. with a great head coach and playing in a dome. McCarthy didn’t have much raw output in college thanks to playing for Jim Harbaugh, but he has all the tools and came up clutch again and again in leading Michigan to a 2023 national title. However injuries began to mount, especially at QB as first Anthony Richardson and then Daniel Jones went down for the year. Despite breakout campaigns by Brian Robinson and Isiah Pacheco, Sunday Funday slumped to an 8-20 record, securing the 1.01 pick thanks to fewest max points. QB: C Sunday Funday’s QB room has a lot of variance. Anthony Richardson lit it up fantasy-wise in his limited 2023 action. Kirk Cousins was having his best season and now goes to an offense with excellent weapons. Daniel Jones has a solid offensive coach and a true WR1 for the first time in his career. On the other hand, Richardson is still very raw and it’s a question whether he can stay healthy. Cousins is 35 and coming off a significant injury. Daniel Jones was having a terrible 2023 before his torn ACL and also has lingering neck issues. So let’s split the difference and go with a C for this QB room. Notable Bench Players QB Kirk Cousins QB24 Trade - ‘23 Player '23 Finish Acquired WR Jermaine Burton - Rookie 2.07 WR Ricky Pearsall - Rookie 2.05 RB Tyrone Tracy - Rookie 3.01 Isiah Pacheco and Brian Robinson are both pretty solid starters. Robinson saw Antonio Gibson leave only to see Austin Ekeler join the Commanders. However the depth behind the starters is brutal, with rookie Tyrone Tracy probably being the RB3 on the team. MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 17 WR: BMarvin Harrison Jr provides this WR room that true WR1 it’s been missing since Antonio Brown’s heyday. Chris Godwin and Diontae Johnson then slide into WR2-type roles that suit them better, with Jayden Reed as another strong contributor. TE: A The only thing keeping this rating from A+ is the number of roster spots devoted to TEs. When you roster Trey McBride and Mark Andrews in a non-TEP league there’s almost zero reason to roster even one more tight end, let alone four. X-FACTOR: JAYDEN REED Reed showed big flashes in 2023, closing the regular season with games of 16.5, 14.2, 23.9 and 13.2 points. However the Packers are loaded with weapons including marquee free agent RB Josh Jacobs, so it’s certainly a question whether Reed can earn consistent volume. If he can though, he could provide the kind of scoring punch Sunday Funday needs to complete with the league’s elite. POTENTIAL BREAKOUT: TREY MCBRIDE One could argue McBride broke out in 2023, but it feels like there could be a lot of meat left on that bone. If you knew nothing about the NFL and turned on a random 2023 Cardinals game you’d be forgiven for thinking McBride was one of the best players in the entire league. In 2024, that could actually be the case. At the risk of sacrilege, at times last year McBride resembled prime Gronk. 2024 ROSTER VALUE

MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 20 After trading for the 1.02 last year, Sunday Funday came into the 2024 draft with the 1.01. Last year they selected QB Anthony Richardson and this year opted for the WR and went Marvin Harrison Jr. 1.01 - MARVIN HARRISON JR, WR, OHIO STATE As mentioned, Sunday Funday bucked Superflex ADP and went with MHJ over Caleb Williams. MHJ did land in a nice spot in Arizona with a solid QB, home games in a dome, and a seemingly up-andcoming coaching staff. However given the situation Caleb Williams steps into, and Sunday Funday’s QB2 and QB3 being pretty fragile, this is a decision the franchise may come to rue. Grade: B 2.05 - RICKY PEARSALL, WR, FLORDIA Sunday Funday traded back to this slot and ultimately netted a player with better draft capital and in a much better offensive system than the player chosen at their original 2.01 pick (Ladd McConkey). 2.07 - JERMAINE BURTON, WR, ALABAMA Burton is the latest in a long line of excellent Alabama WRs, although off-field concerns knocked him down in the real draft. No stranger to those, Sunday Funday moved up three spots (probably unnecessarily) to grab him and add another potential starter to a pretty lacking WR room. Grade: B 3.01 - TYRONE TRACY, RB, PURDUE Sunday Funday kicked off a third round RB run by making Tyrone Tracy the sixth RB off the board. The former Boilermaker played three years of WR at Iowa before transferring and switching to RB, and finds himself on a pretty barren depth chart. Grade: A 2024 ROOKIE DRAFT RECAP AND GRADES OVERALL GRADE It’s hard to argue with any of these picks which addressed need and were pretty good values. Before the season manager Lance signaled perhaps it was time for a teardown by dealing away Jonathan Taylor, and indeed 2023 did see the Wagons go into full rebuild. This was despite not owning their own first rounder, which ended up as the 1.02. Despite that, the Wagons managed to acquire some exciting young players as well as get back into the first round of the 2024 draft. QB: F When it’s a legitimate question whether Deshaun Watson, Will Levis, or Derek Carr is your best QB, there’s no way to sugarcoat it: your QB room is bad. Watson at least has showed in the past he has an elite ceiling, although those days are pretty far in the rear view now. Levis gets an upgraded coaching staff and some veteran WRs, so maybe he can take the role of QB1. RB: C+ When the 2023 season ended, the Wagons were starting Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong at RB. Since then, they’ve done a ton of good work, trading for Devin Singletary, Javonte Williams, and Zamir White and then spending first round picks on Jonathon Brooks and Trey Benson. That’s not an amazing group, and there’s really nothing behind them, but it’s light years better than where this team was entering the offseason. Notable Bench Players QB Will Levis QB33 Trade - '24 Player '23 Finish Acquired WR Jameson Williams WR81 Trade - ‘24 RB Devin Singletary RB31 Trade - '24 WR Quentin Johnston WR75 Trade - ‘23 2023 FINISH: 6-22 (11TH) PF: 1,092.98 (12TH) PA: 1,399.60 (7TH)

The Wagons had rebuilt the WR room to a pretty strong state, but dealt away 2023 buy-lows Drake London and Christian Watson for Will Levis and the draft capital that brought in Jonathan Brooks among others. The room is still passable, led by Tee Higgins and George Pickens and containing perfectly cromulent depth pieces like Jerry Jeudy and Darius Slayton. Young guys like Quentin Johnston and Jameson Williams remain major question marks and are going to have to work hard to avoid the bust label. MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 25 WR: C TE: BStarter Kyle Pitts is still one of the most valuable tight ends in the league, and now in a modern offense, attached to a good QB, and theoretically at full health, he could finally fulfill his immense promise. His backups however are barely worth mentioning. X-FACTOR: KYLE PITTS Speaking of Pitts, he will likely be the key if the Wagons are to end their rebuild early and make some noise in 2024. A truly elite tight end can mask a lot of other deficiencies, and if Pitts explodes for a TE1 overall season (well within his range of outcomes), he could drag the Wagons to the playoffs. POTENTIAL BREAKOUT: ZAMIR WHITE Zamir White got 20+ carries in every game he started last year, and has only Alexander Mattison and day three rookie Dylan Laube to compete with for touches. The Raiders retained grindit-out defensive coach Anthony Lynn and got what should be at least a small QB upgrade when they signed Gardner Minshew. If the Raiders can be even average on offense and White can stay healthy, he could flirt with a low-end RB1 season. 2024 ROSTER VALUE

MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 28 The Wagons shockingly had not made a single first round pick since 2017 when they drafted DeVante Parker at 1.07. Coincidentally, that was the year they won the championship. Also coincidentally, they picked 1.07 this year thanks to the Drake London trade (as well as 1.11 thanks to a trade up with the Project). As for their draft, there is a common phrase in the dynasty world: “draft for talent, trade for need”. The Wagons...did not follow that mantra, selecting RBs with all three picks. 1.07 - JONATHON BROOKS, RB, TEXAS The consensus RB1 despite a November ACL tear, Brooks backed up Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson at Texas, exploding for over 1,400 yards in 10 games when he got his shot in 2023. He goes to two teams desperate for RB talent in the real-life Panthers and the fantasy Wagons. That said, with two real-life top 10 QBs and two real-life first round WRs on the board, this feels like a bit of a reach. Grade: C+ 2024 ROOKIE DRAFT RECAP AND GRADES OVERALL GRADE The Wagons made two ok-to-good picks sandwiched around one bad one. They traded away Christian Watson and a 2025 3rd round pick and received Will Levis from the Sell Outs in return. For a team with decent WR depth and badly in need of a QB, it was a solid move. Grade: B 1.11 - TREY BENSON, RB, FLORIDA STATE Benson had an otherworldly 2022 but fell back to earth in 2023, which resulted in just third round draft capital. That didn’t stop the Wagons from reaching to select Benson at 1.11, ahead of Drake Maye and multiple first and second round WRs. If none of those players appealed, there was most likely a trade-down opportunity to net some additional assets. Grade: F 4.07 - ISAAC GUERENDO, RB, LOUISVILLE Isaac Guerendo absolutely tore up the combine which resulted in him being the latest 49ers midround RB pick. Past winners of that dubious honor include Trey Sermon and Tyrion Davis-Price, so here’s hoping Guerendo can avoid their career paths and contribute literally anything. Any RB in the 49ers offense is tantalizing, and the price was certainly right for the Wagons. Grade: A

It’s Miller Time didn’t mess around when it came to the QB position. They spent the 1.02 and 1.03 picks on QBs before swinging a huge trade with the Team, moving Caleb Williams in return for JJ McCarthy, Brandon Aiyuk, Josh Downs, and picks. IMT wasn’t done there, selecting Michael Penix at 2.09 to end the 2024 draft with three QBs drafted in the top 8 of the real draft. Of course QBs bust all the time and Penix likely won’t play for two years, but this is still a QB room that’s far, far better than it was at the end of 2023. After going 3-11 in their debut 2022 season, IMT went 4-24 in 2023 as the rebuild continued. Bijan Robinson was as good as advertised (although hampered by Arthur Smith), and Chris Olave came on board late in the year. Unfortunately Justin Fields flamed out and with Superflex on the horizon in 2025, IMT came into the offseason needing to devote major resources to fixing their QB room. The IMT TE room is the polar opposite of the WR room, beautifully constructed with a young rising talent in Dalton Kincaid and then one solid backup in Cole Kmet. With the departure of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis from the Bills offense, Kincaid is poised to return value on his first round selection in both real life and the 2023 BTBLE rookie draft. MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 33 WR: CIMT has done well to acquire legit WR starters Chris Olave and Brandon Aiyuk, but after them it gets messy pretty quickly. Josh Downs and Romeo Doubs are serviceable, but as of this writing the team is carrying a monstrous 18 WRs, most of whom would never inspire confidence as a starter. This looks like a best ball WR room, which knocks this grade down significantly. TE: A Bijan Robinson and Tyjae Spears are a fine starting duo, but injuries and bye weeks happen, and IMT doesn’t really have another solid RB option right now. That could change though if Kendre Miller can stay healthy and earn a bigger role in a newlook Saints offense. X-FACTOR: KENDRE MILLER As mentioned above, the BIlls offense will look very different in 2024. To this point the former fifth round pick Khalil Shakir has been an efficient role player. He’ll undoubtedly be asked to step it up in 2024. If his efficiency can carry over with increased volume, Shakir could become a star. POTENTIAL BREAKOUT: KHALIL SHAKIR 2024 ROSTER VALUE

They came into the 2024 draft with seven rookie picks and left it having made nine picks and three trades, including one of the biggest trades the league has ever seen. 1.03 - JAYDEN DANIELS, QB, LSU Just because Jayden Daniels was the chalk pick at 1.03 doesn’t make it a bad one, especially for a team that came into the draft without a single starting QB. Grade: A 2.02 - ADONAI MITCHELL, WR, TEXAS IMT finally scratched that WR itch, grabbing Mitchell at 2.02 ahead of three WRs with better draft capital. For a team with a massive stable of meh WRs, swinging for the fences seems like the right call. Grade: B+ 2.09 - MICHAEL PENIX, QB, WASHINGTON After trading back from 2.03 to 2.09, IMT grabbed their third QB of the draft. QB wasn’t a bad decision given the remaining players, but Bo Nix (who will get to play) was on the board. Grade: C 3.03 - BUCKY IRVING, RB, OREGON Finally IMT got on the RB train with Bucky Irving, who has the unfortunate combo of being both small and slow, although he was ultra-productive for the Ducks. Grade: C 3.11 - JAVON BAKER, WR, UCF After two meh picks in a row, IMT hit a home run here. Grade: A+ 4.03 Brenden Rice LAC WR19 4.08 Braelon Allen NYJ RB14 DRAFT TRADES (3) As mentioned, IMT made three trades. The first was definitely the biggest: Caleb Williams (1.02) was sent to The Fantasy Football Team in exchange for JJ McCarthy (1.10), Brandon Aiyuk, Josh Downs, the 4.08, and a 2025 2nd. This could backfire if Williams ascends to the top tier of dynasty QBs, but for now it gives IMT a massive windfall. Grade: A A few picks later, IMT traded out of 2.03 for 2.09, 3.11, and a 2025 4th. Another big value gain here given the tiers at this spot in the draft. Grade: A+ Finally, IMT traded the 2.12 to the Sister Kissers for the second year in a row, this time getting back the 3.03 and 4.02. Grade: B 1.10 - JJ MCCARTHY, QB, MICHIGAN McCarthy is a proven winner (whatever that’s worth) and lands in a beautiful situation. Their head to head record was a respectable 6-8, which would have just missed the playoffs on tiebreaker if the league still did purely head to head. They also scored 100+ five times in a seven week span (Weeks 6 through 12). All that said, a 3-11 median record and 52-102 aggregate record showed there’s still lots of work to do. QB: B+ Sell Outs QB1 Lamar Jackson had a vintage 2023 in Todd Monken’s modern offense, finishing as the QB4. Another year of development from Zay Flowers and a healthy Mark Andrews should serve Lamar well. Behind him is Tua Tagovailoa, who seems to start ever year like gangbusters only to wither as the weather turns. The return of Aaron Rodgers also looms. RB: DTravis Etienne broke out in a big way in 2023, finishing as the RB2 in BTBLE scoring despite the Jaguar coaching staff’s insistence on smashing him up the middle behind a subpar line. Etienne’s skill is not in question, but what is in question is who is going to play RB for the Sell Outs behind him. The RB2 at this point would likely be Chuba Hubbard, who just saw his real life team trade up to draft the first RB off the board. Rookies Ray Davis and Will Shipley could chip in some points here and there, but this RB group needs an infusion of fantasy points in a bad way. There’s a saying in football where if you have two QBs, you have none. It’s somewhat the same at the TE position in a nonTEP league. The Sell Outs have two decent starters in Jake Ferguson and Dallas Goedert, but you can only start one (assuming you don’t make the mistake of flexing one) and neither of those guys is o difference maker. Plus there’s two roster cloggers behind them in Greg Dulcich and Luke Schoonmaker (the ultra-rare tight end handcuff). MAY 2024 | ISSUE 02 41 WR: B For the third year in a row, the Sell Outs drafted a WR in the first. This year Malik Nabers (1.04) joins Jaxon Smith-Njigba (1.03 in 2023) and Garrett Wilson (1.07 in 2022). Christian Watson was also acquired on draft night, giving this squad a pretty decent top four if Watson can get his hammy right. The problem rears its head after those four, since the nextbest WR on the team is likely Kendrick Bourne, who is coming off an ACL tear and just saw his team draft two WRs in the first four rounds plus sign KJ OSborne. TE: C The Sell Outs have put together a pretty solid starting lineup, save for one glaring hole: RB2. While that’s probably the best spot to be weak at, you still want to get at least a few points there. Enter Ray Davis. If he can carve out some work in a potent Buffalo offense behind James Cook, he could give the Sell Outs the points they need to win those close games and put themselves in the BTBLE playoffs for the first time. X-FACTOR: RAY DAVIS Sometimes the obvious answer is also the correct one. Wilson has shown flashes of his immense talent in his two seasons, but was robbed of good QB play when Aaron Rodgers went down a handful of plays into 2023. Assuming Rodgers can stay healthy (or Tyrod Taylor can provide competent QB play in the event he cannot), Wilson’s production should finally catch up to his talent. But even before the games began, MMMP was getting the white flag prepped, trading away Austin Ekeler for a 2025 1st (which turned out to be an excellent deal). Despite a Rookie of the Year performance by CJ Stroud and the long-awaited breakout of DJ Moore, MMMP missed the playoffs for the first time since all the way back in 2016. QB: A+ The strength of MMMP is clearly its QB room, where Joe Burrow is joined by 2023 Rookie of the Year CJ Stroud. No team in BTBLE comes close to that 1-2 punch and MMMP manager Nick D must be counting down the days until he can unleash both these beasts at once. RB: DOnce known for its strong stable of RBs, MMMP is basically down to Rachaad White and backups. Sure guys like Zach Charbonnet, Ty Chandler, and Tyler Allgeier have shown flashes, but none can be counted on for reasonable production without an injury to the starter in front of them.
