General Description

The T-ISS SeaMate Ve-1 is a hydrostatic release unit, designed to operate in all conditions, from
extreme heat to the polar environment. In the exceptional situation your vessel sinks, the T-ISS
SeaMate Ve-1 will automatically release your life rafts and EPIRB's. Our innovative design
increased the reliability, that's why the T-ISS SeaMate Ve-1 has an expiry life of 3 years. This
means you only replace the HRU every 3 years, instead of 2 years which is common. Besides
the cost saving, this also reduces the environmental footprint. The T-ISS SeaMate Ve-1
hydrostatic release also fits on remote release systems, this enables you to release life rafts
remotely. An EPIRB model is also available, delivered with the bolt and nut to connect the EPIRB
to your vessel.

General Description

The T-ISS Life Raft / Rescue Boat Hook is a combined automatic release hook which can
handle rescueboats and life rafts up to a safe working load of 35 kN.

The advantage of using the T-ISS Px01:
• It will increase safety, as the crew only need to familiarize themselves with one hook, instead of

two, there is no second hook, dangerously swinging around when lowering.
• In distress situations the crew will instantly know which hook to use, as there is only one hook.
• The most economical solution, why buy two hooks if one is sufficient?

This hook can be used for rescue boats with a davit load less then 3500 kg and/or a davit
launched liferaft up to 40 pax. The hook can be operated as an automatic release hook,
releasing when the craft enters the water, or as a manual release hook, whereby the load needs
to be off the hook before releasing.

Introduction
Photo luminescent

The photo luminescent material used on SafeSign signs, stores the energy from light sources and releases
the light energy in darkness. SafeSign only uses 100% environmental friendly material, free from any toxics
or radioactive additives. The photo luminescent material needs enough light to be activated while the
brightness and period of glow depends on the grade and thickness of pigment used. SafeSigns only uses
photo luminescent material that exceeds the glow properties required. All photo luminescent signs and Low
Location Light systems use the same, DNV certified, material.

Safe Sign innovated the sign industry by replacing the commonly used PVC with a modified PET. The benefit
of this modified PET is that the product is completely recyclable, reducing the environmental footprint. PVC
contains halogens, which can produce highly toxic fumes, and therefore the use of PVC is more and more
prohibited. Another benefit of the modified PET used, is the resistance against UV. Where PVC will discolor,
and becomes yellowish, Safe Sign modified PET comes with a 10 year warrantee, even when used outdoor.
SafeSign signs will not discolor.

Back-printing

SafeSign innovates by introducing a new way of sign 1. PET Transparent plate
printing. Instead of printing the photo luminescent layer and 2. Color Print
color print from the front, we developed a procedure 3. Photoluminescent print
whereby the colors are printed from the backside and then 4. Foam tape 1mm
the photo luminescent layer is printed. This way, the printing
is protected from environmental influences, from the back
side it is sealed with a PE closed-cell foam tape which has a
self-adhesive backing. The result is a sign with a shiny
finish on the front, which is mounted easily with the self-
adhesive backside and can be cleaned easily. All signs are
delivered with a protective front film, which must be
removed after mounting.

The most economical signs!

The cost of signs is merely a small part of your total cost of signage. Identicications, ordering, transport,
installation and invoicing are usually more than 90% of the cost. You can reduce this substantially by using
SafeSign signs. Safe Sign signs are guaranteed good, for 10 years and easy-to-fix thanks to the self-
adhesive backing. Save serious money on all these replacement cost while applying an evironmental
friendly purchasing policy. Sustainability through innovation!

All photo luminescent signage needs to meet the requirements stated in IMO resolution
752(18). This means that these signs need to provide, as a minimum, 15 mcd/m2 after 10
minutes and 2 mcd/m2 after 60 minutes when no longer exposed to an illuminating source.
Signs, as low location light systems, need their luminance to be tested at least once every 5
years. Therefore it’s key to use quality signs which provides these values, and not only in the
first months.
Especially signs used outside need to be of such a quality, that the exposure to UV, does not
discolour the plastic, if so the requirements will not be met. T-ISS signs are made out of a
modified polymer plastic which doesn’t discolour when exposed to UV light. The photo
luminescent layer is protected as T-ISS prints the signs from the backside. You can rest assure,
when using our signs, that you’ll be safe for at least 10 years.
