TUJUAN / PURPOSE:
Kertas Penerangan ini bertujuan untuk memberi pengetahuan kepada murid tentang
spesifikasi, jenis rekaan, reka bentuk, ukuran, ciri rekaan, langkah kerja dan keperluan
keselamatan yang perlu dibuat semasa menghasilkan pakaian malam bersesuaian
dengan kehendak pelanggan.

1. SPESIFIKASI PAKAIAN MALAM
Pakaian malam ialah pakaian yang sesuai dipakai pada waktu malam. Biasanya
pakaian ini merupakan pakaian tidur wanita seperti gaun malam dan pijama. Pakaian
malam boleh mempunyai garis leher, pelbagai jenis lengan atau tanpa lengan, dan tali
di bahu. Fabrik yang sesuai untuk pakaian malam adalah diperbuat daripada kain
kapas atau kain satin.

2. REKAAN PAKAIAN MALAM

i) JENIS KOCEK

 Kocek mestilah dilekatkan di tempat yang sesuai dan selesa kepada si pemakai.
 Ia mesti dijahit dengan cermat, rata dan dikukuhkan di atas dengan jahitan mesin

dua kali.
 Kocek yang hendak digunakan mestilah cukup dalam untuk mengelakkan benda di

dalamnya daripada terjatuh.

ii) JENIS LENGAN

 Lengan ialah satu kaedah menyudahkan keruk lengan.
 Lengan didraf dengan pelbagai stail yang bersesuaian dengan bentuk badan dan

jenis pakaian.
 Lengan juga berfungsi sebagai melindungi kecacatan pada tangan dan

mengekalkan ciri tradisi sesuatu pakaian.

 Kegunaan kolar adalah untuk mengemaskan garis leher pakaian, menunjukkan
rekabentuk pakaian dan juga dibuat untuk menutup kecelaan leher si pemakai.

 Kolar adalah bahagian yang dilekat atau dijahit sekali pada pakaian. Kolar
boleh didapati dalam berbagai jenis dan bentuk.

Pemilihan Fabrik

Pemilihan fabrik dan bahan yang tepat adalah sangat penting supaya dapat menghasilkan

pakaian yang menarik dan selesa dipakai.

Fabrik yang nipis, sederhana tebal seperti Fabrik sederhana tebal seperti Linen,

kapas campuran, Poliester,Kapas, Linen Satin, Chiffon, Polyester cotton.

5. LANGKAH KESELAMATAN

i. Sebelum memulakan kerja, murid perlulah membersihkan tangan, tempat
kerja dan peralatan menjahit supaya dapat menghasilkan kerja yang
kemas dan teratur.

ii. Pastikan suis mesin jahit dan seterika ditutup selepas menggunakannya.

iii. Sentiasa mengutamakan keselamatan terutama semasa menggunakan
alatan menjahita yang tajam seperti gunting, jarum dan peretas.

iv. Laporkan pada guru dengan segera apabila berlaku kemalangan di
bengkel jahitan.

Mengambil ukuran badan merupakan langkah pertama yang perlu diambil untuk
menghasilkan sehelai pakaian. Setelah mengambil ukuran badan pelanggan, pola didraf
mengikut lakaran kehendak pelanggan seterusnya menggunting fabrik mengikut pola
yang telah didraf.
