In the years to come, Podiatric
Medicine will become more exposed
to the eyes of the public and
professional communities. Because
of this exposure, the future
podiatrist must be well versed in all
aspects of Pediatric Medicine.
Surgery, although it is only a part of
the field of Pediatric Medicine, it is
an important part. It is the goal of
A.C.F.S. to insure it's members as
much added exposure as possible, to
make his or her surgical education
complete.
On behalf of A.C.F.s:, I would
like to wish the graduating seniors a
happy and rewarding future, in
serving, truly, the community as a
doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

KAPPA RHO COLLECTIVE
Im
.. · ecember· of 1979, it was the feeling of a group of students
t ;the time had come for a student service organization at
€PM. This was because of a difficulty in recruiting students to
artidpate in College-sponsored foot screenings. Out of this need
. sprang the founding of the Kappa Rho Collective under the
" leadership of Harry L. Penny, President. The official charter was
awarded in 1980.
The immediate task the group faced was in developing a core of
students who were dependable and knowledgeable enough to serve
as on-site organizers for the screening projects of the Community
elations Department directed by Mrs. Ethel Arnold.
After the initial organizing was begun, it became apparent that
ther departments in the College could benefit from the efforts of
appa Rho Members. Before the end of the year, Kappa Rho
volvement had extended to almost every area of OCPM, including
dent Recruitment, Development and Continuing Education. As
uation neared, Kappa Rho worked on a clean-up campaign by
ing and painting areas both inside and outside of the College.
