CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER DOODLES

** Colored pencils and/or crayons help to make
this activity even more fun!

• Have students open to the “Chronological
Order Doodles” page in their packets.

• Explain to students that they will need to
sketch a comic strip for a common nursery
rhyme. As they doodle their comics, they
should be aware of the sequence of events
in the nursery rhyme.

• Students can choose from 4 nursery rhymes
(or you may give them the option of
choosing their own).

• Give students a chance to sketch the
rhymes.

• Then, have students share their work with a
partner.

• As a class, discuss the sequential order of
their comics.
