• Revenue of $596K vs budget of $444K – Bonus has been booked –

driving most of favorable variance
• Expenses are $701K vs budget of $729K
• No changes to current forecast
• Don McKneely made a motion to accept financials
• Yareli Esteban seconded motion
• Motion carried
• Brandon Rakestraw opened up discussion on the Budget, especially

related to the special reserve
• Margo Posey presented the 2023 Budget and the special request

use request including sales support, move and 50 Anniversary
• Thomas Crowther made a motion to accept budget and special

reserve request

the pandemic, however, I have tried to do the best for the
council as well as for my community to bring in positive

I am running for the Asian American seat. As a current
representative of this seat, I have demonstrated leadership
in my community and the Council in helping to promote
diversity and awareness of culture. I have had several
successes, and these have led to immense growth in the
knowledge and general outcomes. I have focused on MBE
challenges and ways to improve on this.
The Council has further helped me learn to remain strong
and continue to build on our business skills and grow.
Examples of my leadership would include:
1. An ability to work with people of various cultures and
backgrounds to find similar ground to work together on
different initiatives.

In addition to my career as a physician, I am an entrepreneur,
having successfully established a firm in the field of
consulting and technology. In this journey, I have trained
myself in establishing and growing a business, learnt about
software technologies, and developed leadership skills in
several areas.
As a result of my entrepreneurial focus, I traveled to Europe
to establish business there.
My background is heavily centered in Medicine and its
advancements, as well as technology and how it can help
humans. I have worked with people of different cultures,
preferences, industry backgrounds and knowledge levels. My
work experience is in the Private and public sector in
healthcare, as well as with veterans. This has helped me
appreciate diversity and its value. Every experience has been
a learning opportunity and I am very grateful for all that I
have been able to accomplish in the different walks of life.
I continue to support diversity as well as STEM education.
My Medical education was initially in Europe, and
subsequently I did my medical internship and
specializations in different institutions in the US. This has
provided a global perspective, and helped my company to do
business in 24 countries. I am also fluent in multiple
languages, including Hungarian, Hindi, Bengali.
I have been fortunate to have the Council’s help with
business education, whether it be in the form of webinars, or
meetings and this has helped immensely with growing and
developing my business experience. I have equally given
back to the community and society in generous ways
whether sponsoring or volunteering my time and experience.
